the funny thing is i know someone named blaze AND someone named jeb. jeb is his full name and he wasnt even bullied, he was the most well known and popular guy. blaze wasnt popular but he wasnt made fun of, he ended up dating one of my closest friends (theyre still dating)
AITA- I ruined this servers whole economy- My friends started this smp together, the server had been up for a few days and they thought the world was strangely bare, they couldn't find any structures, keep in mind that these two ppl who had started the server are like mega-grinders. They invite me on once they start getting settled down. They give me some gear after i die like 5 times show me around and stuff and then i just randomly go off in a direction and pretty much instantly find a structure, like how did they not find it already? It was unlooted and everything. Like two weeks later they managed to find their first village and set up a perm. residence there. Me being the psycho i am who didnt already have a home decided hey i'm gonna go explore for a good place to make a house... my friend (the owner joined me) we went exploring for about two hours anf maybe in that entire timespan under my lead we found maybe 20 villages? We also travelled like 15k blocks in this process. I feel bad these people just live off of the one village they found themselves while i go and find every structure in the game on accident. We ended up going back to by that original village to set me up so that i wouldn't be 15000 blocks away. Makes me wonder how the server would have gone without me. We ended up getting so tired from finding continuous villiages that every time we would find one we would just turn the other way. As you can probably imagine with all the people on the server they kept calling on my services to find villages, mansion, strongholds, ancient cities you name it. All of the various shops and buisnesses on the server weren't doing well because i was providing everyone with a free way to get access to whatever they needed. It speaks for itself that while they did invite me back for the revamp of the server they put specific guidelines in place tailored towards me and what I did. I theorize that i was the reason season 1 shut down. And why they put guidelines such as "one must find their own biomes and structures, they cannot have another do it for them" Gosh i miss that server.
Aita (though the "I" is more like "we") Me and a few of my friends had been playing on a server for 3-ish months when one of them decided to invite their partner as well. We were ofc happy to do that, but then on their first day (this was their partner's idea but we agreed to do it so ig that doesnt matter) we decided to do a group mining session with the new player (us all already being kitted out in diamond) but in actuality we led them to an Ancient City and had them set their spawn. You can guess what ensued lmao. We thhought it was funny as an introductory prank but they were really upset (its all good now btw) 😭. We are used to pranking each other and never take it seriously so i didnt think too much of it but yeah... i didnt take into account that they barely knew us at that point and it was an a**hole move imo
Yes. Unless you knew they would find it funny the whole time, but you said they were really upset, so I don't think so. It's not welcoming, and everyone experiences situations differently, but if it were me, when I were younger, I would probably continue to feel like I wasn't welcome there and I'd probably just put up with it since everyone else was OK with it. Not because I was okay with it. I've had a couple boyfriends whose friends didn't like me from the start, and they would treat me really badly, usually disguising it as a joke, but it was never funny for me, just bad feeling. And that's what your story reminds me of.
AITA - my friend and I had been on a server for about half a year when he decided to build a fancy house, it required alot of quartz. So he goes and mines and mines, he talks about how long it is taking. So I make a trip to the nether and find where he has been mining to help him, and his tunnels were odd(x-ray like), but I let it slide because it was alot of quartz and I didn't want to reset 6ish months of my hard work. While mining he dies with all his quartz in his shulkerboxes to lava. Well a bit of time passes and I see hers built his house so I think that he recovered right. My mind wouldn't let it sit though because he had it done to soon after he died, so since he had told me how much quartz he needed I checked his his stats and ran the numbers, it was beyond obvious he didn't obtain the quartz required. We live near each other and hang out so it was easy to wait for him to leave and check. I was so angry because he had went behind my back. I then continued on to destroy all of his stuff, blow up his builds and chunk ban the area he logged out at. He begged me to forgive and unban the chunk but I never did, it broke a long running friend ship. However am I the Asshole
a-hole, idk this feels like an overreaction. talking to him about it and asking him not to do it again would've been a better route. after he does it again, you can just tell him hes getting banned cause cheating is rude and there.

I'm really late to this but here's an old memory from the archives: AITA for tearing down a friend's house after they moved into my front yard? I was on an old SMP around 2020 with a couple online friends. When we started, I spent a really long time building up my house and my area. An old friend joined about a week after we had started the SMP, so at that point I had built a wall around my area to keep out mobs and to claim a bit of land for farms so I wasn't in anyone's way. When I logged in after they joined, I found a 4 by 4 box of granite right in the middle of my front yard, with a sign that said it was their "house". I dm'd them asking why they'd built in my area, and they said they just wanted a place to keep away from mobs while they got geared up. They asked if I was okay with them living in my yard, and I agreed to let them for the time being. About 3 weeks had passed, and they were very active on the server but never moved out. The box was replaced with a 10 by 10 box, nearly taking up my entire yard, and was built out of polished diorite I had gathered for my own build. (I know this because I confronted them about it, and they said they thought I wouldn't mind.) The entire outside of the box had torches on every. single. block. and they had even broken some of my farmland for space and built a strip mine out of a creeper hole they had made, so I was constantly falling in whenever I tried to leave my house. I asked multiple times if they could make their "house" smaller, or if they wanted me to help them build somewhere else and they brushed me off, saying they wouldn't stay much longer. After another 2 weeks, I got fed up and mined up the entire box and moved their chests and belongings outside of my area, filled in the strip mine and creeper hole, and used the diorite to finish my build. They dm'd me and confronted me about it, saying they were about to build their own area and I shouldn't have touched their stuff. I said they had been building in MY area and I had let them live there long enough. AITA?
Dunno if I'm too late to reply but nta. The way I judge a lot of these minecraft aita stories is "would this kind of thing happen on hernitcraft?" I could totally imagine mumbo building a tiny caravan next to grians megabase and "borrowing" resources but as soon as one of them says 'enough', that would be it. Players on an smp should respect each others projects and boundaries etc which your friend wasn't doing and they also weren't communicating with you clearly enough for their annoyance to be justified. They don't sound at all courteous or like they understand the basic etiquette players should show each other on an smp. I don't even understand why it was so imperative that they camp out in your front yard when a little bit of torch spam is enough to make even remote areas safe from hostile mobs. I think the big thing that I totally forgot is if they didn't even ask your permission in the first place then that's not very respectful of them and they're the ahole. Video games are supposed to be fun, we don't play them to make ourselves miserable, so when we have friends who make playing on an smp miserable, I totally understand that actions have to be taken into your own hands, they should be grateful you didn't just tnt the place Edit: I reread your comment and realised I missed that they'd asked if it was okay to live there temporarily. However, this was only after the first granite box was built and they weren't clear about time parameters at all
The only thing I can think of for AITA Minecraft is that I run a server for my friends, and they want to make a “wither sanctuary” and spawn like 30 withers, and I told them I’d have to be underground and away from main area to avoid lag and total destruction. They are still upset. I didn’t even say no. (They aren’t really that upset, just the joking friend type of upset)
AITA I'm the owner of a realm smp and sometimes I go into creative mode and add things to my build or give myself little enchantments, the reason I do it is so I can have more fun in the future as I find the part of constantly gathering resources a little repetitive but I find it more fun when I have better gear
Nah I dont think its an asshole move.. It can be tedious to gather stuff, so if you do this like once in a while then its fine. But doing it consistnatly and abusing it then yea, its quite unfair for the other players playing
AITA?: Soo for context, I own a Minecraft realm Smp and yknow typical survival me and my friends were having fun. So the drama starts when my friends agreed that they didn’t want me to invite one of our friends that griefs bases and x-rays a lot. Long story short: That friend changed their username and skin to something completely different, and got one of my friends to get them invited Soo now I figured this out when my friend slipped up about it, but I continued to pretend not to know and mess with them. Am I the A-hole for not banning them after realizing it and instead asking questions as they keep lying and lying about this person named Hope who doesn’t exist?
Also one of my friends built a castle on an island in this Smp and after this, “Hope” went and dug up every piece of dirt and just erased the island from existence, and then claimed it wasn’t griefing because all of those blocks were natural and my friend hadn’t built them.
*Minecraft AITA For Rage Quitting?* My friend and I were on this server and I tend to hoard a lot of things, so you can imagine how messy my storage chests were. This friend I have can't handle the Nether (too stressful) and the last trip we had together we barely made it out alive fighting Blazes. So one day, they wanted to go on some adventure (I think to the Nether I can't remember). During this time I was in the Nether gathering some building blocks (New Nether update, I was excited) which made me far from the portal to get back. My friend (in the call) started giving me a time limit to get back. I was trying to get back until I heard my friend say, "If you don't come back within __ minutes I will destroy your chests". I wasn't quick enough. By the time I got back, I see two double chests (that were filled to the brim) broken with stuff on the ground. I tried to grab chests and spam click the items back, but my friend kept destroying the other chests behind me. After seeing that more were broken, I just left the game and said I would never play with them again. (P.S. - The stuff was never picked up. I know this because they DM'd me saying that my stuff was going to despawn if I didn't come back.) No hard feelings toward the friend, but I was annoyed. AITA?
I do have on AITA story that I feel bad about. There was one time on an smp where I was messing with my friend because I had a separate account I was watching their stream with while playing Minecraft. Everyone was in on it and it really through them off trying to figure out if it was just me or two sperate people. My friend panicked for a long time. Eventually I told them and apologized, along with giving them Minecraft materials they really wanted. We are still friends but I feel bad to this day for being so mean and confusing them so much.
My mom was a middle school teacher for 40+ years. She had a kid named Blaze, yes that was his real name and yes kids made fun of him, and he was mad at my mom for giving him after school detention because he threatened another kid in the class. So the next day he had his, actual crack head uncle, write my mom a letter stating not nice things about her and threatening our 2 outdoor cats with "disappearing".
Our group had a sever, and one of the friends were saying they were an amazing builder. However, when we went to look at it, it was a complete replica of one of grians builds. Not just that, but he had hacked in several illegal items. Soooo, we kinda blew his base sky high. He was pissed, and no one told him who did it. all he knew was that his base was gone and replaced with a sign saying property of grain. Were we the a-holes
Even Grian says to not fully copy his builds. Although, it still takes work to follow the Tutorial, and I’m pretty sure there’s nothing super wrong with obtaining illegal items unless they give you an advantage in riches or combat. Things like end portals, I think, are fine to glitch in. Overall, I think that you’re slightly in the wrong, but it was still pretty harmless for a server.

AITA - Just to preface this, this was about now...3 or 4 years ago. Since that's the case I don't remember a ton of the details but I know that it was within my main group of friends (there were 4 of us in total.) We started up a good ol' Minecraft smp on my Realm from scratch and split off into two different groups. Me and my friend N being one group, and another group being C and F (names retracted for obvious reasons.) We had been playing for a good while and it was only N and myself online at the time. I took an adventure into the Nether and nearly immediately lost all my stuff in lava. Me and N agreed to back the server up, figuring it would be alright...and while we did get my things back we didn't tell the others until afterwards. They weren't mad that they lost progress more so than they were mad that I had said at the start that I wouldn't cheat (since I had a tendency to do so in the past when smps got boring) and they took the backup as blatant cheating and therefore me lying to them. I should also say that they thought that us splitting up was us being in competition with one another and the backup gave us an advantage as well (I never saw it as a competition.) That then started...quite a huge fight but I suppose the question remains as follows; am I the a**hole?
AITA - I play on an SMP with a bunch of friends. We're all experienced players so the worlds are always set on hard mode and we run it Hermit-style, so think crazy builds, sprawling cities, or massive autofarms. I mentioned to a friend that I'd only killed one warden so far since the update with them came out, and the next time I logged in there was a lever and a sign telling me to flick it once. I didn't and dug around instead, because that's, you know, suspicious AF. I had my dog with me, but I didn't sit him because I knew who'd written the sign and figured it would just be a secret room with some dispensers at best, but I fell down a long hole and instantly heard warden noises - I couldn't find the exit at the top of the hole even with my elytra and had no blocks on me, so both me and my dog got sonic boomed out of existence. I had almost no time to think of a way out since the warden pretty much one-hits you in hard mode. The friend who built it felt so bad and helped me get all my stuff back, as well as drowned the warden and showed me how it was supposed to work: the warden floated through a water stream cycle, bringing it into range of me for just long enough to get the blindness and heartbeat effects, but not get actually aggro'd before it fell out of range again. I wasn't supposed to die at all. AITA for still being a little upset that my dog died, even though he apologised a lot and the trap wasn't (meant to be) deadly? I don't care that I died at all, all my gear was recovered and I can get back levels easy peasy, it's just the dog lol.
I'd say you can't blame your friend since you chose to mess around with it and weren't careful not to fall. The friend put in a lot of effort to make it meaningful and safe, you just went off the expected path. It's normal to feel upset your dog died, but not to push the blame on them instead of taking responsibility for risking it yourself.

Am i the podcast minecraft edition (From the perspective of a friend, who is actually an hbomb stan and will probably see this and recognize it) I'm a person who loves my pets. I collect a lot of them, and i name them all. Dogs, cats, Axolotls, if its cute, I'll keep it. On this server, the players were split into two teams, and my team decided to all live together in a giant mountain megabase. With all the redstone, mobs, and general height within the base, it started to get pretty laggy. A friend of mine was known to complain about the lag. She had a pretty good pc, but hated that it would drop her down to 30 FPS in some spots. At one point she got caught killing some of the axolotls in the community pond to "Cut down on lag" but those ones werent mine. But then a ton of my dogs went missing. I asked around in case anyone would admit to it, maybe it was a mistake, but nothing. The server owner checked the log, they were named, so the kill messages were logged. It shows up in the chat as that friend killing them. Like 10 of them. They proceeded to backpedal and claim that their cousin was using their computer, but the server owner said that the timestamps on the killing happened while she was in discord VC with everyone. She then backpedaled again and made a half-assed apology to me in the form of a minecraft book, then moved out if the megabase and never logged on again. I would at least partially understand if it was really to fix the lag, but it was still just as bad after the pet murder. They're just minecraft pets but I get attached to them, and they were blatantly nametagged, and in a designated area so far down that they wouldnt even be causing lag up in the base.
I play on a creative world with my partner and we build cute things together. I love it but I also wish we could try to do other things like SMPs or mcci,even though I know it’s out of her comfort zone. AITA?

Here's a little juicy story of Minecraft "am I the Ahole?" from my experience, or rather "who is the Ahole?" as it's not really about me but two friends... I played on a small private SMP server at the beginning of lockdown. I'm pretty experienced with Minecraft but the other players weren't. One day the server owner went mining for multiple play sessions during which time a friend set a TNT trap on his ladder back home. The friend, being fairly noobish didn't really understand the mechanics and wasn't good at redstone - essentially two TNTs went off at different times and the server owner died and his loot was destroyed. Annoyed, he temporarily banned his friend citing his lost time and that friend was an Ahole who should have known better than to prank with TNT. Server owner told me how much he lost and I thought that it wasn't even that much, but as another noob mining was less time efficient for him so it felt like a lot to him. Server owner unbanned his friend the next day after getting over it, but friend didn't come back on because he felt bad. Server owner also reloaded a backup to recover some of his loot which also reset some building work I had done. He just did this without telling anyone but fortunately it wasn't much time I lost. So who's the Ahole? Friend for pranking with TNT or server owner for overreacting, banning and reloading a backup? At the time the perceived Ahole was definitely friend with TNT trap even though I thought server owner didn't react that great and undermined his moral high ground a bit. But honestly, all I was concerned with was making sure they made up and both returned to the server because it was very uncommon for friends of mine to be at all interested in Minecraft and I didn't want the server of only five members to fall through so soon! After the backup was reloaded, the guys called me, "the expert", in to diffuse the bomb which was also restored in the back up hahaha.
I can’t really think of any AITA moments, since I don’t really play on servers much, but I think I have one. AITA for snatching items from people’s bases (and accidentally destroying some budding amethyst blocks)? About a year ago (a few months after 1.17 came out), a few online friends started a survival Minecraft server, and they invited me and a bunch of others. It had the Origins mod (I was a Shulk). The Shulk has a sort of “emergency inventory”, in which the items in it don’t go away if you die. I wasn’t online much (had some irl stuff going on), but whenever I was I took to taking things from people’s chests (an iron ingot, some meat, an egg, copper, little things), and replacing them with flowers or with other people’s items. I’d store the stolen items in my emergency inventory, so no one ever knew it was me. I found it really funny at the time, because it left people very confused. Some people complained about it, but since nothing of major value was misplaced, it wasn’t a huge issue The biggest problem arose when I entered a room in someone’s new base (previously an amethyst geode) and, seeing these floating amethyst blocks that looked very randomly placed, decided to rearrange them and put them in the ceiling, where they’d look nice. I think the placement bothered me, or something. What I didn’t know is that these were budding amethyst blocks, which cannot be picked up and just disappear when broken. I noticed I didn’t pick up anything after breaking 2 of the blocks, and sort of panicked. I ended up using the person’s amethyst shards (from a chest they had in the same room) and built 2 amethyst blocks from them, placing them back in their original spots and fleeing the scene. I didn’t tell anyone, which was a bad move on my part, and I don’t know what happened, because after that I didn’t log back in. The server was deleted about a month after, for other unrelated reasons. I never came clean. I do feel bad about it, even if I didn’t know exactly what the blocks were. Edit: my time perception is a mess, it’s been about 2 years since 1.17 came out.
AITA for killing my friends in game pets Me and my flatmates had a LAN SMP. It run off my computer because i played on it a lot. I noticed that something was causing lag around spawn that would make my pc very sad so i invtergated. Turns out one of my flatmates had been breeding a lot of animals so there was a massive amount of mobs in their animal farm. So i killed them down to 2 of each mob. i put the drops in some chest. However, i didn't notice the name tagged animals mixed in with the other mobs and, as such, killed their pets. I didn't know i had done this until almost a week later when they logged on and came into my room very upset. i had killed their pets. I apologize and explained what i did and why. They asked me to go back to an old save so they could get their pets back. I said no because I'd been building in that time and probably spent a good 7 or 8 hours on my build in that time. They got pretty upset at me and stopped playing on the smp. I get i should have told them to kill some of there mods to stop lag rather then just doing it myself but i really didn't want to bug then as they had assignments due for university that week. AITA
my parents has a same argument about my sisters name. My dad wanted to name her something from star trek and my mum was not having it. Until my dad found a name that was very pretty and from Star Trek and asked my mum if they could name her that (without mentioning it was from star trek) and my my mum agreed. 3 years ago my mum found out and was not happy about it

my juicy drama: i once was playing MC on a public server and made friends with these two guys, probably teenage boys tbh meanwhile i was like 20, and it was fine until suddenly they stereotypically started getting weird about "simping" and jealousy and i was like. okay I'm done, I just wanted to play Minecraft and have fun, so i went away and made new friends. One of the boys was Not taking rejection lightly as usual and he repeatedly tried to TP kill me but i was too quick on the /back. i reported him to a mod and it got taken care of but before it was over, he was threatening to blow up his build. He made some really beautiful builds and i was like "you said you were leaving the server so just leave. i like the builds so just walk away." of course he was like nooo so he covered it in TNT and while he was threatening i asked in the discord chat if there was any way for me to protect someone else's build from themself. alas, there is not, as i figured. he blew it up. also while i was hanging out with the new friend, who had some gorgeous builds and several enormous fields of crops, the teenager teleported to me (or maybe he just found me idk i cant remember) and actually started griefing the guy's crops (you have a finite number of blocks you can claim and with it being so large, it wasn't protected.) so that was another check on the ban hammer. rip. he even left me a threatening sign at one point in the beginning on my old house near his that was like "no matter where you go, i will find you. we can do this the easy way or the hard way." lmfao

(I got one) Aita for blowing up a thief’s camp So a little background me and my friend started a little minecraft realm where people could invite others and one of the people that got invited was someone named doc. Doc was probably the shadiest player on the server and one day all my valuables and items that i cared about disappeared (i had a little starter camp thinking no one would take them cause that’s normally how small servers go for me). So after asking around me and my friend found out it was doc and i tried finding his camp it took about a hour of searching and majority of what was stolen was found (i knew it was my stuff because of goathorns) so we stole everything back then we blew up everything else as revenge and we left a sign with our discord names but our discord names arent the same as our minecraft names so he thought it was another person and blew up their castle. We never were caught and the server is now down but all i ask is aita?
You're not an asshole for retaliating against someone who did something to you first. And you aren't responsible for what that person does in the future to other people (though it's not unreasonable to feel bad empathetically).
AITA Me and my friend (who we will call M for this) were on our SMP and for some reason one day we decided to start pranking people. The first thing we did was flood someone’s house (as well as turn their floor into a cake floor.) This started our secret organization that I believe we named chaos in a different language. (Latin maybe?) anyways none of the other SMP members really knew what was happening. We would do little pranks and then leave signs with our organization name on it, claiming the deed as ours. We even went as far as to do it to ourselves so that people wouldn’t suspect us. One day M decided to steal a cat from one of the SMP members. Now this member, L, was one of our favorite people to torment. She happened to be very easy to prank and she would get really easily confused. I’m not exactly sure what happened to the cat that day, because I was not involved in the catnapping. All I know was that it somehow ended up in a hole somewhere underneath spawn. L was incredibly, incredibly upset about her stolen cat. She started accusing people of being one of the secret organization members. M and I didn’t want to get caught, so we decided to blame it on one of the other members of the server, A. A had absolutely nothing to do with any of the situation. L unfortunately was not entirely convinced, so we ended up going to court. I was M’s lawyer and A was L’s lawyer. We had a different player come in to be the judge. I managed to convince L (and the judge) that M was not the one who took the cat (even though most of the evidence pointed towards her.) I managed to convince L that A was the secret organization member who did it. Unfortunately right after the trial was over, M decided to blow up the courthouse. We also then decided to reveal to A our secret organization headquarters and told her that we were the ones behind everything the whole time. M had largely been suspected of the chaos, but I had flown mostly under the radar. Anyways, AITA for helping my friend to frame someone for stealing someone else’s cat as well as committing many crimes on the server?
AITA for calling my friend out for cheating? So few years ago when dream manhunts were really popular, me and my friends decided to try it. Like one person trying to beat the game while rest 3 of us chased them. The only problem... We sucked at it. We all took turns being the person others wouod hunt but non of us even got close to beating it. Most of the time we would just lose the person and would have no means to find them and the person dies on their own while trying to beat it. Context, none of us has ever beat the game yet so we changed a few rules. The person would win instantly if they found diamonds, also the person being chased must tell their either their x or z coordinate every 5 minutes without telling which coordinate they told. We also had a rule thst the person being hunted must not be the owner of the server. We all started trying this and still no one could do it. Now after a few daya this guy, let's call him Fz suggested we try doing the manhunt thingy again and all of us hunting him. We all agreed but, first thing that was suspicious was that he was the one who created the world when someone else was supposed to do it for him. Secondly, steaight up knew exactly where the diamonds were and third they were not on the 11 or 10th level. It was something like 15. I called him out for this and he said that i was jealous that he's the first one to finish this challenge and also asked for proof and i told him that the diamonds are found on 11, and he lies saying he found it on 11 and Fz went on about how this game was legit when it ended in like 10 minutes. I know searching ofr diamonds isn't that hard but afor a person to go from 2 hours and failing to 10 minutes IS suspicious. Also said i had no clear reason blaming him. Aita for calling him out when he clearly cheated?
No, call out everyone. People are insecure and will try to make you feel bad for calling out their flaws, but you don't deserve that. Even if you end up being wrong about something, don't let people discourage you from questioning things.
AITA? I kept fighting the dragon alone or with a limited group of people, it was just taking too long, this group and I kept making new SMPs and I got better and better on each one-- on the first one, it took us a few weeks to beat the dragon, on the newer ones, it was taking me a day to get maxed stuff and beat the dragon-- the owner got really angry with me when I defeated the dragon alone and on the second day one time. (The worst part is that most people on there were streaming it)
Usually servers have a rule for when and who can kill the dragon. If there's no rule, you didn't do anything wrong. If you heard of people hoping to stream the dragon and went ahead alone anyway , yeah, that's insensitive.
I have a theory that the last story was actually written by an older sibling (my guess is 16 years old and they just added 20 years to their age). I have a hard time believing a 36 year old father would have the time, will, and gall to edit together a video to cement his lie, keep up the lie for several months, continues lying despite knowing their child is in anguish, has the self-awareness to know what he's doing is wrong but can't help himself, then seemingly bragging to others by making this post. I don't think OP has friends with whom they can share their wrongdoings with and decided to make this post just cause they can't contain themselves.
I have heard that a lot of these AITAs are made up shit, but I wouldn't underestimate the prevalence of bad parenting. People are failing to grow up in great number. Power makes many grown-ups do really, really bad things. See: World leaders, government, people in any position of power whatsoever.... grown adults harm others all the time and force people to harm eachother.

AITA - I get mad at the founder of a player village, and he blows up my home for it. So, I started in this server around a month ago, Made a few online friends there, around half a month ago, I join this player village, filled with players. I live beside this one player, one of the founders. I move in with my colorful tent, right behind his bee hive tree. I give him a free banner, (my job is a banner maker btw.) Since I just moved into the village, the same as the rest of the players living there that I find online. A day later, I'm making a new business called Never Ending Errands, where I always get paid for certain tasks I need help with, such as getting dye. Around half a week later, I find claims around my home, also, if you don't live on a server with claims, (which you probably do) Basically, They keep players from building in certain spots. But on this SMP, they keep you from moving into the claims without permission. So I'm stuck there because this dude put claims around my tent. Later, the other founder logs in, seeing me in this situation, he gets the other founder to do /trust, which lets me walk on their claim. later, He blows up his claim, blowing up mine. So I'm having to rebuild my entire tent, and move into my old house, which is just mine! Am I the Asshole?
AITA for taking my teammates stuff and throwing it into the void? this happened years ago...as in, during middleschool while I'm now in college. But I digress--I was playing bedwars with an IRL friend in the summer. The friend used a fireball to make me fall into the void on the way back from middle, when I had a good amount of emeralds and diamonds on me. I was mad, but in a jokingish way, and took all the stuff we had in our chest and jumped off the edge on purpose as revenge (though I thought it was funny). The friend who hit me off got super mad at me and left the game, didn't talk to me for the rest of the summer. When we got back to school, he was never the same and I'm told by mutual friends he never liked me after that. I never thought it was that serious and was under the impression that if he could screw me over, I could screw them over, and it was all a joke. Am I The Asshole for being petty?
I blew up 2 weeks of hard work up on an smp i was on... am i the asswhole? Part of this is irl, other part is minecraft! My friends sister was having a birthday party and invited me and our other 2 friends over. The mom (who is the owner of the server me and my friends are on) spiked the punch. I got achole poision from it and i told my mom about the punch. She wasnt able to get in any trouble and proceed to put the blame on me (which people believed). I was mad at her so i hunted down her base and blew up all her hard work and everything she did on sever then left. I still get messages from her daughter complaining about h9w much damage ive caused her mom... so the real question is, am i the asswhole?
This is not an amtb but one day back during close beta i was on mcc island and the decided to play sky battle for the first time, i went there and saw two guys in chat making rude offensive comments to women. As a woman myself, i got really upset by this and said they were being rude and stuff. They didnt give two shits so i just kinda left the lobby, to this day i dont really play sky battle, for different reasons but even more so after that.
This is not us playing minecraft or happened in minecraft but it is related and this pop up on my brain immediately. AITA for telling my aunt that her parenting is just shit and not minecraft? So apparently her 5 year old son got a knife and tried stabbing his dad, saying "die die" whilst doing it. And my aunt of course justifies that by telling everyone that it is because of minecraft. She banned everything minecraft related in the house and even tells other parents to not let their kids play or watch videos related to minecraft. I at the time was building houses with my nephew (not her son) when she went balistic about how minecraft is bad influence and should never be played. I told her that we were just building houses and there are youtubers that are good, do not curse and just builds stuff. She kept shouting at us so I told her that its her fault that it happened because she cant control her child, cant even teach him about knives and just shit at parenting. I apologize to her right after but shes still mad at me for that. I just dont care anymore.
Am I the butthole for exploiting a server bug to get Dimond gear when crafting it is disabled? so a few days ago, i got invited to join a minecraft smp, with a bunch of random creators that were much smaller then I am, and the owner of the smp made is so that you can't craft anything with diamonds not even a JUKEBOX! Also the nether was closed. His reasoning was that he doesn't want people to get op stuff like diamond or netherite armor on the first day. which is fair and understandable. So me and my friend just casually played on the server and then happened to come across a village. That's when we realized "hang on a sec we could get Dimond armor and tools from villagers" we knew that craft anything with diamonds was disabled and we had a feeling that the owner had also disabled enchanted diamond armor/ tools trades but we wanted to try it anyways. So we spent a few hours trying to trap villagers and get their jobs set up and ready and then we logged off for the day. But the next day when I came back, I had found out that another member from the smp got banned a week or 2 ago for getting diamond armor/ tools from villager trades. Which made my friend lose faith in getting diamond gear from villagers as for sure the owner would have patched that up and made it impossible for us to get Dimond gear from villager. Right? NO! A few hours went by and we unlocked the Dimond gear trades and were able to get the Dimond gear from villagers, ofc we got it when no one was online to avoid getting insta banned as you get the Dimond armor achievement in chat. So the next day, after getting out Dimond gear, we didn't really know what to do. So my friend and I decided to create a little skit with another member were we mug them, and surprise them with our diamond gear (kill them) and they were ok with that. We proceeded as planned and after we had killed the member in our skit instantly the owner joined the server (he was watching the person dying's stream) and proceeded take away our diamond gear and talk to us like children saying "why did you get diamond gear your not meant to have it." etc etc (side note my friend and I are 19 and the owner is like 20 - 21) I tried to reason with him and explain saying "hey if there is a way to get it what's wrong with getting it, you didn't disable it from villagers hence I didn't do anything wrong" he didn't like that reasoning and proceeds to ban my friend and I.

AITA- I ruined this servers whole economy-
My friends started this smp together, the server had been up for a few days and they thought the world was strangely bare, they couldn't find any structures, keep in mind that these two ppl who had started the server are like mega-grinders. They invite me on once they start getting settled down. They give me some gear after i die like 5 times show me around and stuff and then i just randomly go off in a direction and pretty much instantly find a structure, like how did they not find it already? It was unlooted and everything. Like two weeks later they managed to find their first village and set up a perm. residence there. Me being the psycho i am who didnt already have a home decided hey i'm gonna go explore for a good place to make a house... my friend (the owner joined me) we went exploring for about two hours anf maybe in that entire timespan under my lead we found maybe 20 villages? We also travelled like 15k blocks in this process. I feel bad these people just live off of the one village they found themselves while i go and find every structure in the game on accident. We ended up going back to by that original village to set me up so that i wouldn't be 15000 blocks away. Makes me wonder how the server would have gone without me. We ended up getting so tired from finding continuous villiages that every time we would find one we would just turn the other way. As you can probably imagine with all the people on the server they kept calling on my services to find villages, mansion, strongholds, ancient cities you name it. All of the various shops and buisnesses on the server weren't doing well because i was providing everyone with a free way to get access to whatever they needed. It speaks for itself that while they did invite me back for the revamp of the server they put specific guidelines in place tailored towards me and what I did. I theorize that i was the reason season 1 shut down. And why they put guidelines such as "one must find their own biomes and structures, they cannot have another do it for them" Gosh i miss that server.

Me and a few of my friends had been playing on a server for 3-ish months when one of them decided to invite their partner as well. We were ofc happy to do that, but then on their first day (this was their partner's idea but we agreed to do it so ig that doesnt matter) we decided to do a group mining session with the new player (us all already being kitted out in diamond) but in actuality we led them to an Ancient City and had them set their spawn. You can guess what ensued lmao. We thhought it was funny as an introductory prank but they were really upset (its all good now btw) 😭. We are used to pranking each other and never take it seriously so i didnt think too much of it but yeah... i didnt take into account that they barely knew us at that point and it was an a**hole move imo

It's not welcoming, and everyone experiences situations differently, but if it were me, when I were younger, I would probably continue to feel like I wasn't welcome there and I'd probably just put up with it since everyone else was OK with it. Not because I was okay with it.
I've had a couple boyfriends whose friends didn't like me from the start, and they would treat me really badly, usually disguising it as a joke, but it was never funny for me, just bad feeling. And that's what your story reminds me of.
AITA - my friend and I had been on a server for about half a year when he decided to build a fancy house, it required alot of quartz. So he goes and mines and mines, he talks about how long it is taking. So I make a trip to the nether and find where he has been mining to help him, and his tunnels were odd(x-ray like), but I let it slide because it was alot of quartz and I didn't want to reset 6ish months of my hard work. While mining he dies with all his quartz in his shulkerboxes to lava. Well a bit of time passes and I see hers built his house so I think that he recovered right. My mind wouldn't let it sit though because he had it done to soon after he died, so since he had told me how much quartz he needed I checked his his stats and ran the numbers, it was beyond obvious he didn't obtain the quartz required. We live near each other and hang out so it was easy to wait for him to leave and check. I was so angry because he had went behind my back. I then continued on to destroy all of his stuff, blow up his builds and chunk ban the area he logged out at. He begged me to forgive and unban the chunk but I never did, it broke a long running friend ship. However am I the Asshole

AITA for tearing down a friend's house after they moved into my front yard?
I was on an old SMP around 2020 with a couple online friends. When we started, I spent a really long time building up my house and my area. An old friend joined about a week after we had started the SMP, so at that point I had built a wall around my area to keep out mobs and to claim a bit of land for farms so I wasn't in anyone's way. When I logged in after they joined, I found a 4 by 4 box of granite right in the middle of my front yard, with a sign that said it was their "house". I dm'd them asking why they'd built in my area, and they said they just wanted a place to keep away from mobs while they got geared up. They asked if I was okay with them living in my yard, and I agreed to let them for the time being. About 3 weeks had passed, and they were very active on the server but never moved out. The box was replaced with a 10 by 10 box, nearly taking up my entire yard, and was built out of polished diorite I had gathered for my own build. (I know this because I confronted them about it, and they said they thought I wouldn't mind.) The entire outside of the box had torches on every. single. block. and they had even broken some of my farmland for space and built a strip mine out of a creeper hole they had made, so I was constantly falling in whenever I tried to leave my house. I asked multiple times if they could make their "house" smaller, or if they wanted me to help them build somewhere else and they brushed me off, saying they wouldn't stay much longer. After another 2 weeks, I got fed up and mined up the entire box and moved their chests and belongings outside of my area, filled in the strip mine and creeper hole, and used the diorite to finish my build. They dm'd me and confronted me about it, saying they were about to build their own area and I shouldn't have touched their stuff. I said they had been building in MY area and I had let them live there long enough. AITA?
Dunno if I'm too late to reply but nta. The way I judge a lot of these minecraft aita stories is "would this kind of thing happen on hernitcraft?" I could totally imagine mumbo building a tiny caravan next to grians megabase and "borrowing" resources but as soon as one of them says 'enough', that would be it. Players on an smp should respect each others projects and boundaries etc which your friend wasn't doing and they also weren't communicating with you clearly enough for their annoyance to be justified. They don't sound at all courteous or like they understand the basic etiquette players should show each other on an smp. I don't even understand why it was so imperative that they camp out in your front yard when a little bit of torch spam is enough to make even remote areas safe from hostile mobs.
I think the big thing that I totally forgot is if they didn't even ask your permission in the first place then that's not very respectful of them and they're the ahole. Video games are supposed to be fun, we don't play them to make ourselves miserable, so when we have friends who make playing on an smp miserable, I totally understand that actions have to be taken into your own hands, they should be grateful you didn't just tnt the place
Edit: I reread your comment and realised I missed that they'd asked if it was okay to live there temporarily. However, this was only after the first granite box was built and they weren't clear about time parameters at all
The only thing I can think of for AITA Minecraft is that I run a server for my friends, and they want to make a “wither sanctuary” and spawn like 30 withers, and I told them I’d have to be underground and away from main area to avoid lag and total destruction. They are still upset. I didn’t even say no.

Soo for context, I own a Minecraft realm Smp and yknow typical survival me and my friends were having fun.
So the drama starts when my friends agreed that they didn’t want me to invite one of our friends that griefs bases and x-rays a lot.
Long story short: That friend changed their username and skin to something completely different, and got one of my friends to get them invited
Soo now I figured this out when my friend slipped up about it, but I continued to pretend not to know and mess with them. Am I the A-hole for not banning them after realizing it and instead asking questions as they keep lying and lying about this person named Hope who doesn’t exist?

*Minecraft AITA For Rage Quitting?*
My friend and I were on this server and I tend to hoard a lot of things, so you can imagine how messy my storage chests were. This friend I have can't handle the Nether (too stressful) and the last trip we had together we barely made it out alive fighting Blazes. So one day, they wanted to go on some adventure (I think to the Nether I can't remember). During this time I was in the Nether gathering some building blocks (New Nether update, I was excited) which made me far from the portal to get back. My friend (in the call) started giving me a time limit to get back. I was trying to get back until I heard my friend say, "If you don't come back within __ minutes I will destroy your chests". I wasn't quick enough. By the time I got back, I see two double chests (that were filled to the brim) broken with stuff on the ground. I tried to grab chests and spam click the items back, but my friend kept destroying the other chests behind me. After seeing that more were broken, I just left the game and said I would never play with them again.
(P.S. - The stuff was never picked up. I know this because they DM'd me saying that my stuff was going to despawn if I didn't come back.)

I do have on AITA story that I feel bad about. There was one time on an smp where I was messing with my friend because I had a separate account I was watching their stream with while playing Minecraft. Everyone was in on it and it really through them off trying to figure out if it was just me or two sperate people. My friend panicked for a long time. Eventually I told them and apologized, along with giving them Minecraft materials they really wanted. We are still friends but I feel bad to this day for being so mean and confusing them so much.
My mom was a middle school teacher for 40+ years. She had a kid named Blaze, yes that was his real name and yes kids made fun of him, and he was mad at my mom for giving him after school detention because he threatened another kid in the class. So the next day he had his, actual crack head uncle, write my mom a letter stating not nice things about her and threatening our 2 outdoor cats with "disappearing".

Our group had a sever, and one of the friends were saying they were an amazing builder. However, when we went to look at it, it was a complete replica of one of grians builds. Not just that, but he had hacked in several illegal items. Soooo, we kinda blew his base sky high. He was pissed, and no one told him who did it. all he knew was that his base was gone and replaced with a sign saying property of grain. Were we the a-holes
Even Grian says to not fully copy his builds. Although, it still takes work to follow the Tutorial, and I’m pretty sure there’s nothing super wrong with obtaining illegal items unless they give you an advantage in riches or combat. Things like end portals, I think, are fine to glitch in.
Overall, I think that you’re slightly in the wrong, but it was still pretty harmless for a server.

AITA - Just to preface this, this was about now...3 or 4 years ago. Since that's the case I don't remember a ton of the details but I know that it was within my main group of friends (there were 4 of us in total.) We started up a good ol' Minecraft smp on my Realm from scratch and split off into two different groups. Me and my friend N being one group, and another group being C and F (names retracted for obvious reasons.) We had been playing for a good while and it was only N and myself online at the time. I took an adventure into the Nether and nearly immediately lost all my stuff in lava. Me and N agreed to back the server up, figuring it would be alright...and while we did get my things back we didn't tell the others until afterwards. They weren't mad that they lost progress more so than they were mad that I had said at the start that I wouldn't cheat (since I had a tendency to do so in the past when smps got boring) and they took the backup as blatant cheating and therefore me lying to them. I should also say that they thought that us splitting up was us being in competition with one another and the backup gave us an advantage as well (I never saw it as a competition.) That then started...quite a huge fight but I suppose the question remains as follows; am I the a**hole?
AITA - I play on an SMP with a bunch of friends. We're all experienced players so the worlds are always set on hard mode and we run it Hermit-style, so think crazy builds, sprawling cities, or massive autofarms. I mentioned to a friend that I'd only killed one warden so far since the update with them came out, and the next time I logged in there was a lever and a sign telling me to flick it once. I didn't and dug around instead, because that's, you know, suspicious AF. I had my dog with me, but I didn't sit him because I knew who'd written the sign and figured it would just be a secret room with some dispensers at best, but I fell down a long hole and instantly heard warden noises - I couldn't find the exit at the top of the hole even with my elytra and had no blocks on me, so both me and my dog got sonic boomed out of existence. I had almost no time to think of a way out since the warden pretty much one-hits you in hard mode. The friend who built it felt so bad and helped me get all my stuff back, as well as drowned the warden and showed me how it was supposed to work: the warden floated through a water stream cycle, bringing it into range of me for just long enough to get the blindness and heartbeat effects, but not get actually aggro'd before it fell out of range again. I wasn't supposed to die at all. AITA for still being a little upset that my dog died, even though he apologised a lot and the trap wasn't (meant to be) deadly? I don't care that I died at all, all my gear was recovered and I can get back levels easy peasy, it's just the dog lol.
I'd say you can't blame your friend since you chose to mess around with it and weren't careful not to fall. The friend put in a lot of effort to make it meaningful and safe, you just went off the expected path.
It's normal to feel upset your dog died, but not to push the blame on them instead of taking responsibility for risking it yourself.

I'm a person who loves my pets. I collect a lot of them, and i name them all. Dogs, cats, Axolotls, if its cute, I'll keep it.
On this server, the players were split into two teams, and my team decided to all live together in a giant mountain megabase. With all the redstone, mobs, and general height within the base, it started to get pretty laggy.
A friend of mine was known to complain about the lag. She had a pretty good pc, but hated that it would drop her down to 30 FPS in some spots. At one point she got caught killing some of the axolotls in the community pond to "Cut down on lag" but those ones werent mine. But then a ton of my dogs went missing.
I asked around in case anyone would admit to it, maybe it was a mistake, but nothing. The server owner checked the log, they were named, so the kill messages were logged. It shows up in the chat as that friend killing them. Like 10 of them.
They proceeded to backpedal and claim that their cousin was using their computer, but the server owner said that the timestamps on the killing happened while she was in discord VC with everyone.
She then backpedaled again and made a half-assed apology to me in the form of a minecraft book, then moved out if the megabase and never logged on again.
I would at least partially understand if it was really to fix the lag, but it was still just as bad after the pet murder. They're just minecraft pets but I get attached to them, and they were blatantly nametagged, and in a designated area so far down that they wouldnt even be causing lag up in the base.
I play on a creative world with my partner and we build cute things together. I love it but I also wish we could try to do other things like SMPs or mcci,even though I know it’s out of her comfort zone. AITA?
I don't think so - maybe you could try survival peaceful/easy mode and ease her into it. Or maybe you could play some of the variations without her.
You're not an a-hole for wanting more. I would suggest following the other suggestions, and either easing her into it or branching off on your own (talk to her about it)

Here's a little juicy story of Minecraft "am I the Ahole?" from my experience, or rather "who is the Ahole?" as it's not really about me but two friends... I played on a small private SMP server at the beginning of lockdown. I'm pretty experienced with Minecraft but the other players weren't. One day the server owner went mining for multiple play sessions during which time a friend set a TNT trap on his ladder back home. The friend, being fairly noobish didn't really understand the mechanics and wasn't good at redstone - essentially two TNTs went off at different times and the server owner died and his loot was destroyed.
Annoyed, he temporarily banned his friend citing his lost time and that friend was an Ahole who should have known better than to prank with TNT. Server owner told me how much he lost and I thought that it wasn't even that much, but as another noob mining was less time efficient for him so it felt like a lot to him. Server owner unbanned his friend the next day after getting over it, but friend didn't come back on because he felt bad. Server owner also reloaded a backup to recover some of his loot which also reset some building work I had done. He just did this without telling anyone but fortunately it wasn't much time I lost.
So who's the Ahole? Friend for pranking with TNT or server owner for overreacting, banning and reloading a backup?
At the time the perceived Ahole was definitely friend with TNT trap even though I thought server owner didn't react that great and undermined his moral high ground a bit.
But honestly, all I was concerned with was making sure they made up and both returned to the server because it was very uncommon for friends of mine to be at all interested in Minecraft and I didn't want the server of only five members to fall through so soon!
After the backup was reloaded, the guys called me, "the expert", in to diffuse the bomb which was also restored in the back up hahaha.

I can’t really think of any AITA moments, since I don’t really play on servers much, but I think I have one.
AITA for snatching items from people’s bases (and accidentally destroying some budding amethyst blocks)?
About a year ago (a few months after 1.17 came out), a few online friends started a survival Minecraft server, and they invited me and a bunch of others. It had the Origins mod (I was a Shulk). The Shulk has a sort of “emergency inventory”, in which the items in it don’t go away if you die. I wasn’t online much (had some irl stuff going on), but whenever I was I took to taking things from people’s chests (an iron ingot, some meat, an egg, copper, little things), and replacing them with flowers or with other people’s items. I’d store the stolen items in my emergency inventory, so no one ever knew it was me. I found it really funny at the time, because it left people very confused. Some people complained about it, but since nothing of major value was misplaced, it wasn’t a huge issue
The biggest problem arose when I entered a room in someone’s new base (previously an amethyst geode) and, seeing these floating amethyst blocks that looked very randomly placed, decided to rearrange them and put them in the ceiling, where they’d look nice. I think the placement bothered me, or something. What I didn’t know is that these were budding amethyst blocks, which cannot be picked up and just disappear when broken. I noticed I didn’t pick up anything after breaking 2 of the blocks, and sort of panicked. I ended up using the person’s amethyst shards (from a chest they had in the same room) and built 2 amethyst blocks from them, placing them back in their original spots and fleeing the scene. I didn’t tell anyone, which was a bad move on my part, and I don’t know what happened, because after that I didn’t log back in. The server was deleted about a month after, for other unrelated reasons. I never came clean.
I do feel bad about it, even if I didn’t know exactly what the blocks were.
Edit: my time perception is a mess, it’s been about 2 years since 1.17 came out.
AITA for killing my friends in game pets
Me and my flatmates had a LAN SMP. It run off my computer because i played on it a lot. I noticed that something was causing lag around spawn that would make my pc very sad so i invtergated. Turns out one of my flatmates had been breeding a lot of animals so there was a massive amount of mobs in their animal farm. So i killed them down to 2 of each mob. i put the drops in some chest. However, i didn't notice the name tagged animals mixed in with the other mobs and, as such, killed their pets. I didn't know i had done this until almost a week later when they logged on and came into my room very upset. i had killed their pets. I apologize and explained what i did and why. They asked me to go back to an old save so they could get their pets back. I said no because I'd been building in that time and probably spent a good 7 or 8 hours on my build in that time. They got pretty upset at me and stopped playing on the smp. I get i should have told them to kill some of there mods to stop lag rather then just doing it myself but i really didn't want to bug then as they had assignments due for university that week.

Do a block in minecraft like hyphae, conduit, paeonia, but i do think the best name is the wither, allay, strider, are all good ones. But besides those you could do the classic Rana is good for real names :/
There should be some things as legal unalivement, specifically for the situations when someone is forcing you to name your kid Notch...
my juicy drama: i once was playing MC on a public server and made friends with these two guys, probably teenage boys tbh meanwhile i was like 20, and it was fine until suddenly they stereotypically started getting weird about "simping" and jealousy and i was like. okay I'm done, I just wanted to play Minecraft and have fun, so i went away and made new friends. One of the boys was Not taking rejection lightly as usual and he repeatedly tried to TP kill me but i was too quick on the /back. i reported him to a mod and it got taken care of but before it was over, he was threatening to blow up his build. He made some really beautiful builds and i was like "you said you were leaving the server so just leave. i like the builds so just walk away." of course he was like nooo so he covered it in TNT and while he was threatening i asked in the discord chat if there was any way for me to protect someone else's build from themself. alas, there is not, as i figured. he blew it up. also while i was hanging out with the new friend, who had some gorgeous builds and several enormous fields of crops, the teenager teleported to me (or maybe he just found me idk i cant remember) and actually started griefing the guy's crops (you have a finite number of blocks you can claim and with it being so large, it wasn't protected.) so that was another check on the ban hammer. rip. he even left me a threatening sign at one point in the beginning on my old house near his that was like "no matter where you go, i will find you. we can do this the easy way or the hard way." lmfao

Aita for blowing up a thief’s camp
So a little background me and my friend started a little minecraft realm where people could invite others and one of the people that got invited was someone named doc. Doc was probably the shadiest player on the server and one day all my valuables and items that i cared about disappeared (i had a little starter camp thinking no one would take them cause that’s normally how small servers go for me). So after asking around me and my friend found out it was doc and i tried finding his camp it took about a hour of searching and majority of what was stolen was found (i knew it was my stuff because of goathorns) so we stole everything back then we blew up everything else as revenge and we left a sign with our discord names but our discord names arent the same as our minecraft names so he thought it was another person and blew up their castle. We never were caught and the server is now down but all i ask is aita?
You're not an asshole for retaliating against someone who did something to you first. And you aren't responsible for what that person does in the future to other people (though it's not unreasonable to feel bad empathetically).

Me and my friend (who we will call M for this) were on our SMP and for some reason one day we decided to start pranking people. The first thing we did was flood someone’s house (as well as turn their floor into a cake floor.) This started our secret organization that I believe we named chaos in a different language. (Latin maybe?) anyways none of the other SMP members really knew what was happening. We would do little pranks and then leave signs with our organization name on it, claiming the deed as ours. We even went as far as to do it to ourselves so that people wouldn’t suspect us. One day M decided to steal a cat from one of the SMP members. Now this member, L, was one of our favorite people to torment. She happened to be very easy to prank and she would get really easily confused. I’m not exactly sure what happened to the cat that day, because I was not involved in the catnapping. All I know was that it somehow ended up in a hole somewhere underneath spawn. L was incredibly, incredibly upset about her stolen cat. She started accusing people of being one of the secret organization members. M and I didn’t want to get caught, so we decided to blame it on one of the other members of the server, A. A had absolutely nothing to do with any of the situation. L unfortunately was not entirely convinced, so we ended up going to court. I was M’s lawyer and A was L’s lawyer. We had a different player come in to be the judge. I managed to convince L (and the judge) that M was not the one who took the cat (even though most of the evidence pointed towards her.) I managed to convince L that A was the secret organization member who did it. Unfortunately right after the trial was over, M decided to blow up the courthouse. We also then decided to reveal to A our secret organization headquarters and told her that we were the ones behind everything the whole time. M had largely been suspected of the chaos, but I had flown mostly under the radar. Anyways, AITA for helping my friend to frame someone for stealing someone else’s cat as well as committing many crimes on the server?

AITA for calling my friend out for cheating?
So few years ago when dream manhunts were really popular, me and my friends decided to try it. Like one person trying to beat the game while rest 3 of us chased them. The only problem... We sucked at it. We all took turns being the person others wouod hunt but non of us even got close to beating it. Most of the time we would just lose the person and would have no means to find them and the person dies on their own while trying to beat it. Context, none of us has ever beat the game yet so we changed a few rules. The person would win instantly if they found diamonds, also the person being chased must tell their either their x or z coordinate every 5 minutes without telling which coordinate they told. We also had a rule thst the person being hunted must not be the owner of the server. We all started trying this and still no one could do it.
Now after a few daya this guy, let's call him Fz suggested we try doing the manhunt thingy again and all of us hunting him. We all agreed but, first thing that was suspicious was that he was the one who created the world when someone else was supposed to do it for him. Secondly, steaight up knew exactly where the diamonds were and third they were not on the 11 or 10th level. It was something like 15.
I called him out for this and he said that i was jealous that he's the first one to finish this challenge and also asked for proof and i told him that the diamonds are found on 11, and he lies saying he found it on 11 and Fz went on about how this game was legit when it ended in like 10 minutes. I know searching ofr diamonds isn't that hard but afor a person to go from 2 hours and failing to 10 minutes IS suspicious. Also said i had no clear reason blaming him. Aita for calling him out when he clearly cheated?
No, call out everyone.
People are insecure and will try to make you feel bad for calling out their flaws, but you don't deserve that. Even if you end up being wrong about something, don't let people discourage you from questioning things.

AITA? I kept fighting the dragon alone or with a limited group of people, it was just taking too long, this group and I kept making new SMPs and I got better and better on each one-- on the first one, it took us a few weeks to beat the dragon, on the newer ones, it was taking me a day to get maxed stuff and beat the dragon-- the owner got really angry with me when I defeated the dragon alone and on the second day one time. (The worst part is that most people on there were streaming it)
Usually servers have a rule for when and who can kill the dragon. If there's no rule, you didn't do anything wrong. If you heard of people hoping to stream the dragon and went ahead alone anyway , yeah, that's insensitive.

I have a theory that the last story was actually written by an older sibling (my guess is 16 years old and they just added 20 years to their age). I have a hard time believing a 36 year old father would have the time, will, and gall to edit together a video to cement his lie, keep up the lie for several months, continues lying despite knowing their child is in anguish, has the self-awareness to know what he's doing is wrong but can't help himself, then seemingly bragging to others by making this post. I don't think OP has friends with whom they can share their wrongdoings with and decided to make this post just cause they can't contain themselves.
I have heard that a lot of these AITAs are made up shit, but I wouldn't underestimate the prevalence of bad parenting. People are failing to grow up in great number. Power makes many grown-ups do really, really bad things. See: World leaders, government, people in any position of power whatsoever.... grown adults harm others all the time and force people to harm eachother.

AITA - I get mad at the founder of a player village, and he blows up my home for it.
So, I started in this server around a month ago, Made a few online friends there, around half a month ago, I join this player village, filled with players. I live beside this one player, one of the founders. I move in with my colorful tent, right behind his bee hive tree. I give him a free banner, (my job is a banner maker btw.) Since I just moved into the village, the same as the rest of the players living there that I find online. A day later, I'm making a new business called Never Ending Errands, where I always get paid for certain tasks I need help with, such as getting dye. Around half a week later, I find claims around my home, also, if you don't live on a server with claims, (which you probably do) Basically, They keep players from building in certain spots. But on this SMP, they keep you from moving into the claims without permission. So I'm stuck there because this dude put claims around my tent. Later, the other founder logs in, seeing me in this situation, he gets the other founder to do /trust, which lets me walk on their claim. later, He blows up his claim, blowing up mine. So I'm having to rebuild my entire tent, and move into my old house, which is just mine! Am I the Asshole?
AITA for taking my teammates stuff and throwing it into the void?
this happened years ago...as in, during middleschool while I'm now in college. But I digress--I was playing bedwars with an IRL friend in the summer. The friend used a fireball to make me fall into the void on the way back from middle, when I had a good amount of emeralds and diamonds on me. I was mad, but in a jokingish way, and took all the stuff we had in our chest and jumped off the edge on purpose as revenge (though I thought it was funny). The friend who hit me off got super mad at me and left the game, didn't talk to me for the rest of the summer. When we got back to school, he was never the same and I'm told by mutual friends he never liked me after that. I never thought it was that serious and was under the impression that if he could screw me over, I could screw them over, and it was all a joke. Am I The Asshole for being petty?

My friends sister was having a birthday party and invited me and our other 2 friends over. The mom (who is the owner of the server me and my friends are on) spiked the punch. I got achole poision from it and i told my mom about the punch. She wasnt able to get in any trouble and proceed to put the blame on me (which people believed). I was mad at her so i hunted down her base and blew up all her hard work and everything she did on sever then left. I still get messages from her daughter complaining about h9w much damage ive caused her mom... so the real question is, am i the asswhole?

This is not an amtb but one day back during close beta i was on mcc island and the decided to play sky battle for the first time, i went there and saw two guys in chat making rude offensive comments to women. As a woman myself, i got really upset by this and said they were being rude and stuff. They didnt give two shits so i just kinda left the lobby, to this day i dont really play sky battle, for different reasons but even more so after that.

AITA for telling my aunt that her parenting is just shit and not minecraft? So apparently her 5 year old son got a knife and tried stabbing his dad, saying "die die" whilst doing it. And my aunt of course justifies that by telling everyone that it is because of minecraft. She banned everything minecraft related in the house and even tells other parents to not let their kids play or watch videos related to minecraft. I at the time was building houses with my nephew (not her son) when she went balistic about how minecraft is bad influence and should never be played. I told her that we were just building houses and there are youtubers that are good, do not curse and just builds stuff. She kept shouting at us so I told her that its her fault that it happened because she cant control her child, cant even teach him about knives and just shit at parenting. I apologize to her right after but shes still mad at me for that. I just dont care anymore.
Am I the butthole for exploiting a server bug to get Dimond gear when crafting it is disabled?
so a few days ago, i got invited to join a minecraft smp, with a bunch of random creators that were much smaller then I am, and the owner of the smp made is so that you can't craft anything with diamonds not even a JUKEBOX! Also the nether was closed. His reasoning was that he doesn't want people to get op stuff like diamond or netherite armor on the first day. which is fair and understandable. So me and my friend just casually played on the server and then happened to come across a village. That's when we realized
"hang on a sec we could get Dimond armor and tools from villagers" we knew that craft anything with diamonds was disabled and we had a feeling that the owner had also disabled enchanted diamond armor/ tools trades but we wanted to try it anyways. So we spent a few hours trying to trap villagers and get their jobs set up and ready and then we logged off for the day. But the next day when I came back, I had found out that another member from the smp got banned a week or 2 ago for getting diamond armor/ tools from villager trades. Which made my friend lose faith in getting diamond gear from villagers as for sure the owner would have patched that up and made it impossible for us to get Dimond gear from villager. Right?

A few hours went by and we unlocked the Dimond gear trades and were able to get the Dimond gear from villagers, ofc we got it when no one was online to avoid getting insta banned as you get the Dimond armor achievement in chat. So the next day, after getting out Dimond gear, we didn't really know what to do. So my friend and I decided to create a little skit with another member were we mug them, and surprise them with our diamond gear (kill them) and they were ok with that. We proceeded as planned and after we had killed the member in our skit instantly the owner joined the server (he was watching the person dying's stream) and proceeded take away our diamond gear and talk to us like children saying
"why did you get diamond gear your not meant to have it." etc etc (side note my friend and I are 19 and the owner is like 20 - 21) I tried to reason with him and explain saying
"hey if there is a way to get it what's wrong with getting it, you didn't disable it from villagers hence I didn't do anything wrong" he didn't like that reasoning and proceeds to ban my friend and I.
