But has given a reliable engine, handling and comfort which is a core for any car. Would be better if Honda improves noise insulation inside cabin and provides 360 cam. Yes the Elevate provides decent handling. We cannot compare petrol engines with diesels. We are diesel heads and never mind the sound of a diesel engine but people compare it with today’s competitors. There is a slight wind noise seeping inside which can be easily masked with a bit of music but it is a concern. As for why Honda should bring a hybrid, they already have a beautiful hybrid unit that is far superior to the competition, the one we saw on the City e:HEV. The competition is selling around 5,000 hybrid units per month. If the Elevate had a hybrid option, it could have boosted sales by at least 1,000 units. Adding a few features like ventilated seats, a 360-degree camera and a better infotainment system would have made the product more desirable. We have spoken with Honda fans who ditched the Elevate solely because it lacks a hybrid option. People were expecting it. About the engine, yes it is the best in the 1.5L naturally aspirated category. But you should remember how many units Honda used to sell before and how much their numbers have fallen. The Amaze used to sell 7000-10000 units per month and City used to sell over 3500 units. Their sales have declined significantly over the years while newer competitors have overtaken them. Combining the Creta and Seltos, both together sell around 11000 diesel cars per month. If Honda had introduced an Elevate hybrid, it could have converted some of those diesel buyers as well. @@ontheway2463class leading mileage and reliable,
Main thing is it does not have dpf issue like modern cars have
Oru setha pamba poi adikarengale sir... Honda game over already and soon exit India
Honda has no commitment towards India and does not bring any technology, same old 1.5 or 1.2 vtec... Hopeless company and management
I differ in that
Creta sells 18k
But we struggle to sell the turbo
Next we still have diesel 24 models in stock
So the prime seller is 1.5 NA ,
So for a elevate volume, doing a turbo or a hybrid is not justified
Last month hyryder has done only 4900 units
Can we say all a fully hybrids in that ?
We know hyryder / vitara combined the trump card is that suzukis mild hybrid
Still creta sold 18k units , but the maximum seller is 1.5 NA only
So our market is a unique market sometimes which cant be explained
@@raveendhana7084How does honda differentiate from its rivals .
@@devananth6285 1 as for elevate 1.5 Na
Its a well sorted car in terms of highway dynamics does 80 percent of taigun in highways
2 the engine is the best NA of it's segment in terms of performance, pulls effortlessly at 60kmph at 6th gear , you will get power till 7000rpm
But a bit less mileage but 16 on highways am ok with that
3 covers all the basic features in the second base variant itself , with push button or auto climate which even creta EX won't give you
So elevate is a functional car trying to get all box ticked
Asir bro says they miss 360 or ventilated seats but even creta gives you that only in sx option which might cost you a bomb at 24 lakhs
So vitara for mileage , creta for so called features but a city friendly steering car ,
Taigun is a better handler than elevate but at 15 -17 lakhs you only get a three cylinder turbo
So as I said elevate is a functional car doing only 2k units per month , not for India who is a feature driven market
@@devananth6285 elevate tries to tick all the boxes and almost succeeds
Give you one of the best handling cars in highways of its segment , stable at 140 too , can't match the Germans but better than vitara or creta
Engine is best of the NAs , pulls effortlessly at 60kmph at 6th gear , with a bit less mileage
But 16 at 90 - 110 is ok for me
V mt will give you all the basic features, albeit you get 360 and ventilated in creta only in sx option top end variant , so its your choice
It's a pretty functional car, where our market is more about features

No it's so small inside
Honda is the next Ford, they may close their business in a couple of years.
They are saying this for years , Ford was dependant on ecosport only but Honda three models are consistent in their sales so it keeps them going
Atleast Elevate EV yaavathu nalla vitaanga ok illa na mothathyum close pantu pogavendiyathu thaan 😂
Eppudi bro solreenga , they steadily sell 2k units every month thats great for their market share plus ev will come soon
@raveendhana7084 Ivangaluku bike market thaa nalla iruku bro, car la yr ku 1 model thaa vidraanga atleast 2 models vita vathu nalla irukum . Oru hatchback and subcompact SUV must needed to sustain their market bro
@@samsilasi9649 honda is a profit focused brand and not volume based ,
Regarding why elevate does not sell more is because they focus more about function and drivability than features
I own a elevate too but i sell hyundai cars 😁
I could have bought creta but i didnt 😁
@@samsilasi9649 they are doing 2k every month
@@samsilasi9649 they already had small cars but people didn't buy
What about safety rating? 😂 2 star platform gncap😂😂
4 or 5.... if only honda send to gncap...
Honda City platform idhu city 5 star asean n cap so idhum 5 star ku chance iruku
And I think you are referring to amaze which got 2 , but still amaze was rated stable at crash , the issue was 6 air bags was not standard when it was tested and esp not standard etc .
@@raveendhana7084 truee
Too much cost cutting from Honda, mileage also low.
Mileage is on par with a 1.5 NA of its segment , and i dont consider suzuki 1.5 NA as its underpowered for the car it poweres
@raveendhana7084 😀 suzuki sells 10000 consistently every month
@@pkscorpion1433 thats because there is a market for mileage focused people
So out of the 1.5 NA and a 1.5 fully hybrid
The 1.5 NA sells more in that vitara because mileage focused people buys it more
And creta is associated with more features but still we sell the 1.5 NAs more than the turbos and a creta did 18k unites last month and gives less mileage than a vitara powered by 1.5 NA mild hybrid so creta sells more in the name of features
As for elevate , its a good handling functional car with less features
India la there are less takers for a functional car or a handling car
So doing 1500 - 2500 units every month is a win for honda
@@raveendhana7084And to be precise Elevate is perfectly priced and more VFM for a CVT and creta is much pricier for a CVT.
@@raveendhana7084 1500-2500 is a win for Honda... wow. Soon they close their operations. Wait and see
