I almost feel that Nick ruining that "touching moment' at the beginning of the trailer was supposed to be a direct jab at Dead Island's "emotional" trailer. Also I'm not gonna lie. I'm more excited for this than I was. Also guys in the chat, Nick is NOT a generic brunette action man. First off he doesn't have stubble or facial hair of any kind. Second, he's Hispanic. That's not much I know, but I feel like that's more variety than we've been getting with game heroes.

Yes, because Capcom doesn't go back on its word about making a game exclusive and solely for one system only. Just like Resident Evil 4. They said it would only be for the Gamecube and it was.

DR isn't a goofy game. yea u wear whatever u find, u can kill zombies with anything u want, the sets were rather colorful but thats where the goofiness ends. the places ur at in the game were just after the zombie outbreak. mall r colorful and inviting, casinos r bright and vibrant. this town looks like it's been infected for weeks. people r focusing on the wrong aspects of the game, my aunt wanted to buy DR for her 4 yo daughter because of how colorful it was. i think they made the right choice
People said that about the Xbox 360 and it's still around 76 million sold just 1million behind Sony and still selling.

Hey i got titanfall on Xbox 360 and was playing for a long time tho but anyway it really doesn't matter because this was from 2013 so a lot can happen in 3 years.
The difference is Microsoft is DR3's publisher. They are footing the bill. That wasn't the case with the Capcom 5 nor was it the case with DR 1 or 2.
I get what you are saying about that contrast between grim stuff and humour and I agree. Funny things in games happen usually when you are expected to play it straight. Being an a**hole in a game about being an a**hole is not all that fun (see, Saints row 3). Being a a**hole in a game that expects respect - now thats fun.

As an fps player, I dont play this game for the guns but to kill zombies with anything i want, like a chair, a bowling ball and most importantly toys that becomes deadly weapons, I hope the emphasis of this game is still on that, it's what makes this franchise original, not being "too" powerfull.
The real question is, who will wear the banana hammock during Dead Rising 3 is awesome?
A little different. Nintendo didn't pay to get RE4 made. MS is the publisher for DR3. This wasn't the case for DR1 or 2 nor is it the case for other popular Capcom titles. Generally Capcom will publish their own titles. Obviously to retain exclusivity MS offered to pay the bill. Same thing Nintendo's doing with Bayonetta 2.
And you know what sells more than the Dead Rising series? Every other zombie game out there. Guess what the stock holders wanted out of the next Dead Rising then...

This is going to be one of those games where people complain and whine about the trailer. It's tiresome, the trailers really don't look awful and you don't get the full experience of the game till you get to control the character. Plus it's possible that they put filters in the trailer only.
