For me this is the best version, I actually always had this version and thought it was the original version. The amazing bass, drums and that sexy sax makes this a superior version. The album one seems a little emptier on the instrumental side(which makes this one so good)
they used to play this version on a radio station in Peru (Radio Magica) around 2003, my mom listened to that station all the time. This version is way better than the original. I love the saxophone part. And this is the first song that comes to mind when someone tells me II V I progression.
When my uncle listened to this version, we agreed that it's even better than the studio version. More beautiful jazz then, but now M5 is for teenagers.
Benjamin Arce Fajardo wasn’t it for teenagers back then too ? Lmao I mean this album came out like in what ? 2005 and they were an alternative band coming up
I like this version so much better. Why isn't this version on Songs About Jane? It's so good! I love it so much especially the sax part and the piano solo
@@realkarasflowers before that it was a version that was distributed to radio stations before "Songs About Jane" was released to capitalize on their underground popularity. The album version soon replaced it, but for a lot of people, this was their first exposure to Maroon 5
This is by far a better version.

Me too, they played this on the radio a couple of times before I heard the album version of Sunday morning
WHY DIDNT THEY KEEP THE SAX MAN THIS VERSION MELTS MY HEART EVERYTIME
HeavyDirtySoulz The "Sax Man" is Jesse ;)
Everything Kara's Flowers I meant the sax, man. Like they should of kept the solo it's amazing
HeavyDirtySoulz they always cut out the dope ass solos. Why?!?!
THAT SAX SOLO HAS ALWAYS KILLED MY HEART, MAN!
This version is noticeably better than the version of the album. And the version of the album has always my favorite Marron 5 song !
I agree with Both points

It came out in 2002 and it was directed towards a young adult audience (20 somethings)
@@kamisensei1616 lol songs abt jane came out in 04.the songs are from 2003 , and the demos frm 02 .
This is the best version for me..
csr csrtwo everyone agrees this is the superior version. Sound raw and nice.
Agreed
I feel like the piano and whole instrumental is far superior in this version, hearing that sax come in always gives me goosebumps
The drum is amazing in this song
If don't tell me drummer is Matt, i think it's Ringo!
I'm glad I came across this video. It's always good to hear the song first produced as a demo and compare it to the remastered version
Can’t believe they would downgrade this for the album version
It's so funny, I actually heard this version first and thought it was the original. So when I heard the other version, I was so confused lol
LOL
Me too, they always played it on the radio lol
Same here. And I was playing it w a band and couldn't understand why they dumbed it down....they looked at me like i was crazy. I love this version

테드옹 you mean the album released version? This is the original version

Love the saxophone part
Am I the only one that hears the ICQ chat notification "pop" @ 1:35? Yes I'm old.
The vocal harmonies should've been used in the mixed version
M.I.K.E ™️ they were
I think no one in youtube cover this demo
where the heck did u get this?
In 2012 Maroon 5 released an special anniversary edition of SAJ which included all these demos plus other unreleased songs.
Greetings from Lima, Peru. This version has more beautiful jazz.
