I know what you're trying to say. That Gon and Killua's friendship is so precious and all people should aspire to have smth like that. But just wanna say that the real mvp in this relationship was clearly Killua. Yeah Gon helped him get away from the darkness of his family but that was in the beginning. After that everything that Killua had to go through to develop as a character was by his own realisation and struggles. Gon has been since the beginning a selfish individual who doesn't care about anything and anyone but his goal. Not saying he doesn't love his friends/ family but his own ambition on whatever he sets out to do is above everything else and this was proved so many times in the story. Whereas Killua had saved and helped Gon numerous times. So imo all of us should find someone like Killua and show them love and the respect they deserve.

@@Accelator7tbh I find Killua way too perfect it’s unrealistic, he’s so mature, smart, powerful, calm and loving with basically no flaws. Gon really trusted him when he had self doubts and brought a lot of hope and positive energy to his life.
This was one of the saddest scenes in the show
in the manga it isn't depicted as a sad farewell at all. i believe Togashi did NOT mean it to be a big deal. Gon and Killua is for forever. it's just them going on their own journey for a while. it's like friends parting for the summer. the anime made it out to be so damn melancholic ....

come on the manga is still going. in 10 years maybe there will be more episodes for the anime. .
At first Killua are go with Gon cuz he have no purpose what to do and help him to find his dad, but right now Killua have already purpose and Gon already find Ging.
I hope Togashi have a good health and continue to write this masterpiece mostly the dark continent arc and I hope we can see more Gon and Killua, mostly when they become Adult cuz we're know this two kid have a lot potential and they will become a monster in the future.

this is my fav manga and anime of all time. Then introduced my ex gf to this gem back in 2014 to her and to my surprise (she wasnt a weeb) she loved it! I only recommended her episode 126 and 131 because I never thought she would like it enough to watch so many episodes. But she ended up getting awed by both episodes she started from scratch. She has great taste. We met in 2012 in a movie theater when both of our friend's group mixed.
This was a traidition every year, we lasted 9 years of relationship and more than a decade of being best friends and each other confidants. We always initiated in December so we in January we had finished the whole anime.
At the mid of December she broke the news she didn't consider us a couple anymore. We still kept sharing the bed for almost 90 days more which was conflicting AF, but she didn't change the plans of us moving to another bigger apartment (we lived with her siblings too at the moment) just the two of us as roomies.
In January she said she had met another dude online and having this LDR, so the plans to even be besties and roomies was dead and gone. She wanted to move alone soon. This was soul crushing I cannot even describe it.
Safe to say we both said watching HxH that year was impossible, as this scene of both besties saying goodbye is too sad even in normal circunstamces. Now it would be so depressing.
It was sad in November 9th 2022 saying the farewell to her, the last hug, both our eyes expressing sadness as we looked each other for the last time as the elevator doors closed and now we couldn't have a view of each other.
It felt bleak and sad beyond anything I've ever experienced in my life. I went back my homeland as we both moved to another country back in 2018.
Looking at HxH reactions feels weird, and now when this scene pops up my grief come backs to haunt me, as everything that we watched, listened, visited or did together triggers it. Which is certainly a myriads of things as in a decade we did so much things together...
Anyways sorry for this sad piece, this is my only way to get it out of my chest in my current circumstances. Love is no joke. Its flying close to the flame and it always ends in sadness, eventually. She was my first, I was his first too and she's been my only. I don't think I'm ready to date anyone anytime soon.
But its survivable. Really painful beyond words but yeah a day at a time, a breath at a time even in some moments. But its not the end of the world for both of us.
My takeway is that we cultivated TOO MUCH intimacy that we didn't knew that eventually it developed into something called a codependency style of relationship. My advice for anyone reading this and for my future self is to not repeat this pattern with any future partner ever again. It's corrosive eventually even if you are both perfect to each other (which sounds contradictory but believe me it is not!), this behaviour will ruin things eventually and it takes work but it can be corrected. We could have done so if we had catched it earlier. When it festers years in its so insidious...

Best of luck to you!! Focus on improving and loving urself, then trust ur instincts and feelings, and trust the process. I think the reason why Killua and Gon separated is cuz they complement each other’s weaknesses, thus sometimes rely on each other to solve problems, this slows down their self growth and responsibilities. Being separated also makes room for only focusing on improving urself and solving problems by urself, cuz there’s no convenient help of a friend nearby.
Codependency...that's a word I haven't heard since Oregairu. Unfortunately I still don't know what it really means or how to look out for its signs so a few examples would be really helpful. Besides that, I'm thankful to you for writing such a heartfelt comment and glad that you didn't let that event consume you. I hope you're doing even better now and taking strides in life. Please keep loving HxH.

yeah and the pro Hunters letting two kids trying to fight Pitou is sociopathic. they know it's suicide and they still let the kids go. that's some irresponsible adults. . no matter what, Gon is still a kid. he acts like a kid. anyway.... the adults of HxH all sucks. but that's intentional for sure. HxH is lectures upon lectures on how to be and NOT to be all kind of things in life.

@@lilveltheplayer2164 Even if he is, hes wrong still lol. They are still friends. Too many people think in the way of a 5 yr old where if we dont hang out every single day we suddenly are not friends anymore. While admittedly they are like 13 or some shit Gon and Killua have shown the entire journey of friendship. Highs, lows, tragedy, in fighting, moving away, victory, defeat and now they have reached the state where due to life you cant just always be together anymore. Their friendship isnt broken, it only looks that way because they are children. If they were 30yr old men saying goodbye to go back to their lives no one would be like "Welp there goes that friendship"
