Yep, I will be there. Some things I wish to see... 1) Installing relays - both A/C and DC. 2) DC power system for my laptop (ditch the A/C charger) 3) Rasberry Pi computer usage 4) Minimal space build techniques 5) EV charging? 6) Excess solar usage and switching 7) Tank depth sensors, temperature sensors, pressure sensors, incorporating and acting upon sensors basically. What am I doing? I am building an off grid greenhouse electrical system this spring. My van build is waiting in the wings. We camp in a primitive cargo van with a goal zero.
Thanks for the class/lesson ideas! Would love to help with your greenhouse project this spring!
Hmm, pi. That would be fun to explore and automate it all
Awesome! I'll be there!. Thanks!
Right on!
Hmm, amazing. If I do find a van by then( big if) Id hope to have the aystem in. Your sote and experience is awesome.
Such a great oppurtunity for someone
Just bought my ticket and applied for a VIP spot!! So freaking cool! Can’t wait!!
Isn't the ICS format great in that it can be applied to almost every circumstance. I see the need for, and implementation of, a joint command, and OPs, logistics, finance, and safety just to name a few. Great work!!
I try to use my actual degree any time I can. 😂
👍
"Cost of a system ranges from $3k to $15k" Will the 12 VIP builders be responsible for these costs?
Yes - just the same as if you were buying the system and installing it yourself at your house, just you'll be part of the event and have expert guidance/help and the installation would start on Thursday and be 100% complete by Sunday.
@@EXPLORISTlife Thanks for the reply, I have acquired 75% of my components and unfortunately only a handful came from you guys. (All Victron components, Renogy panels, Redodo batteries) Nothing installed yet.
Ah, gotcha. Well, go ahead and fill out the application if you like and just let us know in the application if you're willing to return what you bought elsewhere.
And as a side note: I'm always looking for feedback on how you ended up purchasing all of your equipment from competitors instead of coming to us:
1: If you bought before you found us - how did you determine who to buy from?
2: If you bought AFTER you found us - what could we have done better to earn your business?
@@EXPLORISTlife That's a valid question and I'll be happy to answer. I started purchasing nearly a year ago, prior to the discovery of your channel and store.
I basically surfed the internet looking for "good" prices; a major influence was my credit card offering rebates with select merchants. I bought my MultiPlus and received 10% cash back through my credit card which is significant. The Renogy solar panels were an Amazon black Friday deal I couldn't pass up. I went with Redodo batteries given the cost and high reviews from TH-cam contributors. I'm sure Battleborn batteries would greatly outperform the Redodo but I can't justify a Maserati on a Chevy budget. I prefer to spend more on quality components (Victron) and less on the batteries. Rest assured I will NOT skip on vital components such as wire or fuses.
I have viewed your video "Where to find the lowest prices on Victron" which has greatly influenced my buying habits and everything thereafter has come from you. I truly value your knowledge and support which will be crucial as I embark on this build. As for now I have a stack of components and I'm waiting for the long Wisconsin winter to end. I'm on the fence whether to return components (if I can) or keep them as they were purchased from reputable suppliers.
At the end of the day my goal is to build a quality system without breaking the bank. I'm retiring in 2 months after a long career in industrial controls & automation so I'm comfortable with the build. I plan on boondocking 50% of the year with my first major trip being your DIY Solar Summit in September! I am super excited to visit Colorado and collaborate with fellow enthusiasts during the event.
Thank you for the opportunity to provide feedback. If you wish to reach out to me further I'm sure you can find me in your customer records.
Fuck yeah! Appreciate the inclusive language as well
