Also the Valstrax DB and its set, which are ridiculously easy to get, have more than enough slots for handicraft (+1), minds eye, and razor sharp with a good talisman. With some evade window for good measure. And I still do more damage properly exploiting elemental weaknesses on other monsters with different sets. Affinity shouldn’t matter too much as long as you’re aiming for the head (Daora’s soul exists). After cutting the tail of course. Edit: I forgot to mention I also fit dragon +5 on it

I've just picked up the swaxe in Rise and I love it. All the style points of the greatsword with the fluidity of the longsword and the survival instincts of a spider invading my house. My favorite thing to do is build up meter (thanks for the instant-fill silkbind, Capcom!), Zero Sum, Soaring Wyvern Blade, and then immediately Zero Sum again.
"Charge Blade's complexity is only surface-deep" Yeah... I mean, it seems like there's a lot to manage, but just... attack, attack, phial charge, attack, attack, shield charge, attack, attack, phial charge, sword charge, shield bash, SAED. Done.

something i noticed is one of my palicoes sometimes mentions getting 30% for things. i just assume what you get paid in quests is after that 30 cut is taken automatically. also you expend the villages internal currency when sending them out for trading/meowcenary hunts, i assumed that is part their pay.
As a GL main I want more power to my gun! Why does endgame have slaplance better than gun? Hell, why does my paralysis set do comparable damage to normal? WHY NERF LONG SHELLS SO HARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??????????????? OTOH Recovering sharpness while guarding spoiled me too much.
I agree with everything about chargeblade, greatsword, dual blades, and switch axe. I have actually recently switched my main from chargeblade to greatsword, but i still have that honey badger pocket for pubs.

I joined 3 party’s filled (along with myself) with only gunlance users, I don’t think I’ve once joined a group with more then one longsword in rise, however, the bullcrap of dealing with a longsword user and DD user as a gunlance user is… large, mainly because both can nearly instantly drain your stamina

16:50 I myself are a light Bowgun User & Monster Hunter Rise is my second Monster Hunter Game I got (my first was Monster Hunter Stories 1 and currently newest is Monster Hunter Stories 2) so I dont have as much experience and knowledge then those who are in the Monster Hunter community for a VERY long time but everytime i see the target monster sleep i use those little 3 landmines or whatever theyr called and place them around the monster and just hope that my teammates dont wake up the monster while I'm still doing my thing . Another thing that personaly is annoyng to me is that takes max of how many free heal juice wich then would only leave 1 more person to take the last 2 remaining . Now if its agains a weak monster , or a monster wich movements are slow or somewhat predictable I don't mind . What I do mind tho is if your fighting a boss monster or in general the monsters that are harder to beat and someone takes all the heal juice . Another annoying thing is that if the hunt mission you take or if you and your team all agreed to capture the monster and whe get our few traps , the person wiht the LEAST amount of experience or ect. takes it and uses them ALL TO SOON ! If you use traps you should clearly only then use them when the monster starts to run away and is obviosly limping since traps only work when the monster is greatly weakened .
This is the only (mostly) Warframe focused channel that I still watch, I've played Warframe sense the first day of release. But ever sense rail jack was released, I've gotten completely sick and tired of DE and can not enjoy the game anymore, even when doing dumbshit and playing with friends. I still find myself not taking any enjoyment in it. Though, this channel still always makes me smile and laugh. Thanks for the amazing content trib, the waiting is worth it.

The sheer level of bullshit you can achieve in monster hunter games really just can't be beat. The best time I've had was in MH:world In the wildspire wastes there was a rathian fighting a baroth, my dumb ass decided the best decision was to join in to take them both down. Part of the way into the fight a bazelgeuse decided to do the same. So now it was me, a rathian, a baroth, and a bazelgeuse scrapping it out in knee deep water. Obviously the baroth was the first to go down, then the bazelgeuse knocked around the rathian while I was chipping away at both of them. I started going after the bazelgeuse more as things went on because they are more likely to run immediately when they get low on health. The rathian got down to low health right as the b-52 was doing a line of bombs over him, so I used that opportunity to cut its tail and finish him off but I actually got a little lucky too. The bazelgeuse had also come up to attack me right as I was taking the last few swings on the rathian so I ended up breaking his tail at the same time. Needless to say fighting a bazelgeuse by itself is a lot easier than what I started out with, he went down pretty quickly after the rathian was done. I've been trying to find another fight that will match that clusterfuck ever since. Sadly I don't think I'll ever come across one as fun as that was. Games that allow things to be so completely stupid that it sounds impossible to actually succeed always end up having the best experience when you actually do come out on top.
Given monsters basically rule the monster hunter world overall and ended the previous human civilization when the people went too far, I wouldn't call many of them "endangered."

I main Gunlance, enjoying wasting all my wyrmstakes away since monsters push me off with their tails or move away fast enough to not get hit. Whenever I'm not doing that, I enjoy playing greatsword and sword & shield, the latter often used against monsters that spam too many attacks for me to just defend or tank them, since it's really mobile.
