One of my favorite overdrives ever made. It's definitely not a "fuzz" in my opinion, despite having a similar circuit. It's almost got a Timmy type character to it, but with brownface style grit in the mids. Can even sound like an AC30 top boost channel when cranked and the tone knob maxed out. Best tones from my blackface amps have come from this and my single coil Fenders
Andy has convinced a lot of people to buy pedals on TH-cam. I hope he is well compensated. The PDX Kid, no Picks were harmed in the making of this Demo.
For anyone interested, works great as a bass overdrive. Bass sounds really compressed through this pedal and the grit is really controlled but the tone knob is not that drastic.
I believe they are seymour duncan hot rodded pickups set. which I believe is the JB humbucker in the bridge and the Jazz in the neck. Hope that helps I only know that because I believe they mentioned it in older videos.
damn... what to choose? White Light or Crimson? ... I feel White Light can be a bit harsh sometimes ... hmm can't find something wrong with the Crimson ... hmmm
I do'nt know the Bellows, but this certainly is'nt the pedal for thick distortion. The Crimson drive is a trebly OD going fizzy/fuzzy at higher gain stages with out huge bottom end. Hope you make a satisfying choice :)
I don’t know if you would care to know after six years but that’s a Hagstrom Super Swede, pretty similar to a les Paul body shape. So the tailpiece is whatever the super Swedes got on there, you might be able to find it out there and slap it on your Gibson/epiphone.
Cross Eyed Mary, great song. I love this, Andy and PGS.

It sounds more like my Tubescreamer I got in a trade...
Andy your playing has boosted up a notch, sounds very good and a wonderful review, thank you.
I wish that you guys could just have a monopoly on the gear demo market. Every video has more variety, creativity, and quality than any other. Go PGS!
Andy is such a great guitar player that he could make any pedal sound good...
that was some mean slide work andy, YOU ROCK
Jethro Tull Cross-Eyed Mary opening sounded really good
I loved this playing - and the box sounds excellent!
New Fang! Great vintage voiced dirt box.
Love Andy's reviews :) always a joy to seee him play
Oh do I like this sound, great playing too!

Did you lose any Low End?
Andy does the best demos.
For those interested, the first riff is from Cross-eyed Mary by Jethro Tull.
Thanks for the usefull input Armani
Love the sound
Stay With Me!!!
Great playing.
That's a pretty sweet pedal.
Nice tone, perfect for a song like Them Crooked Vultures' New Fang... Oh wait. haha
Great, Andy!
Got to love a bit of Jethro Tull!
It's a Hagstorm's own stop-tail, he's playing a Hagstrom Swede if you want to check that out.
no problem, I am always here if you need any advice!

Please Andy make a video and teach us your picking technique!
I literally only want it because my band are called 'Crimson Ties' lool xD
Oh haha, I didn't notice it wasn't a Gibson/Epiphone Les Paul, thanks for the info and nice picture too. ;)
Cool thank you, I was searching for the name of song at 2:30 for quite a long time (it's not the first time Andy plays it... ;-))
Nice sound.
what was Andy playing at 6:20? I wanna say them crooked vultures, but I can't be sure...
sounds good

hey guys, how about a demo on the Vox Lil Looper?
Can you guys do a demo of one of these with a wah in the chain
Sounds like it turned the amp into a divided by 13 amp has a nice throaty chunck and stats tight.
Them Crooked Vultures!
5:50 Them Crooked Vultures! :D
Andy makes demos you can always sing along to 🤓 cross eyed mary!
Andy what pickups are you using for your les Paul? Are they stock from Gibson or did you upgrade them?
I play a Hagstrom suede as well. This has probably been asked before, but Is that one all stock?
What song is he playing at 0:30? Great sounding pedal btw, I want one!
tossing up between this and the bellows for a more dirty/thick distortion without going all the way to fuzz

trebly/fizzy isn't exactly what I'm looking for. I want something to darken up my sound, give it that real Isis sorta sound. Maybe the Acapulco Gold?
The A.G. may be a lot closer to what you're searching for.
the hagstrom is a super swede quite different from a swede.
which earthquaker distortion pedal is the best for death/black metal?
Aqualung, Jethro Tull's classic.
That outro song reminds me of Drawing Flies by Soundgarden.
Sounds like Jethro Tull to me
What song is he playing at 5:22? Nice overdrive, by the way.
opeth - a fair judgement :)
What's not to like?
@the59gibsonlespaul. Thanks!! That's very helpful....
DAT SLIDE
2:15 "STAY with ME" by Rod Stewart
motokev the faces. Not just rod. Be like saying 'Sweet Child O Mine by Axl Rose'
Does anybody know what kind of stop tailpiece he has on his les paul 3:30 in?
I don’t know if you would care to know after six years but that’s a Hagstrom Super Swede, pretty similar to a les Paul body shape. So the tailpiece is whatever the super Swedes got on there, you might be able to find it out there and slap it on your Gibson/epiphone.
No, Cross-Eyed Mary
By the "Faces" you mean!
very nasal/not open, like the ocd...
Maaaaarrrryyy
I like your shirt Andy, it would look even better if buttoned up, still nice though.
what?
Did you even read that link? People with schizophrenia do not have multiple personalities.
Ughhhhhhhhh def not for me! :S
Not open sounding at all
thumbs up if you think andy should grow a beard!
Them Crooked Vultures!
