I really was looking for stories of Prophets (a.s.) from Shia sources and found two resources very helpful:
1. The English translation of Hayatul Quloob Vol. 1 by Allama Majlisi and
2. This video series by Ammar Nakshawani

As-salaamu 'alaikum. Logically, circa 20 kya. Because scientific research suggests that sea levels had arose about 120 meters around 12, 000 years ago. Many human, plant, and animal species went extinct around that same time. That's obviously when the Great Flood took place. Also, clothing became a thing around that period; late Paleo-lithic era. So, Prophet Idris (a) likely came around the end of the Paleo-lithic era; perhaps around 20, 000 years ago.
@@skorpione10 I like that derivation. I recently read Magicians of the Gods by Graham Hancock which details the archeological research on the flood.
Salaam, @@mohamedsyed5977. Which page and chapter was it on? I'm interested in reading what he had written. Because, the conclusion I came to, was actually from three different fields. One from geography/geology/ecology -- those areas studied in high school. The other regarding extinction -- it's from just common facts that a lot of professors/teachers bring up. And the last component was Ron Wyatt's Noah's Ark discovery. Unfortunately, they don't conclude on the fact that it resides on Mt. Judi; a mountain in that Ararat region. They still referred to it as Mount Ararat.
So, let me know if just that discovery was mentioned or the above mentioned components as well. Jazak allah khair.
@@skorpione10 Wasalam! I don't recall any mention of Noah's Ark in this book. The book looks at multiple factors like you mentioned (geography, archeology, ecology) and most of it is trying to prove that there were full on civilizations for tens of thousands of years. Mainstream archeology shunned him until they found a city called Gobekli Tepe in Turkey which is supposed to be 12,000 years old. It's apparently a pre-flood city. I recommend you read the whole book because this whole concept of the flood and pre-flood civilizations is the entire premise of the book. It doesn't have a religious arc though. Enjoy!

Hallo are this stories shia stories does this not count for sunna?
well alot of the stories of prophets from shia and sunna are the same, but we have some differences here n there. the biggest would be is that shia believe that prophets are infallible from birth to death, while some sunna dont believe that.

it is not sayyed ammar the one telling us.. it is part of the teachings of the ahlul bayt (as) and our prophets... in case you missed it..... prophet idris(as) studied the science behind the cosmos (astronomy.. ) there is indeed an islamic based astrology..

It is compulsory for every Muslim to believe that Prophet Khizr is still alive. Anybody who denies this is not Muslim
Therefore, it is Islamic principle to believe that certain individuals are allowed to live far beyond the average lifespan. Which means if it is possible for a Prophet to live until today, it is just as possible for a chosen disciple of Prophet Muhammad himself to live until today
If you accept Prophet Khizr but also deny the Mahdi, you are exposing either your obvious bias, or serious lack of intellect
