The "white little puffy" trails from the wingtips is condensed water in the core of the wingtip vortices. Not to be confused with contrails, which only happen at high altitudes and are ice cristals which are formed due to the engine exhausts.
Actually contrails are formed from the exhaust of the engine due to heat and pressure differences forming a white vapour cloud. The term you are looking for is wingtip vortices, this happens when the wings are generating lift and under the right conditions of temperature, moisture etc. the wing will make these small ‘tornado’ like clouds that are basically a form of wake turbulence.

The name of the air coming off wings is a slipstream, not something that occurs irl but in the game it's another system to help track air craft in game.
A fun fact - Germs tried using flamethrowers in the rear of their He-111. It was effective in an different way they expected. Most of the time it couldn't hit the pursuer, but the pursuers just stopped attacking, mistaking the flame trail for critical damage to the bomber.

Which max upgraded fighter is better in BFV? The Me109 or the Spitfire? I personally think that in real life the Spitfire was the better fighter, its only downside was that it couldn't fly as high and so the German fighters could often take the British fighters by surprise, coming out from above. However, BFV should buff the spitefire and nerf the ME109 slightly so the spitfire is just slightly better to represent their actual ability
I just call it the me-109 because that's what I hear it being called normally. I think it stands for Messerschmitt 109. I'm not sure what the BF would stand for
I just watched a short vid and this guy said that it can be called both as although designed when the merger manufacturing company was owned by BF, it was mainly produced when the company was bought by ME stocks and apparently even the Germans, called it both interchangeably. You learn something new every day I guess :)
Yo Niccaman, I've went 130-3/5 3 times in a row in the same lobby with the ju88😂😂😂. Only times I got killed was by panzerfast because they got so fed up😂. Some guys also told me that he hopes my family get bombed lol
I believe they are water vapor created by the clash of low/high pressure at the tip of the wings. You’ll notice the slower you go the shorter and less consistent they become. It represents significant drag on the aircraft, hence the upswept tips on modern aircraft.
I just don’t get the feeling that this makes any meaningful impact on the actual fighting on the ground below in BFV. A bomber in BF1 circling a point could literally decimate it and allow the team to capture the point. You could target all of the armored vehicles and hunt them. The majority of these passes have no effect on the game below. I’m still a bit disappointed in air gameplay in this game. It’s just a few random dog fights and a few random kills. Without spotting you can’t really help the team below to much effect in my opinion
The bomber are ment to deal damage to below and the fighters are ment to destroy the bombers and other fighters. So yeah you cannot do that much in a fighter if you want to impact the game.
Otto Vuori in BF1, fighters with darts, attack planes with their regular gun, and bombers with any of their attacks could really target the ground. Plus they could all fight each other. Obviously the fighter was the best anti-plane. But all planes could impact the game below. Enough so that fighter darts had to be nerfed. I get their roles in BFV. But my point is that in the current system you might as well be playing a separate game in the skies. Plus with revives possible by anyone, a single kill no longer makes a difference
Otto Vuori I’m not arguing that these things should or shouldn’t be for a certain thing. I just don’t think any of it has an effect on the course of the match anymore, and it did in previous games
Technically the white line coming off the tip of the wing is called wing tip vortices as the air coming off the wings is dirty making a swirling motion and the vaper in the air is becoming denser
I love watching you play. I suck at vehicles in battlefield. I'm a 90% infantry 5% tanks, and 5% stationary cannons. I only use tanks when the enemy leaves theirs.
Those trails from your wings are because of an area of high and low pressure constantly fighting creating a vortex. In high-humidity, they're very visible.
The white smoke coming off the planes are called wingtip vortices, it’s when the air rolls down the wings creating the stream off the tip. Feel free to correct me, I haven’t gone over it in a while.
Every game I join my teammates only go for bombers, which leads to losing air superiority which then leads to our infantry being slaughtered by the enemy's bombers.
Nicc, I'm sure the stuff you do in this game makes it look really cinematic for people playing infantry on the ground! Wish somebody uploaded some footage of you wreking havoc from the skies!
Hey Niccaman. Do you know how to almost perfectly bomb without reticle? When you dive down, your bombs will always fell where nose of your plane is pointing at. At least on those fighters. So go little bit higher up, dive down under 40 or 45° and tip of your nose in 3p is where bombs will fell. I always release bombs just as my target is on tip of my nose. You can see this in 4:20 for example.
Playing as a pilot in a spit fire is my favourite thing to do in battlefield, I wish I could fly them more often and not have to wait until they are available
the white trails are water vapor. "Contrails, or condensation trails, are "streaks of condensed water vapor created in the air by an airplane or rocket at high altitudes." Fossil fuel combustion (as in piston and jet engines) produces carbon dioxide and water vapor. At high altitudes the air is very cold."
the ''puffy smoky things'' on the *WING TIPS* are called wing tip vorticies, which for due to the speed difference of the air above and below the wing. when they meet on the tips of the wings the air of the lower is slower than the are on the upper surface of the wing, and so the speed differences create these small thin vorticies. thats for the technical part. but lets just call em wing trails to make it easier ^^

You mean the bf109?
Me109 was it's full name me represents the manufacturer
@@tomh6418 It was called the ME-109 by allied pilots mainly, but its official name is BF-109
I also find it funny that some of the American planes mounted Bazooka rocket launchers to the wings
Yo Niccaman, I've went 130-3/5 3 times in a row in the same lobby with the ju88😂😂😂. Only times I got killed was by panzerfast because they got so fed up😂. Some guys also told me that he hopes my family get bombed lol
Because you don't make it fun for anyone else
@@NeilSeaver well its not that realistic. Of cource bombers should be for ground killing and the fighters are supposed to defend/destroy them.
Otto Vuori I’m not arguing that these things should or shouldn’t be for a certain thing. I just don’t think any of it has an effect on the course of the match anymore, and it did in previous games
@@NeilSeaver what impact did it have in previous games that it doesn't in this one? Genuinely curious
15:50 "Thats one hell of a pilot!"
12 view i love you bro ur my favorite youtuber
Vapor trails. The air moving across the wingtips condenses creating those little cloud lines.
6:40 really good duell cinematic :)
Imagine a mode 32 v 32 planes only it would be amazing. Like air superiority but with 32 v 32
The only man who used smokes in a god damn dog fight
Chemtrails - Oh wait chemtrails weren't a thing back in the 40s - :P lol
"white little puffy smokey things that come out the side of the wings" are called "" Vapes ""as in Vapor Trails
the ''puffy smoky things'' on the *WING TIPS* are called wing tip vorticies, which for due to the speed difference of the air above and below the wing. when they meet on the tips of the wings the air of the lower is slower than the are on the upper surface of the wing, and so the speed differences create these small thin vorticies. thats for the technical part. but lets just call em wing trails to make it easier ^^
The wing trails are called wingtip vortices and can be seen also on Formula
You can’t blame the AA guy he’s only doing his team a favor by trying to take out the plane that’s wiping out his team lol
Those white lines from the wingtips are called "wingtip vortices" it's basically like little tornadoes coming off your wing
