Glad you liked our Mips helmet and thank you for reviewing! This is the only model we have right now, but we are working on other helmet models already, such as road cycling and MTB helmets, it will only get better!
Nice helmet for the price. The mesh also helps keeping bugs out. Getting a bee or wasp inside can be a scary experience. I bought a Bontrager solstice helmet last year. 50 GBP with MIPS. Nice comfy helmet that I use for gravel riding.
Not all helmets feel/fit the same on my head. Giro $$$ for years fit my head shape then when looking for a replacement Giro no longer fit the same but Bell $$ did. I was told later that Giro bought Bell and sent their old tooling to Bell thus the difference. Question: does this helmet fit similar to another mfg that I could try on in store? Like the look, features and price.
Good stuff! I’m actually looking for a new gravel/road helmet with MIPS and I’m looking at either the Outdoor Master or the Giro Register/Isode. I watched both of your review videos. They are basically the same price. Which would you recommend?
Great review Clint! Unfortunately, I've been trying to contact Outdoor Master by phone and email to buy one and no one answers or replies. Voicemail says "the mailbox is full" and email says "it might take long for us to get back to you". I wonder if there still in business?
I don’t like hearing that! Did you try just ordering one on their website? Remember there’s a discount code that I put in the description… I assume it still works. Let me know if you’re able just to go on the website and place an order. If not I’ll reach out to them.
honest question: why the visor? Is it a fashion mandate for mtb cool kids or a functional thing? I used to run visors, but they got in the way, catching in airflow on fast descents or wind gusts, and sometimes snagged on twigs. riding glasses worked better.
For me, the main purpose of a visor is to keep the sun off my face. This is particularly useful for gravel riding where there is less tree cover. But also for mountain biking, you’re coming in and out of the woods and to keep harsh shadows off your face is really helpful.
@@ClintGibbs Good point. I can see how anything to block the sun is a major consideration in the deep south. When I go to Whistler on the other hand...

Hope you look at making an extra large size. There are many like myself who cannot wear a large as they are too small.

Thanks for the video. I enjoy your informative and straight forward reviews. Think I'm going to try this helmet, and I'll use the code you provided!
Mesh keeps incoming bugs out too! Nice, will try one.
Thanks Clint
Just ordered one
Mine old Gyro is about done in this Florida weather
and how do you like it fruit?
Wasn't aware of this brand but those are some nice features and cheaper than by budget bell. Will try them out once my current one expires.
Glad you made this video, I'm ordering one now
and how do you like it Field?
Great information thanks Clint.

I actually find the outdoor master more comfortable
@@ClintGibbs one more question- I like the color you got. Is that the Aqua Blue or Pavement Gray? Thank you!
@@jeremyfritz7850 pretty sure it’s aqua blue

It doesn't look like this helmet was independently tested at Virginia Tech. Do they have plans to send them one?
Not sure, but I used it in Blacksburg on the trails by Virginia tech. Does that count? 😀

not quite the same lol
4:00 keeps bugs out!
$57??? I can’t afford to NOT buy one. That’s unreal. I’ll report back.
whats your thoughts on it?

@@richcole3931 I don’t wear sunscreen much because it makes me nauseous, so a visor and skin coolers are important.
in Texas, we like visors in the summer, because the only time you can ride is in the cool mornings. And the visor shields you from that sun!
1997 called and it wants the visor back...
They must the wrong number ‘cause visors on tail bike helmets are in!
