I think hes a kind of player who performs better the more goals he scores and also i think Xavi tactics was hurting whole team not only him, but in the end hes 36 so he needs more support around him if you expect him to score like crazy.

I've always said this; stop passing it all around with zero purpose, don't let opponents organize themselves and Lewandowski will score. Xavi believed in just "sidepass, backpass and maybe sometimes forwards." Too pragmatic for an aggressive box-poacher like Lewandowski. With Hansi Flick's fluid, flexible, and well-oiled attacks, Lewandowski effectively acts as both a goalscorer and a central press-sponge (for example, if he scores and the opposition defenders begin double marking him, Lewandowski can just use that as a way to suck the press up and make room for someone like Olmo or Raphinha, and then they start double marking them, leading to Lewandowski getting more space, because the opposition is confused)

he needs to get more balls. I think Barca still doesn't have the flow. Players liek Raphina and Yamal they can produce a lot of situations, but also they love to be on the ball and many times they break the flow of the game. Simple pass to lewy in first tempo would be better than trying to dribble through 2 defenders.

    • @nu-agegamer3548
      @nu-agegamer3548 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

@@aviationstuff9564 I was never really a fan of Xavi's tactics, personally; I mostly put up with it because I thought we couldn't do any better. He was simply too dependent on positional play, touchline wingers, and 1-on-1 dribblers. When his tactics got exposed after Dumbshitfuckfacebele got injured, we relied on utilizing a low-block with extremely boring patterns of play with 0 creativity which got exposed massively in Europe in particular. When Dembele and Busquets left the next season, Xavi tried to outscore the opponent, but poor luck, individual errors and a mediocre (and later terrible) makeshift pivot in Romeu, resulted in us conceding early like clockwork, in addition to continuing to be far too conservative and pragmatic. Lewandowski doesn't work in super conservative and pragmatic systems. We only have two 1-on-1 dribblers, but yet we still create chances when they are subbed off/injured (Lamine subbed off, Olmo injured). Point is, it both is and isn't Xavi's fault, it isn't because a lot of last season was again, individual errors and bad luck, but it is because he doesn't know how to get the best out of his players if they don't fit his incredibly inflexible plan perfectly.

Lewy isn't back. Because he didn't go anywhere. He was always at the top, But Xavi's training methods and strategy did not allow Lewy to fully develop his capabilities as a master of the penalty area. Fortunately, Flick knows that football is about scoring goals against opponents. Xavi thought football was about making as many passes as possible, including passes to own goalkeeper.

Lewy's lack of efficiency last seasons are on Xavi. A striker needs usable balls to score. Take the greatest goal scorers now or in the past. If they're not served with lots of balls they don't score. Simple as that. And with Xavi's crazy philosophy that we can pass our way into the net, Lewy didn't get many usable balls. The whole team was bad under Xavi and people pinned it on Lewandowsky.

Imagine being your whole life in rigorous training regime, then you come to Barcelona and you get Xavi schoolyard training xD, no physicality, no fitness, nothing to maintain your body. Just a slacking training regime. Why he was so good in the first season here? Cause he was prepared for a season by Bayern, he was a fitness beast. @@M_പപ്പൻ1 When the team gets his 3 points from the game, people don't care who is supposed to score. Suarez has the 3rd most assist in recorded history which is crazy considering it was not his job. But Messi being Messi wouldn't allow others to score and steal his glory.
Look at Real Madrid: as long as CR was there, Benzema wasn't really allowed to shoot, his main role was to pass it to CR. People didn't care that Benzema when he did try to shoot missed the post every time. As long as CR was scoring, nobody cared. They started caring only after Ronaldo left and Benzema had to score. And he was poor at it the first season after Ronaldo left. Fans were booing him.
TLDR: when the team gets all the points fans don't care that an individual is lacking in goal scoring ability.

I keep saying this. He's 36. It's normal for any player his age to decline in consistency and quality.
In fact, I argue that he's doing wonderfully for a player at his age. Barca is the club of my life but I blame Barca for the shade Lewandowski has been receiving. This negative talk about Lewandowski is all because Barca failed to find a suitable replacement for him. The "declining" Lewandowski, has basically the same per-game goal Average as Luis Suarez had, and Suarez played in a comparatively much stronger Barcelona. Xavi's tactics did Lewa dirty. Basically no (or extremely poor) service and then blamed for losses while the whole team played comically bad. Lewandowski is a particular type of player who excels in his role but needs a team around him for link-up play. Season is long, but I hope he proves all his "bashers" (not to mistake with critics) wrong.

Not only Lewandowski was a victim of Xavi's training and tactics, but also Raphin, who plays much better, and Kounde as well. I'm just waiting to see how De Jong will play when Flick takes care of him. Xavi was a brilliant player, but a poor manager at the time. Yamal stopped pointlessly nodding and knows when to do it, he makes much better decisions and started shooting instead of passing the ball to the opposing goalkeeper. First of all, the pointless passing of the ball after dinner, bypassing the striker, has ended. Lewandowski now has 5-6 shots in a match, under Xavi it was often the case that he had 1 shot. Flick, Flick again, I've been a fan of this manager since Bayern.

It's very simple, the first half of the year his form was based on what he developed during physical training in Bayern, then a slow decline in form caused by lazy Spanish training. Before the current season and the Euro he said in an interview that he was definitely not physically enough in training at the club and he started to add to it himself and magically Lewa's shooting form started to return and Flick's arrival at the club only completed the job. Just look at how physically Barcelona looks now.

Wśród tych 11 zawodników konieczny jest egzekutor, któremu trzeba zapewnić odpowiednia ilość podań by mógł wypełnić swoje zadanie. Flick też rozumie, że Lewandowski ma 36 lat i prawdopodobnie będzie go z boiska ściągać wcześniej by utrzymać w nim jak najdłużej świeżość.

Add to that the continued maturity of Lamine into a Balon D'or contender, and Raphinha thriving under Flick's system, it bodes well for Lewa continuing to get good scoring chances. 1st season Lewandowski did a lot to help a La Liga, but 2nd season other players often almost on purpose avoid passing ball to him. I think his underperformance had 3 reasons:
    1) Lewy is not tiki-taka type of player, which I think affected his position within the team and him being a choice for play
    2) Xavi way of attacking was slow, Lewandowski was almost always covered with defenders and so wingers had more space than him 99% of time
    3) Lewy was not so strong physically, he was declining as season go and getting furious
If you look at Lewy last games, he does score, and looks much more sharper. His reaction time with "low cycle kick" was truly amazing for his age. He can score more goals and I think he is on ramp right now

What are you even yapping about lil bro lewa has best penalty conversion rate in our generation he only failed only 3 penalties over the course of 4 years. He missed in a league game which tbh didn't hamper the team

😂😂😂. 1 penalty miss in a 5-1 win, and now he is being replaced for penalties? He's one of the best penalty takers right now
