Very helpful, thank you. I can get the loop to work when only data from one xml root element, but when I have multiple root elements I cannot get my package to perform the Data Flow on each root element (from the XML Source my dataflow branches to separate OLE DB destination tables in the same database, all contained within the same Foreach Loop Container) and then continue to loop through the remaining xml files in the source directory. So, is there a way to make that approach work? Or should I create multiple Foreach Loop Containers in my Control Flow, one for each root element Data Flow? Alternatively, I suppose I could create a separate package for each root element, but what's best?

I don't understand how you obtain the file.xsd. Did you have to create a file in the folder which you then use to navigate to when you clicked on Generate XSD?
