It's a damn shame that the PS2 port of the game never got released in North America, so it seems. Still, at least I now know that it did get released in the PS2, so it is sort of a win. I heard that it also has more Pilots, Mobile Suits, and Missions as well, when it is usually the inverse for PS2 ports of PS3 games.
