Our equivalent is called the ATIP (Access to Information and Privacy) and it is much more limited in scope in comparison to the American law in what it can do. Concerning government interactions with Deloitte and the other company for the semi-outsourced option, the best you can get is emails and possibly (but rarely) transcripts of phone or video conversations. But the fact is that, if someone in contempt were to go through with any malicious acts, they would do it off the record and this is allowed and is quite common for the sake of convenience (we're talking group chats, text messages, etc. on personal devices). In fact, the guy being questioned, Mr. Doan, has an excuse that I feel any court will reasonably accept: it was the lockdown era and communications were on overload and working overtime.
