Getting it disloged before fixing it was a very smart move. I was in a similar situation today, and I fixed my sub before disloging it so when I went to get away I just caused more hull damage forcing me to go out again.
Lol looks like me trying to take a cyclops with aquariums filled with infected garryfish to the lavazone so the rest of my garrys would be ok and there would be a huge population down there
Ughhh...I remember traversing this section of the Lost River in my own Cyclops. I didn't get stuck in the terrain but I could not for the life of me find the exit. I spent an hour trying to find my way out, and I even had to fight and kill a juvenile Ghost Leviathan just to scrape by. To this day I avoid going to this area simply to keep my bad memories at bay.
I got myself "glitch stuck" while in my Prawn Suit. I was exploring the Cove Tree & the game just decided I wanted to make myself at home trapped in the roots of the tree. I was able to break free after a couple a minutes, but still, I'm just happy it didn't do something like that in the Lava Zone or something! But you did a great job escaping despite the overwhelming panic! 😅😅😅
The same thing happened to me my cyclops was stuck in those trees and I was about to lose so much progress in hardcore but then I put it ahead flank and kept trying and finally I was free but I didn't deal with the leviathan cause I already killed him so I guess it was a bit easier but my cyclops was gonna blow up oh I forgot the stuck that I got was way worse my cyclops was flipped over and kept moving around and at one point I flew out of the cyclops and landed outside I wasn't swimming I was walking, however, I managed to get in to fix it so I would swim
This costed me almost 5 hardcore runs. Fucking lost river is haunting my Cyclops. The most painful story I had is that I was out of my cyclops collecting nickel when I hear metallic clanging. Turned around to see my Cyclops getting inhaled by the wall. I swam back to the Cyclops and saw it getting launched towards me and I was then promptly greeted with the "Game over" screen. Cried for at least 30 minutes.
There are two types of Subnautica players: (1) this impressive display of figurative balls, and (2) screaming hysterically at the reaper barely visible in the distance. I am one of these two.
Something similar happened to me with a Reaper leviathan. I managed to get my cyclops with critical HP out of there (maybe dribing it like in Fast and Furious)
I don’t understand why everyone is talking about how smart his actions were, even the author understands that he did a lot of stupid things for this video. Initially, it was fashionable to avoid this situation if he sailed looking behind the keel chamber or simply watching the height. If you are already stuck, then you first need to understand how and try to get out, and not throw the bait under you, attracting predators. If you can’t get free, you need to turn off the engine and don’t get behind the wheel, because predators will not attack the cyclops until no one controls it, and even more so until it makes noise. After you got rid of the fire (if there was one), you need to repair the cracks in the hull, if there is a ghostly leviathan next to you, then just stop it with a stasis rifle, and that's it, no problem. No offense to the author, but seeing so many mistakes on the video, I hoped that the Cyclops would explode at the end, due to such careless treatment of him
Lol yeah, i wasn't prepared for the whole thing to happen, i was just piloting the cyclops as usual when this happened, it was mostly just panic and hasty decisions, i was sure i would die but decided to keep trying for the heck of it. Also, imo it's better to dislodge the vehicle before fixing it because it being stuck was constantly damaging it. also, i didn't have a stasis rifle.
So, in the previous comment, I forgot to say that no matter how many mistakes you made, you still managed to escape with him, so uh covers some of the jambs, and I thought that you already went to the "Great Dive" and therefore I was surprised by your unpreparedness, but since you say that you were just "walking)". But still, I have to ask one last question, how did you manage to create a cyclops, but not create a stasis rifle? I create it earlier than the Crab, but you have just the opposite.
The most inspirational story i’ve ever seen about this game. Thank you.
Hahahaha Glad you enjoyed :'D
Epic subnautica moment
Moral of the story:
Having magenta vehicles automatically promotes you to gigachad level and grants you a free life pass
hahahaha
I've lost many cyclops to the same glitch. Excellent job mate
ty! yeah, it's really annoying
Truly Inspirational, Also reminded me that the cyclops has a TON of health.
