Legends of Motorsport - Rod Millen - Full Interview

Rod Millen is like the multitool of New Zealand motorsport history. One of the more interesting and accomplished motorsport I have interviewed he really lit up for this chat, just a few hours before jetting back from New Zealand to USA where he spends most of his time.

What a brilliant interview! As a kid my father had a scrap book full of rotary powered race cars which included magazine articles and race results of significant rotary wins. Needless to say Rod featured heavily throughout that book! My father later purchased a 4wd Rx7 that Rod actually supplied a 13bPP engine for original builder David Greer. That car won two national forest rally championships in the hands of Mervyn Hill. We still have that car and Rods old MFR13bPP engine is now living under the bench. Lol. I know myself and my father would love to go to the Leadfoot festival someday to see the retro rotaries and perhaps meet Rod! What a cool life that man has had!
