@@Idkwhattoputhere5123 Oddly enough, Valve always gave the CS series the crappiest reload animations but other games like Day of Defeat and L4D have actual personality in their reloading animations. Even to this day, CS2's animations are just the same CSgo ones which weren't any good to begin with.
I think its mostly cause old 3d graphics tend to look more simple but defined, like the gun is very distinct to its background. in this case, the gun is mostly black and the background mostly yellow with little in-between, like minimal shadows, debris and other extra elements that would rather clutter the screen of your modern game. you get to focus on what's important which is the animation of the hand and the gun itself
i love how the pistols look so little in the characters hands compared to the og anims. Makes them feel small, compact, but packs quite a punch, especially with the deagle.
Is nice, but some models are clipping into the camera, the M3 especially. Also what's with M4's silencer? I mean, like, it's being put on offscreen, but as the sound starts playing, player already pulls it out with the silencer. Is that animation supposed to have different sounds or something?
TMP and UMP had the Foregrip but why the animation just handle it on the Handguard? maybe someday they can fix it so itll be more realistic even in old game

Given that Valve to this day is still not quite sure how guns work, I'm honestly surprised they've not contracted modders to just do this. They're still turning in games in 2024 with animations less sophisticated than what we had in 2001.

Theres a problem with the incorrect models from part of MW in Counter Strike 1.6: 1:09 the slide of FN Five 7 pistol isn't pulling the handle itself whenever if its reloaded itself 1:46 whnever if the M4/M1014 shotgun itself reloads, the bolt wasn't punishingly handle by a player itself, jist similar tk COD, it disnst have the mistakes, but others does havr the mistake problem with the M4 shotgun 2:06 the player relaods the TMP gun but didnt pulling a bolt itself, it makes jammed the trigger shooting button, which leading to stucking on them, theres a smallish bolt on behid of the back of buttocks on TMP 2:24 the grip was shown on H&K UMP-45 while the player didnt hold the grip, before it was Shown to reloading, also on modern warfare, theres no grip in this game that ump does possibly not having their own grip itself, before next time, if there was a grip on ump-45 or not 3:02 the bolt was shown when it was to be clsoed whike it was shooting a player befire its relaoding, this is another mistake for SG SIG Sauer 556 3:20 if the player pulls down a bolt for heavy push backs, theres a peoblem that it sounded like an actual FAMAS bolt pulling and AUG grip pulling, theres no sound like the hitting for the punching of the bolt with a heavy way to go back or backwards, it still reminds me off player reloading the Steyr AUG before it realods itself and pulls the bolt back very heavier 3:56 & 4:09 the Sound of puhsing of hitting for M4A1, like the sound from AUG and MP5, and other games with M4 rifles, was never fully heard itself, just only the sound of pulling M4A1's bolt, which was very kinda messed up 4:50 the realoding of G3 of pulling the bolt ti say backwards before its back itself, simikar to heavy puhsing bolt back sound, was nit hearing whike the G3 was reloaded itself by a player, even frkm sound of puhsing rifles from different types of games itself 5:53 the ammos itself was gone when M249 got the shooting rounds completedly finished, the ammos was inside of plasitc ammos box inside before it was completed the shooting with no ammos before the realoding itself was beginning, just like a player from counter strike, maybe not wondering if there was no M249 in COD's games or not? originally, the developers were modeling guns left handed, because the dude who did them was left handed. you can see a lot of early counter strike footage with guns on the left. since the guns are mirrored, they eject incorrectly when cl_righthand 1 is on

It's because cs 1.6's guns were all in left hand configurations when in right hand mode. Casings always ejected to the left.
