- You can't imagine how much I'm gonna miss their dynamic. Their relationship was truly so important in the show & so important for me. I cried so much when Dan died 🤧 I wish they could've bring him back, maybe they will, who knows!

Lucifer may not admit it to himself, but he did love and care about Dan. He did genuinely consider him and friend and ally.

i think and i believe lucifer as a good angel in this tv show he loves and cares about all humans
one little thing i noticed about their relationship is that Lucifer was really the only character in the show to call him Daniel by his full name i think this was a subconscious thing on Lucifer's part because he's so used to talking to people who are or he considers a sibling has a name ending in EL

The fact that lucifer got into the whole god fight with his own siblings just to make micheal pay for Dan's death is wholesome. That proves Dan was a true brother to lucifer.

Oh come on, everything was going happily ever after with the bad guys gone with a small sad loss. If I didn't see any major character dead I wouldn't consider it having emotional parts
In the season finale of 5B, when Michael shows up at Lux & admits to Lucifer that he ordered Dan's murder, I always envision some more dialogue that had fitted right in there. Even if it isn't spoken out loud I feel it's there between the twins:
Michael: "Why do you complain, brother? I always got the impression you never liked the Douche. I did you a favor ridding him out of your life."
Lucifer: "A favor? Don't you ever again call me brother! Daniel Espinoza was far more a brother to me than you ever have been to me & from now on certainly never will hope to ever be!"
After that Michael appeared on the show I more & more felt & realized what Dan pretty much has meant & symbolized to Lucifer. Dan was to him what Michael should have been but never was, a real brother. A brother to tease & make fun of, a brother to love & support when it was needed. Dan filled a void for Lucifer & now I finally get why.
This left me in tears. :)

@@oxanatarashchuk4598 i always noticed that he always called him Daniel instead of DAN because all of his other siblings including his original name all end in el. it shows how he viewed him even on their level.

Because of his death, and the narrative direction from that point- I was destroyed. I felt like his death was more pivotal than anything that came after because it was unexpected and so, so tragic. I was kind of afraid to watch this because everytime I see him I start choking up. You captured their dynamic so perfectly. I'm smiling and crying all over again. Thanks for this. It's good to know some people were affected on the level I was.

I had the same reaction as you when watched ep15 for the first time. I cried more on his death than on the next episode, because it was truly unexpected for me and seemed a bit unrealistic. But that scene in hospital killed me 😭💔💔💔 And after, when appeared that he is in Hell it draw me nuts. I have a bit of hope that he would overcome his guilt and go to Heaven in the next season

It's seven months later, and this still made me cry. Dan's death in Chloe's arms ripped me in half. Trixie's response in the hospital took those two halves and ran them through a shredder.
The real crime is that Lucifer never got to experience any proper intimate brotherly moments with Dan before he died. He didn't get to say how much he appreciates him for becoming better, and express how much he really means to him.

Even though Lucifer would never admit it to himself, he absolutely did love and care for Dan and there's no denying it. It's very visible through his actions towards him, even the playful banter they throw back and forth with each other. I'm truly going to miss their friendship and I hope to god we see some justice for Dan because I know Lucifer and Amanadiel both won't stop until Dan is resting in the right place. Bracelet bros forever. ❤️
Lucifer and Dan are more alike then either of them knew. They were both "trying" to be good.
I did not expect to care about Dan and I did not expect at all that dynamic and relationship between Daniel and Lucifer will become my favourite.

This is why I don't have high hopes for Season 6, The relationship between Lucifer & Dan were a big part of why I watched the show from the start, the tension & eventual bromance between the two was so perfectly crafted it made episode 15 more heart breaking to watch
But now that Lucifer is God, Dan is bound to come back in some fashion!! 😊

That's why it was supposed to be at the end of the show. Kevin said he wanted that death at the end to leave a print, you know, feel the character go at his peak. But in the meantime they added season 6 so now the will add him in a different way probably

@@ximienlundquist8487 because this season was supposed to be the last from the beginning, that was the end of Dan's redemption line: to die like hero and reunite in Heaven with Charlotte. But when appeared it could be season 6, they changed this a bit, so we possibly could see him in the next season. I hope that they would help him to escape his Hell loop as they made it for Mr. SaidOutBitch

Dan is a great guy, he can see Lucifer shortcomings, when Lucifer in his Ego and calls out, they are both trying to see the best in each other, as both have their own insecurities etc, a beautiful friendship ❤❤🙏🏽

See Man, I guess honestly Lucifer always liked Dan & Dan thought Lucifer was ok, because if Lucifer didn’t cared, why would he & Maze avenged him, Lucifer was right, Dan shouldn’t be in Hell, Lucifer should the word out in Hell if any Demon touches Dan; they have to deal with the boss and not in a good way until Dan gets his place in heaven
