    You’re the only one that I can watch full 1+ hour

  • @th3w4nted
    @th3w4nted 3 ปีที่แล้ว +53

    "LA is not too far from here. Yeah 16 hours is not bad at all" 😮
    The US is enormous. I drove for 12 hour straight a few years ago and made it from south western Poland to London!

    • @jull1234
      @jull1234 3 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      The US is large in size but small in history.
      Europe is small in space but large in history.

    • @nevco8774
      @nevco8774 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You failed to mention that you went directly from Poland in Germany on autobahn which is relly fast then autoroute in France is fast than Channel train then around 200 km motorway toll London.
      In the USA most highways are built with very low speed limits - between 55 and 65 MPH which translates to 88 and 104 km/h. Kyle specifically mentions being happy about being able to use a 80 MPH stretch in Utah

    • @th3w4nted
      @th3w4nted 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@nevco8774 Yes, the speed limits are different but you've missed the point. 16 hours is a long drive, regardless of how fast you're going.

    • @nevco8774
      @nevco8774 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@th3w4nted Not for Kyle but for me certainly 16 hours is a very long drive. In the USA people still measure the distance in minutes of driving. I moved in 2005 from Europe to the USA and I still use calculation of road distance instead of time used to drive on it. The slow speed annoys me and gets me faster tired than a faster speed though the width of highways make them less stressful than narrow fully car packed motorways in Europe.
      However in some desolated areas of highways in the middle of the USA the distance described by you in Europe can be covered even in less time in the USA. For fun I checked the distance you specified from Boleslawiec in Poland to London UK being 1308 km which Google maps suggests as being of 14 hours and 10 min of driving. The same distance from Minneapolis MN to Oklahoma City being 1305 km via Tulsa AK, Google maps suggests the need of 11 hours and 49 min of driving. Along the coasts roads are much more crowded in the USA so driving is much more gruesome.

    I've been working in Idaho Springs for the last 5 years... Didn't know it was a V3 supercharger as I don't have a Tesla but that makes sense with how relatively new it is. I'm thinking that it's definitely going to be my next car though. My work is at 10,000 feet nearer to Mt. Evans and it just hurts my ICE car to do every single day. Next time you cross into Idaho Springs do a call ahead order to Smokin Yards BBQ. It's my favorite.

    There is a TH-cam channel in California - EV West converting classical cars to EVs using Tesla powertrains and battery packs. I bet somebody will convert to an EV a new Morgan you are featuring in the video to avoid bothering with rusty old cars bodies.
    In the UK there is a company RBW building a small parties of BEV cars called MGB using new chassis exactly replicating old MG roadsters. Those do not have airbags but almost all new gadgets peculiar to modern EVs.
    Long awaited video but was worthy due to professional rendering.
    Well done!

    • @winjones4255
      @winjones4255 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      from what I've gathered, they have ironed out most of the QC stuff that was happening with the early release Model Y's. It's really a matter of if you are ok with bringing the car in once or twice at the beginning if you even have to. Some teslas don't need anything fixed, you just don't have anyone making a video called "My Model Y Had no Factory Issues" because that would make for a boring video haha. I was worried about QC, too. But, I'm going into it with the understanding that I might have to bring my Y in whenever it gets delivered. Have fun on the test drive!

      I mean the rest of the time he is driving and its just his style because its technically quicker. He goes around 100 or so miles per charge. The car can go nearly 325 on a full charge but takes longer to charge. If you stop and eat you could easily get nearly a full charge. If you have a 500-600 mile trip you could do it on once charge which most people would stop and take a break during anyways

      @@OutofSpecMotoring that's just as good! I'm not really a fan of the interior changes. However I'm very interested in seeing if the glass makes a difference to cabin noise.
      I've been driving my Infiniti qx60 again and can't believe how much more insulated it is than the Model 3. 😔 The Tesla just feels so cheap

    I installed a genuine roof rack and a GrandTour 16 cargo box on top of the Model 3. The problem is that the front part of the cargo box shakes up and down while driving. I'm a little anxious. I'm worried about safety issues. How about your GrandTour 16 cargo box?
