Kirk, I wrote to you in the messenger right after watching your TAS2022 video that I suspect the GR GT3 is a camouflaged LFA. I even sent you photos to confirm my suspicions. Taillights as on new Lexus. Inlets under the lights as in the LFA. Same proportions as a Lexus electric supercar. It is obvious to me that we are seeing the new LFA :)
Since the Tundra Hybrid adds power and not fuel economy I'm pretty sure Lexus F will use hybrids to add power too. I think Toyota said that too, hybrids will be optimized for power and plug-ins will be optimized for EV range.
Hybrid on Toyotas have gotten good with this new generation such as Camry and Rav4, Toyota focus on reliability for the past couple years and now they are focusing on power. This is great compared to most brands, which focus on power first and well, reliability usually comes 2nd or even 3rd hand

Was really hoping for a swansong V10 + hybrid GT3. but IMO it makes most commercial sense, and hear me out here, to simply release the car with the same N/A V8 and use heavy electrification to fill in the power gap. It would significantly reduce development cost (no need to develop a one time use TT V8 which will get mothballed in a few years), appeal to the purists (keeps the sound and character, only with much more torque), showcases their electric technology (400+ hp from the electric powertrain to hit that near 1000hp total power output figure!), and please the tree huggers (because hybrid). Cmon Lexus you can do it!!! One more N/A V8 sports car!! On the flip side if they twin turbo the GT3, my LC500 will probably achieve elite status at the end of the decade lol so either way I'm not complaining
A 4 year life cycle is good news for those of us that can't get an IS500 this year. Plus it gives time to battle the markups. If they make a LFA2.0 I hope its priced with the competition.

So since Mazda and Toyota are doing a lot together lately, what if the platform of this car will be shared with Mazda to do their RX-Vision. A lot like BMW and Toyota did with the Z4/Supra mk V. The side profile of this concept reminds a lot about the RX-Vision concept, so maybe they'll swap some body panels and put in a Mazda engine... (I'm dreaming here)
I’m pretty confident this is the next LFA. I know expectations are high, but the next LFA will be special in its own way. First, I think we will be teased for a long time before we see the production version, Toyota likes to have fun with marketing, look at the hype build up for the GR Corolla. The success of the GR Yaris was a precursor to a new LFA, meaning race car first, production car second. Cars built this are always amazing. There will be tons of more rumors, and when the car comes out there will be a lot of great marketing going with it. My opinion is Lexus wants the new LFA to be like the first Gen NSX, not a limited run, but a special car built with Motorsport technology and the great dynamics of a road car. I wouldn’t be surprised to see an MR2 at some point too, Toyota was pretty clear about bringing back some iconic models, the Supra was just the beginning, but the LFA will be the cherry on top for Toyota, and likely the last great ICE super car from Toyota. The LC was always meant to be a luxury GT, I believe the LCF was scrapped to bring a new LFA. Lexus management is likely well aware of the success the LFA is today in the car market, why wouldn’t Toyota want to capitalize on that. Lastly, the new LFA will be what the Porsche 918 Spyder is to the Carrera GT. Both are great cars in their own way.
After purchasing my dream 2021 LC500 Inspiration Series Convertible last year, #79 of 100, I was told to expect something really, really big for the 2025 model year through a 100% legitimate source who is very, very close to Lexus management. Hit me up Kirk for details as I was sworn to secrecy, however, this video surely legitimizes the "tip" I received. Now if I can just gather and sell enough roadside aluminum cans and corner beg between now and 2025...
It'll be a LFB. It'll be lame if it doesn't have F1 or any single open seat racer technology. LFA has been legendary because of F1 technology and tuning just as Mercedes products (driving characteristic wise).
I mean, does that mean we might see an all new Lexus IS since he mentioned life cycle? How many F products will there even be, this "LFA 2", and what other vehicle? No one is gonna buy a performance RX or NX, that leaves me to believe and hope there's is light for a new IS, and by 2030 they stop production of all ICE variants of their vehicles and just have electric versions
The Soarer was discontinued in JDM as a Toyota and transferred to Lexus as the SC. That means that USDM gets it nowadays as the NA-5.0L V8 LEXUS LC 500 coupe and convertible (even JDM gets them under Lexus exclusively).
@@syxepop LC is amazing. My thinking is something tied to the supra again. 90s Soarers came with 1JZ, 2JZ or 1UZ on the platform borrowed later by the MK4 Supra. LC is less sport and more luxury and much farther from the Supra. Maybe the Fsport LC will get us closer, but I dream of a capable sports car in Toyota's lineup above the Supra with a V8.
