They technically did as once you best them you are awarded the title matter of dread. Just wish there was like an emote that makes people around you cower when title is equipped

I know I commented on this video a long time ago, but I have something to add. The Inquisitor gets bonus points for resisting the Dread Masters because she used to be a slave. Now as a member of the Dark Council, she has *earned* her freedom, and nothing in the galaxy will take it away. All classes probably have the option to resist, but only the Inquisitor and the Agent truly give that resistance meaning.

I think by "ordinary Sith" she's comparing them to the usual stock that the Empire throws at the Hero of Tython. Scourge's vision from the Force implies that the Knight is stronger than Revan, so they've probably earned the right to classify Sith by threat level.

Oh, you didn't. I was commenting on what the Chancellor said near the end about the Dread Masters. She said they "weren't ordinary Sith," and someone in the comments section said that no Sith are "ordinary". Because Google+ is a piece of junk, I couldn't respond directly to that comment. I just had to write my thoughts and hope it was seen.

I still don't understand why did they just waste cool characters like Dread Masters and make them turn against everyone, they would've been more useful as supreme commanders of imperial forces that you can coordinate your attacks with
These guys could've definitely been useful in the Eternal Empire arcs, I mean come one, we don't even get to use Jaese say for very niche scenes on Taris.... it's like isn't she the one that can see the dark force of anyone if it's there? What a waste.
Really screwed with me seeing their masks move as if it were their actual heads.

"These aren't ordinary Sith" What a smug statement from a Senator. Sith are not ordinary, the tiniest Sith who survives Korriban is a creature to be feared, unlike what the game shows, those creatures that pass for Sith are only there because of the need for balance of game statistics and to offer some variety on enemies. But the prequels show us what happens when a smuggler shoots at a Sith Lord like Vader, or when a cheeky Moff chooses to defy the Sith Lord's power.

They're at the end of the main storyline in Belsavis, that would be chapter 3 of the vanilla storylines
I played through this questline 4 times, but I swear I don't remember the Dread Masters' masks actually moving as they spoke.
The helmets were sort of scuffed in the early days
when the game was still challenging on story paths

You know the teir two dread master mask? Can you do a walk through on how to get it?
Serdoma gaming In short;
You need to first kill Dreadtooth 10 times. Each time Dreadtooth is killed, you get a Dreadful Essence that can be used on Dreadtooth himself to give him a stacking buff. Kill him 10 times, then use all 10 essences on him so he has 10 stacks and then kill him again.
When he dies with 10 stacks he'll drop a Dreadful Amulet. Take that Amulet to Terror from Beyond operation and summon the Dreadful Entity, it is located in a cave right before you get to the 3 commanders. Dreadful Entity drops the Dreadful Orb.
When Dreadful Entity is killed, you need to go to 16 man Scum and Vilainy 16 Nightmare and use the Dreadful Orb to summon the Hateful Entity. Hateful still requires a very good group to kill. It's got 10.5m hp and does a lot of AoE damage and knockbacks constantly. It will drop 4 Crests of the Dread Master per kill, and you can summon him as many times as you have orbs. Hateful is located in the cave after Titan Six. You need to kill the first 3 bosses to be able to summon it.

Strange in my SWTOR (Circa, October-November 2014) The Dread Masters do not move their mouths......Must have been a glitch.
+cripplehawk No, Bioware purposely put that on us, but soon realized we looked badass when our eyes didn't flinch and our mouths didn't move.
indeed,their masks are solid gold and steel,enchanted with dark powers. The only reason you see their masks move their mouths in the end of denova (explosive conflict) ,is beacuse they appear as an illusion in a way,others only see their masks move in that scene (similiar to the effect scarecrow did with his fear gas in the old batman movies)

Oh trust me, I know: even though Luke has had his fair share of failures in the EU, it's still fairly widely held that since the end of Return of the Jedi, Luke had become one of the strongest (if not the strongest) jedi in history. The JK in SWTOR had his victory handed to him, and that's what irks me: the JK was intended from the beginning to parallel Luke, but it hardly seems heroic when you fight the Emperor at only the smallest fraction of his real power.
At least that Luke didn't give up and the jedi must end, unlike that pussy in TLJ

I would like to point out that in the JK story, you don't actually kill the emperor. It is only the voice of the emperor. The Jedi Knight didn't actually do any good or any bad to the war effort. So, no, Bioware has not shit all over the lore, at all.

+Jevon Hilton Because it is based on MMO mechanics, there's not enough buttons on a controller for the game to function as it is and you're super restricted to what you can and cannot do because of it. You cannot customize your class and skills like the KotOR games and you pick a specific combat role that you can't change. And online servers for consoles at the time of creation would not have been able to handle it regardless. Some servers barely handle nowadays.
ArynosValinir but I played Final Fantasy online, even though I don't have it anymore, but that game was also a MMO/RPG, what sucks though is that I couldn't pay a subscription fee
Just because it is doesn't mean it has the same mechanics, engine and player-base amount. SWtOR has way more buttons and necessary abilities and functions more like a traditional MMO with a much larger amount of people per server since there are so little sivers (one point only having 3 for all of western america). Final Fantasy had/has a scroll through combat system that played more like an RPG than an strict MMO. Much less that you had to keep track of for every character (each class has at -least- 24-30 button abilities to keep track of), stats were more RPG based than MMO based and the game has controller support (SWtOR has none btw).
still, i want this game, or at least something like it, I haven't seen a good Star Wars in a while, while there is Battlefront, I want an actual good Star Wars game with light saber battles that are fluid, don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining, but dang it, let's be honest here, Star Wars 1313 looked really good and I'm not sure that they cancelled it or not

Like if you think the Dread Masters are the dark side resurrection of the Jedi Council Palpatine killed in his chamber. George Lucas gave overwhelming clues to back it up.

I looked it up, it's not what I thought it was. They are the dark side embodiment of those Jedi Masters but the story is roughly that their spirits have, somehow in the cosmic plane of the Dark Side, travelled back in time to possess those characters.
Look them up, they're not hard to find. The idea is that their force ghosts were sucked into the maelstrom of the dark side and were regurgitated almost 4000 years previously. It's in the book.

Just to reinforce your point, Luke didn't even kill Palpatine, and he wasn't the true Emperor. Luke was supposed to be extraordinarily gifted in the force, and in the EU it's mentioned once or twice that he may well have been the strongest jedi ever to exist. For Bioware to then go and stomp on not only their own lore, but the lore of other writers and Lucas himself by making such a hackneyed and cliche "knight in shining armor" character like the JK is just downright pathetic storytelling.

That actually would have been better than the JK Story. Sorry dude. I loved the story when it was Luke Skywalker back in Episode 4-6 but it has just gotten so tired. From the movies, to the video games it is just TOO MUCH.
Jedi Knights either single handedly save the fucking galaxy, or they destroy it. At least with Consulars they break the narrative.
I wouldn't necessarily say the consular story was bad. It dragged a little in the second act but I thought it was very well done.
The Jedi Knight Story though... now THERE is a crap story. It is your standard-typical lazy ass Jedi saves the galaxy by him/herself. VERY predictable.
