Dont forget alot of Nigerians make it into the law faculty when they have connection even when they werent qualified or merit it to begin with.. I witnessed it first hand.

      Sorry about your experience.
I always advise students to apply to reputable Federal Universities like UI, etc. Admission is by merit.
Wishing you a happy new year.

Law school is only required if you want to be a practicing lawyer. You do not need to go to Law School if you do not want to practice as a lawyer. People like Jide Obi, Chris Okotie and others are trained lawyers, but because they did not want to practice as lawyers, they skipped the "Law School".

So what is the essence of studying law in sch and you don’t go to law sch? I see it as a waste of time.

@@AyebakuroTech Well, some Law graduands end up not practicing law. For example, they may pick interest in Tech, Finance, etc.
A typical case of most Nigerian graduates not practicing what they studied in school.

      Hello Juliet,
Studying any of the courses at the university is expensive, especially for a course like Law where you will have to get the necessary textbooks.
But, it is not a limitation. There is always a way out as you can borrow textbooks and materials, even start a business in school.
You will be able to survive as long as you sponsors can take care of your school fees, feeding and accommodation.
I hope I have answered your question.

Law is a rewarding field with the potential for significant financial success, but it's important to understand that it takes time, dedication, and hard work to achieve that success.
Being a Lawyer in Nigeria is not an automatic ticket to success. But, I can tell you're studying one of the best courses out there.
Focus on your academics and try to find the area you love about the profession and how to become successful.
Let me know if you have further questions. I wish you all the best in your academics.
