This is a scene that was aired on 21st January 2009 and features KARR.
See the chase, fight between KITT and KARR and you also get to see Alex Torres' death scene.
The voice of Karr is that of Peter Cullen the voice of Optimus Prime in Transformers and KITT is the voice of Val Kilmer
Peter Cullen was also the voice of Venger in the classic cartoon of Dungeons and Dragons as well as Eeyore in Winnie the Pooh. LOL

He was the original voice of KARR in the 1982 Knight Rider series.

very true. This should could have been amazing if they kept things simple, the cars look great, but as soon as you have one of them turn into a giant robot, you know you're going over the top. I refuse to believe that this is what today's audience wants to see, and I can safely say it isn't what we - fans of the former Knight Rider show - were waiting for.
Honestly I don't know what the thinking behind this trash is. Keep adding more stupid stuff what's next? Aliens, intergalactic travel, dinosaurs, yes let's stuff all of that into the show, because having a coherent and simple story with good engaging arc is such a crime.

Wow. They kind of made the transformers reference obvious with the Peter Cullen sounding K.A.R.R. and then you've got the transforming capabilities. Pretty transformers there.
I thought the fight was too short at first but after watching this ep again a few times, it was pretty good for being on a tv budget. The few episodes before this one were pretty good too. Real chase scenes and the stories were pretty decent. Tonights bank robbery one wasn't too great but had some decent moments. Kinda feels like the old show again.
KITT must be stopped, no matter the cost.

Because ,in the military,Michael as been used in a project (KARR program)
I'm watching the 80s series once again while I also watch the new series...
I love em both...many episodes of the new give you the feeling that the old series did (from the 3rd episode and forward).
I also love the connection and conversations among Kitt and Mike...like the old ones...Michael Knight was trying to make him understand things like feelings,sarcasm,humor etc.
After I watch a new episode.I'm watching 2 from the old series :)

Kitt can do this? Both cars have the same characteristics but the difference between the two is good and bad

i was replying to WreckZ28, hoff was on craig fergason saying it wont do well without him, and he said on KRO that its gone the wrong direction, hes been pushing for a reboot for years and all they gave him was a freakin cameo!

KARR is sickk and KITT is awesome in the new series so I think that both of them are sweet. Just everything that they are equipped with makes the show so worthwhile to watch and that why I look forward to every new episode that comes out.

This show was great.
The Knight Rider (that is Michael, not the car) is much more present in the new show and delivers some pretty good sequences of bot fun and action. The car is cool and the vfx quality is far beyond those of regulart tv shows. More? Karr is a giant robot, Kilmer and Cullen doing the voices and the death of two series regular (and I will miss Graiman)... This show is just great!

Not just the caliber of the bullets from KARR but punches too. He was knocking kitt all over the place like a toy. Imagine what those blows do to regular vehicles or armored ones even.
Unfortunately he is dead. You havnt got many episodes left until your up to this one. It was the big shake up that Knight Rider took. Thats why you'll see a major difference in the show soon
they didn't only KARR is and they kill him off early. BTW the new show is made to look good to today's audience, transformers is a popular movie

Lol, nothing says cheesy like picking THE voice of Transformers for a Transforming car. Geez. I doubt it's irony that the KARR is a transforming Ford Mustang clone (like Barricade, the Decepticon Saleen 281 in TF 2007)
And did anyone else notice that Mike says "Turbo Boost now!" and they are already in the air crashing through KARR? Besides, I thought KITT had to be in Attack Mode to do Turbo Boost.

I don't understand why the Foundation thought it would be smart to recover KARR's CPU from the wreckage after Micheal Knight and the 2000 KITT destroyed him after the chaos KARR caused before.

So this KARR basically gets destroyed the same way original KARR got destroyed. With KITT Turbo Boosting into him.
I love the 2008 series of Knight Rider and I also love the original '80s show. But I believe that the fight scene between KARR and KITT could have been, and should have been, a lot longer and more intense, I was very excited to hear that KARR was appearing in an episode and although the episode was really great, the final fight scene was a disappointment.

heh that cuz it is! Only this time...he's pissed off! Indeed...the same actor who voiced Optimus Prime provided the voice for KARR in the 09 series. Interestingly enough he was also used in the original series to voice KARR back then too!

That's because his voice is Peter Cullen, voice of Optimus Prime in G1 and the Bay movies Transformers.
But more appropriately for Knight Rider, he voiced KARR in his first appearance in the 80s series too.
Peter Cullen is one of most famous voice actors in modern times.
Since when did Knight Rider turn into a sinister robot show? K.A.R.R. turning into a transformer-like robot doesn't suit the whole KN concept. I know they want to follow modern times, but this is nuts.

I think season two has been commisioned,im sure i read it somewhere on the net.I agree,there was so much more they could have done with KARR,but he did come back from the dead in the old series,so who knows!!

In the original 80's series I wish KARR apeared in another 2 or 3 episode before the series was cancelled! It is nice to see KARR back and Peter Cullen do the voice again but it is extreme overkill to have KARR as a Decepticon Transformer! I wonder if it is the original KARR, remember after KITT Vs. KARR, KARR's cpu was still intact after it's destruction!

LOL, might as well have called KARR Barricade, since Barricade was a Saleen 281 (Mustang) Decepticon, only now he got Cullen's voice and a more silly robot mode. Yes Mike Tracer is Michael Knight's son. David Hasslehoff reprised his role as Michael Knight in the pilot episode
