    Hello guys,
I am Federico from Italy. First of all, thank you for the videos and drive: thanks to them I think I did in two weeks what I otherwise would have done in a month. So sincerely, thank you. Apart from that, I am just a little bit concerned over the “due date” for applications. I have just applied for the summer internship and I did not have any problem. Also, BGCers that came to my university in December told us that those kind of positions are opened all the year and suggested us to apply three months before we were available to start. I don’t know if this is valid only for Italy, but still just for you to know it!

During the pandemics, what aspect of the internship that changes compared to the Pre-Covid internship? How the pandemic changes the consultant work? At Bain, what the difference of the role and day-to-day life as Associate Consultant vs Consultant?

Just wanna let you know man, you're doing god's work for people like me who want to get into management consulting. Really appreciate your work.
Now, apart from MBBs could you also, if possible, collaborate with people from firms like Kearney, Oliver Wyman etc. A brief look into other consulting firms will also be really helpful when assessing the options.

Yea totally, that's a great idea! We'll definitely make sure to bring in other people from those firms to give y'all a good idea what they are like

thank you for enlightening Neel. Really appreciate your effort.
I wonder if you're aware of these internships being available to students in non-MBA Master's ?

    • @neelandrohit6490
      @neelandrohit6490  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Yep, they totally are. I think I even mention that in the video - that normal undergraduate internships are also fair game for those in non-MBA master's programs.
For example, if I was in my 1st year of a 2 year CS Master's program, I could apply to MBB internships (since, after the internship, I'd still have 1 year of schooling left).
      Hope this helps!

@@neelandrohit6490 thank you for replying Neel. I was under the impression that non-MBA grads aren't considered for these internships and they can only join as lateral hires after some experience in their domain. thanks to your insight, I have a better view of the situation.
looking forward to more content. all the best 🙏

Is my chance of getting an consulting internship a zero if I apply during my senior yr in uni? I’m currently a junior but it sounds like I’m already late to apply for summer this yr.

It totally depends on what firms you apply to and what region of the world you are in!
If you're in the US and applying to the Big 3, I'd assume that their recruiting cycles are closed (but it's still always worth checking their website or potentially reaching out to recruiters). But if you're looking into other consulting firms (like the Big 4 or more boutique firms), then there definitely could still be a chance!

@@neelandrohit6490 thank you very much for the response! Do u guys know any boutique/smaller consulting firms out there? I don’t really know any other than the bigger ones.

    • @neelandrohit6490

@@harryfeng4199 There are tons out there man, but like I mentioned earlier, it depends on where in the world you are. And I think when it comes to the smaller boutique firms, they also specialize more, so you'll want to search based on your industry interests (assuming you have any, which I don't think I did when I was a junior).
Let's say you live in Denver, Colorado and are interested in Healthcare, I'd literally start by Google searching "Healthcare consulting firms in Denver" or something like that. That might seem quite simple, but just wanted to give you a really specific example of what I'd go about doing if I were in your shoes. And then from there, try both applying to jobs online and use the info in my "How to Network" video to find and reach out to people within those firms.
I'd also recommend visiting your school's career center as they'd have a better idea of any consulting firms that could be hiring / have hired in and around your university
      Hope this helps!
