Every one is saying that vash ending was more realiastic but I think shaitaan's ending was also realistic, it is not mandatory that this type of a story always needs dark ending it could be different and happier also in parallel universe, by the way both are stunning movies no comparison.
I agree with you but since it was a horror movie so I think vash ending was better in conveying that horror while in shaitaan everything went back to normal

9:29Kabir was not tracking Janhvi's phone. He was tracking Vanraj's phone. There were 3 plot points here -
1) Kabir was very good in sneakingly learn people's passwords(evident from how he knew his children's and he saw vanraj opening his phone in the dhaba)
2) He didn't have any access to phone, so he sent the live location of vanraj's phone by unlocking it and sending it to someone who had it,
3) The watchman/caretaker was on leave.Kabir knew where his watchmen lived, so he first rushed to his home, then took his bike and phone, where Vanraj's location was being traced and then followed vanraj.

Yesterday I went to watch the movie in the theatre and I was expecting the same ending as Vash and was feeling sad but I was so so happy to see that they changed the ending!
To be very Honest… I love the Shaitaan’s ending more. I prefer happy endings over traumatising ones.
It depends on u cz if u see by my side shaitan me vanraj ko suffering dene ka koi reason nhi Diya jata humko Jo Vash me clear tha ki aarya was suffering too.
@@jainammaniyar I agree! We all have our own views! Also, in my POV, Vanraj deserved the ending. As a parent, Kabir did what any parent would do with Vanraj. He tortured the whole family! Almost killed his son and he made his children suffer so much! Kabir felt so helpless, he couldn’t do anything in the beginning to save his daughter from all the suffering. Also, there were so many innocent girls who have been suffering for a long time so its like, Kabir not only took revenge for his family but also he did it on behalf of everyone whom Vanraj had ever tortured! So that’s why I loved the movies ending and that’s my POV! 😁
My POV: Also, just because his family got saved at the end doesn’t mean he would leave him to die just like that! He gave the taste of his own medicine or maybe even better because as a father, Kabir took the decision to put him through all the pain he had given to his daughter and his family!

Tortures and almost killed her numerous times, almost murdered his son by his own daughter. If you place yourself in Ajay's place, you'll realise that night was like a night in hell. @madhushriparab1409 i think the reasoning behind the actions of the villain was fleshed out better in shaitaan.
While I agree but at the same time, a tragic ending would have been far more risky for a film made on a bigger scale for a bigger universal audience....Also when you see a familiar hero like Ajay Devgn, you as an audience would want the hero to triumph over evil....while Vash ending makes more sense on paper, for the Hindi version, the Shaitaan ending was more suitable...
a typical 'happy ending' like every other generic bollywood movie. that's one of the reasons why i liked the gujrati film more than this bollywood version. but i have to appreciate R. Madhavan and Janki's acting in this film.

But shaatan didn't make sense. Why did he need the parents permission to take jhanvi away so that she doesn't remember her parents in the near future but he was about to sacrifice her as his last victim immediately after acquiring power over her. This made sense in vaash because the antagonist there kept those girls under his spell and didn't sacrifice them

I watched this movie in theatre yesterday and dude you'll get chills, it's not "scary" it's just so creepy, overall enjoyable
i can see why they choose this ending to please a wider audience, because if they choose the original ending it would have made the audience leaves the feeling of emptiness (just talking about the majority) since majority of people prefer everything ends well but personally the original ending would have made more impact to me

Okay I get that Vash’s ending is more realistic and villain’s suffering at the end makes sense but Shaitaan’s ending gave that comfort which was missing after watching Vash and I personally like happy endings 😪

I like Shaitaan's ending more...it is more family oriented ending where dad is capable to protect his family...giving some hope to other dads...Also, in the original version -how can a dad put scissors in his own daughter's ears..that was painful to me..too much dramatic for me to digest..The family should have put Wireless Earphone in her ears with loud music then all this won't hv happened progressively.!...this is just my viewpoint.

I haven't watched Vash but its ending seems pretty realistic, while Shaitaan was little more dramatic. However, Shaitaan was also not bad because Maddy and that girl saved the film with their acting.

Unique, Sad and shocking ending of Vash was much better like how David Fincher's Se7en was ended. That made Vash better and more gory/brutal experience than Shaitaan tbh 🔥.
