  • Hello! I'm Tina, I run 'Made with April' with my dog, April! Recently I've been struggling a bit with TH-cam - I feel the need to post according to a 1/week schedule because that's what many TH-camrs do but some weeks I'm able to film a lot of content, and in other weeks I don't have much of anything at all.
    I don't want it to feel like a chore, and as much as I want to stick to a consistent schedule for 'the algorithm' and the analytics to look good - I think for a brief period I will trial just posting whenever I want! As always, thank you for watching!

    You are doing a great job! I am a crocheter too but mainly make amigurumi dolls but you have inspired me to make some flowers. I have been searching for things to make that is quick and has a lower price point for "sellability". But flowers is so time consuming too! I don't know how you make so many! Keep up the good work!

    Do you prefer to wrap the wire in yarn still or do you opt for floral tape?

    Hey Tina! I'm sorry if you already answered this in any other video but what are some of the flower patterns you use? Some of the places I've been learning how to make these flowers on YT don't have the greatest instructions especially for assembly which I'm struggling the most with. What glue are you using if any and how are you assembling your flowers so they are sturdy and neat looking? I've already bought a few products like TOXIC gorilla fabric glue (which I don't like using) a tack glue that rarely works, floral wire and tape of all kinds lol it's a disaster and it looks messy.

      HI! I have my own patterns on my etsy! I use regular hot glue and I find it's the best and easiest to use. I used tape before and it worked as well but it didn't look as clean and seamless as hot glue does. The only thing is that sometimes if you use too big of a blob of hot glue it becomes really apparent and isn't as pretty.

    What kind of tape do you use? regular scotch tape doesn't stick to the parchment well.

    • @madewithapril
      @madewithapril  ปีที่แล้ว

      I use super sticky tape and paper tape! If it doesn't stick super well, the string that I wrap around it secures it too!

    What size hook do you use with worsted weight (s4) yarn? Mine flowers always ends up to heavy for the 22 gage wire.

    • @madewithapril
      @madewithapril  ปีที่แล้ว

      I use 2.5mm to 4mm depending on what type of flower I'm making! 22gauge is good for petals/protrusions but 16gauge or thicker is needed for the stems!
