The Numbers: Could an election make sense for the NDP?

- This week, we assess the pros and the cons of an election for the New Democrats as Jagmeet Singh mulls whether or not to support the Liberal budget. We also chat about an upset PC victory in a Newfoundland and Labrador byelection as well as another poll showing the B.C. Conservatives on the move. We answer listener questions, including whether there is a Joe Manchin-style riding in the House of Commons, and Philippe is put to the test with a Quiz about past busy electoral calendars.

Jagmeet has been a terrible MP who is trying to secure his generous undeserved pensions. He reminds me of a Union leader from the 3rd world - all hype, rhetoric and exploiting people’s emotions.
jagmeet knows he is going to lose leadership position, but wants to leave with his pension, so therefore we have to wait
Why does that even matter? Even if Singh loses the election or more NDP seats he will easily win his own seat. Your outrage should be directed at Poilievre who is a career politcian since 2004 and got his lifetime MP pension vested by age 31.😂😂
@@Sam19509Jagmeet doesn’t deserve the pensions. He has been a terrible MP. He has abandoned his riding and prefers showing off his rolex watches and 40k gifted chairs.
@@libshastra clearly his constituents don’t think that. Poilievre is the worst MP he is never in his riding he would rather sleep on his taxpayer funded bed in his taxpayer funded mansion. Even Trudeau regularly visits his Papineau riding in Quebec. Poilievre’s riding is in Ottawa where I live and I never ever see him.
@@Sam19509 Why would he waste time on dumb ones.
The NDP will vote for this budget and than start to distance itself from the Liberals, just look at the carbon tax for an example. They need to break from the coalition by Fall sitting to set up the election in 2025.
Eby might be "popular" but his government has had a horrible 2024 to date. They could win one more mandate but at this point it will only be one more mandate.
I don’t think Singh will break his deal formally with the Liberals till people start getting their free diabetes and birth control medications. Then Poilievre will look like the cold hearted prick that he really is trying to take insulin away from diabetics and stopping to prevent unwanted pregnancy for women.
It is sick that our parliament is able to get away with voting for personal financial gain to the detriment of the country. Canada needs an election now.
Jagmeet will not end this sitting until he secures his pension for life.
What is this assumption based on?

@@Sam19509 just realized you are either a bot or ndp supporter.. lmao you keep posting same shit .. ndp will dump singh.. as leader
But Canada wants the end of Singh/Trudeau.
As an Islander, Philippe how could you lol
For many years, Ralph Goodale's riding would have been a Manchin riding
Pierre poilievre is obnoxious
Yeah, you can tell. He thought making the people pay millions, so the leaders can preach and preen is a bad idea, sure shows obnoxious 😂. Thats what obnoxious is right? Fiscally responsible?
I wish Trudeau would become obnoxious and stop his narcissistic personality!😂
