@@TsukiCoveHave you heard of the feral cattle in Gila National Forest? It’s been so notorious that there’s an aerial hunting operation to eradicate them.
@@TsukiCove I’ve found it’s usually the hornless breeds that are most aggressive. I’ve be charged by many cows that have absent or small horns yet I’ve been around horned breeds like highland cattle and not been charged
We in the uk have the right to roam any land be that mountains, moors, heaths and downs, even if they are privately owned. It also includes common land registered with the local council and some land around the King , Charles III England Coast Path. Lots of Cow fields are accessible by the general public and are totally safe as long as people use common sense
I was walking in northern Spain and suddenly felt the need to lie down in the grass. Suddenly a herd of cows was around me. I opened my eyes and saw legs and udders. One started licking my head. The grassy smell was very grassy. The farmer walked by and asked if I was OK. I gave a thumbs up. It was truly lovely. I was doing a lot of meditation at the time and in the back of my mind I knew I could be trampled but I was calm and I consider it one of the most profound potentially death bed memories I could have.
Love the video! Some other interesting examples of deadly “non-threatening” animals: Thomas Jefferson kept a British ram that injured multiple people and killed one boy before it was put down. I’m pretty sure there was a case of a beaver (it might have been a muskrat) that killed a man when he bit him in the femoral artery, after the man tried to handle it. My grandpa was killed by a cow when it kicked a heavy trailer door that swung and knocked him over with such force that he hit his head on the concrete and subsequently died of his injuries
When you think of how domestic animals get treated, it's amazing that more of them don't injure humans. Isn't it odd how many people are terrified of the idea of (reintroducing) wolves, but don't realise just how many people get killed and injured by pet dogs? There are few, if any corroborated records of people being killed by wolves, but worldwide, dogs kill hundreds of people, every year.
I know in North America a lot of people get injured by buffalos because some people do not keep their distance thinking they're just big cows. I don't know if a lot of people get killed though?
Male hoof stock can often suffer from berzerker syndrome which makes them unreasonably aggressive to people. Often times this is due to intact males that have been hand raised by people. Happens in llamas and sheep a lot.
I have some distant cousins nearby who are farmers. The then four year old daughter decided to visit a calf without Mommy and Daddy, and ended up being taken to the hospital in a helicopter for some reason- well, momma cow protected her calf. She was fine, so I don't get why she was airlifted out. She's an adult now, and volunteer firefighter, so no permenant damage.
I really, really appreciate you talking about rats in such a way. They are absolutely gentle and sweet creatures, and only attack out of fear and survival. The intense hatred and blame on them is devastating, considering most of their huge populations - like in New York - are entirely the fault of humans and our own filthiness. We are absolutely no better than rats in many cases. The two I have are remarkably loving and intelligent, and many have found that even wild street rats can be loving and gentle when rescued. Thank you for diminishing myths and exaggerations about rats, it means so much to me as someone who adores animals.
I worked on a farm as a kid and we had this one stinky Ram called Benson who’d have a whole field to himself, the second you enter the gate normally when he needed something or you’d be putting him in for the night he’d know instantly and bolt straight for that person and try and Head butt the living shit out of them, he could be half a mile away he’d still make a beeline to hurt the person
Yep. We can always be killed by just about anything in our surrounding area. But you don't really expect it from some animals that we surround ourselves with. And technically it was the FLEAS on the rats that spread "the black death". Of course whatever was in the rat is what the flea spread. Hmm.🤔 I guess it's kind of like "what came first chicken or egg?" LOL 😆.
You already seem to know that a video like this will increase fear of random animals, saying it shouldn't won't help. Also... Many animals are instinctually afraid of rats and mice. INSTINCTUALLY.
It's an absolute pity that people are foolish enough to become fearful of animals like this, and it shouldn't be blamed on the video creator. Any animal on this planet is capable of killing you. Rats are just trying to survive like every other animal, and most animals are likely only 'instinctively' afraid because there is such a high population that they've likely come across a rat before. As Tsuki said, it is the fault of humans that rats are everywhere, because we're filthy buggers.
Then watch the 2006 film Black Sheep. It's about meat-eating, killer sheep that have been genetically modified, and their bites turn people into sheeplike monsters!
In the UK, cows can be killers. As with most things, it is people walking in fields with cows and calf. Usually they are a very gentle animal
yeah i've heard a few stories about killer cows, especially involving the wilder breeds with long horns

How could those doctors know that the man suffereing from a disease after being bitten by a rat was suffering from rat-bite disease. How unexpected.

On the subject of surprising animals, can you please do a list of the most endangered feared and misunderstood creatures?

Always nice to see your woofy at the end of your videos ❤

My takeaway from this is that more people have been killed by sheep than by wild orca whales and lynx.
Hey NaturesTemper good to see you on here

I enjoy all of your videos but my favorite part is seeing Arnie at the end.
Sheep?!
This is all interesting information especially about sheep and whales
“There’s always rats Nidge”
OMG I never considered that Wombles could be killers 😱
How did they not think that the guy bitten by a rat might be suffering from the sickness named after rat bites😢
Some mice and rats are indigenous to the Americas.

Sheep dangerous
I eat sheep therefore me more dangerous.

Third
Angry ram is dangerous.
The most dangerous of animals…a clever sheep.
