I found my to-be-wife trapped in a crashed car 25 years ago by a chance drive pass in my friends car, she was unconscious and bleeding badly. It was a battle to keep her breathing whilst an ambulance was called. After phoning the hospital later she was in intensive care diagnosed with brain injury and multiple injuries. She recovered despite mental impairment. 12 months later we met after she sent me a thank you letter for helping on that awful night. We went on to get married and have children.

@@ConnieRiet thanks Connie. I knew the moment I met her she was gorgeous and so lovely and kind. Surgeons repaired her facial damage to me she is beautiful and I loved her. Her brain injury meant she couldn’t work anymore or drive a car but that didn’t matter so I was her carer and husband which I enjoyed every minute of it. 4 years ago her previously in remission cancer returned stage 4 terminal we threw everything at to fight it I so so wanted her to live. Sadly my wife passed away 18 months ago and I’m heartbroken 💔

Thank you for this video. Five years ago an illness which left me weak also gave me small brain seizures which took some of my memory. I have gotten some of them back, but I am not the same person. It took me years to move through the grief and mindfulness practice helps so much. I am still working through knowing myself and it is difficult some days, having tools and practicing them regularly, even on the “good” days does help.
Thank you for this video. You articulated what I went through and still, at times, go through so well.

Dear Linda, I'm terribly sorry to hear of your cancer news. I share with my brain injury clients, "our bodies do not heal when we are stressed." During this time of healing, your body needs all the help it can get. Find things that bring you joy, and absorb yourself in them. On my really low days, I watch Andy Griffith Show. It makes me laugh.

Happiness is within. For me happiness is when I decide to love and care MySelf. Happiness is when I share something to other like my family. Happiness when I apply detachment from any outcome of what I do. Happiness for me is when I don't expect from others what they can give or offer to me. Happiness is when I am no longer expect from others, being contentment of what I am enjoying now. And when I apply the Art of Letting Go and tolerance and I become happy.
When I decide to value life then I started to enjoy life more.I appreciate nature more.

Have you ever heard of Byron Katie? Her book "Loving What is" is about working with your stressful thoughts. It's an amazingly simple process of 4 questions and a turnaround and similar to what you are talking about in your video. Love your channel. Thank you for sharing your kind caring way with us.

Amazing. Just have to say hi because I found The Work of Byron Katie 27+ years ago. It was a game changer for me in my early 30's and has remained foundational.
