B cell is permissive for both while K12 cell are restrictive for recombinant therefore the number will already be low..

Maam I've a simple question.
rII + phage can grow both in B cells and K cells, whereas rII - can grow only in B cells. What if we introduce two different mutants in k cells, with mutation in two different genes and they undergo recombination and produce a strain with two normal genes say A and B. Will they be able to grow then??

For your question I will try to focus on some points:
1) For specific (same) gene it has been discussed at 43 min onward
2) Yeah... for two different gene you can go for complementation test as well (Product of A and B should participate in lysis) as Sir Seymour did. Why to go for high MOI and recombination
3) Mutational aspect must also be kept in mind of mutants, once u said mutation in two different genes and producing normal genes? (Cis / trans??)
4) Finally if they produced normal genes (normal product for lysis) they will grow
