    Compromised service users safety ..no bed rails ...also you wont get a service user who can easily roll for you disabilities etc.or may be too nervous/anxious too ... So therefore will need another carer to complete task & stand either side of the bed..& bed should then be the height of the smallest person...

      If you were using a sling for a "service user" (no idea what that means), then you would probably be using a repositioning sling to turn. If that was the case (provided there were side rails-totally agree with you). The manufacturer has no recommendation as to the number of staffrequired for care, it would depend on situation. In many home care situations, the person (service user?) could position a sling under themselves, lift themselves up to transfer to w/c, commode of toilet thus increasing a person's independence, not relying on home care staff.
