thanks for putting in the time to make your videos. some don't think Positive Ion Control works but I do. that is why I would never change the cable on a cannon I have put cameras on the downrigger balls also I have a garmin live scope fishfinder and I see kokanee go to the cable first, stop, then to the dodger. but that only works when you have short setbacks. on the Shuttle Hawk I get rid of the red clip

What brand of jacket are wearing? I like the crayfish on it. I trap crayfish in Idaho and use Crayster products and your jacket logo would go good together Thanks
I generally run my back ones deeper. I use the same size ball (6lb) on all of them. I have found that trolling around 1.5 mph and down to about 60 ft that size works well. If you haven’t seen it check out my “no downrigger no problem” video and I show how I run 6 poles at a time with 2 of them on clip weights. Quite frankly, i don't know how much truth is in it but my experience is that fish seem to be attracted to the noise or vibration that wires make while underway.
I honestly can not believe how expensive down riggers are for what they do, I want to get some for salmon fishing but jesus christ they are insanely expensive

@@KokaneeAddictFishing thank you, I will be watching the video, is there a way to estimate a certain weight for instance, the lake We have salmon in North Dakota is Lake Sakakawea, where the salmon are varies from like 60 Feet all the way to 160 feet+ is it possible to get down 90+ feet with snap weights and not to overload the rod with lets say 8 ounces of weight? While trolling 1.5 Mph+?? Long question but if anyone has any input please respond Id like to know.
@@BashSchroeder The deeper you're trying to go, the more variability you're going to get in "actual" depth based off estimation charts. A difference in 0.1mph will make feet of difference in depth. You'll also have a lot of line out to get that deep because of blowback. Your best bet (if you're able) is to have someone with another boat go along and watch their graph to see how deep you're running with various weights, speeds, and line out.

What do you do with the rubber band on the shuttle hawk ?
One it’s hooked on the downrigger cable I put a rubber band around the shuttle hawk to keep it from accidentally coming off the cable.
You don't get the auto stop when you switch to braid on the electric downriggers.
