I ain't kpop theorist but this is what fans said on twitter that the song is based of a children's book called "Imogene's Antlers". Here's a summary of the book. murdockbooks.blogspot.com/2011/02/imogenes-antlers.html
The one thing that stood out to me from the summary is the theme is ACCEPTANCE & HAVING THE PATIENCE TO DEAL WITH PERSONAL DIFFERENCES.

The beeping noise is Morse code! It spells "CROWN" (thank you B. D. L •). I didn't know I was going to like them as much as I do tbh, they seemed too young and poppy for me, and then I watched and heard Crown and now I am absolutely hooked. I will support them until I die.
Also, the only non 100% Korean member is Huening Kai, he is a mix of Korean, American, German, and Brazilian. 😂 He is multilingual and plays several instruments.
He is also part Chinese LOL

As far as i know he's not american at all. Apparently his fathet is brazillian (of German decent) and his mum is Korean but they lived in China.

You were right about not all the members being fully Korean, Hueningkai, the maknae is half Korean half American, he is also German, Polish and Scottish from his father's side. He speaks Korean, English, Portuguese and Mandarin 😊
His father was actually born in Brazil in a German family so Kai is half Brazilian even tho he was born in the USA
Giulia Bressani I just read an article that stated his “American father of German descent was born in Brazil, then moved to China before meeting & marrying Kai’s korean mum before moving to Hawaii” 🤷🏽♀️😅 at this stage who knows. Although, doesn’t really matter 🌸

This song is so catchy! And also you can see the "big hit" dancing with many and fast moves... and I totally agree they have a specific charisma which feels very fresh. If I didn't know they were rookies I would've never noticed!
I love their debut so much. they feel like a completely different entity to bts but they somehow have a big hit vibe. They are in fact very young boys and this cute concept is very suitable. I don’t even usually like cute concepts but they are pretty charming

yeah soobin reminds me of minhyuk, yeonjun for some reason reminds me of eric nam too, and beomgyu's side profile also reminds me of nex7's/nine percent's zhu zhengting

I didn't expect to like this song so much after hearing the teaser but it just isn't getting old. I find TXT's vibe very different from BTS'; not surprisingly, BigHit isn't that foolish. Some argue that TXT is similar to a few current boys groups, but when is that not the case anytime a new group debuts? It will come down to who an individual prefers. I personally prefer TXT right now. They managed to make this young concept pleasing for me because I typically don't like it. Yay for TXT.
Same! I honestly thought that I'd be underwhelmed by this group. It looked like another cute concept and meh. Such low expectations. And then when I heard the sample the only song I liked was the ballad one. When this music video came out I was so surprised by how much i loved it! The song, the camera angles, the entire music video just blew me away
It was really really good...i loved it....and the album is really good too....tbh i feared they would debut with too cutesy or childish song like the chewing gum song by nct dream.....but this was so youthful and refreshing. And in their interview they said that byeomgyu and hyuning kai who r 16 are already composing and writing for their next album.
Kai is kind of a musical genius apparently, he can play like 5 instruments. he probably has perfect pitch :D

Its nice and unique, with the animal horns and stuff. And yeah people should stop comparing them to BTS. Did they want TXT to have the exact same concept as BTS or something?! They have their own style and I like it. Beomgyu did say he was studying to write music so we just have to give them a bit of time.

Coming back to this after Eternally to revisit the Matrix references... with hindsight, we can confirm that those references were definitely intentional. TXT is fully developing a coming-of-age story based on portal fantasy and multiple realities.. and while there are more horror elements to the MVs now, I think these Matrix references show a latent darkness and a mature and referential approach to storytelling from the onset of the TU.

I didn’t really have any expectations going in tbh but I was pleasantly surprised. The song is pretty good and the mv was really well done. it definitely had sm level production quality and kinda felt like something they could’ve given nct dream. I also like how they went for a more age appropriate concept (unlike some of the groups out rn hip thrusting and shit when they average like 15. Lol)
Also the guy you said looks familiar kinda reminds me of a young seo in guk idk why
To me it feels like a save song to debut with, very kpopy, it reminds me of songs I like from Seventeen.
I like the story Crown tells, its very sweet and heartwarming, though I dont like how people degrade them to being some sort of BTS-Spin off trying to connect storys, I´m sure BH will through in Easter-Eggs to for people who follow both, but I delive they´ll respect them enoght as individuel artists to let each have their own story to tell, so just because we have the symbol like wings, which is a veeeery popular symbol or the angle a popular charactar, its sad that its emediatly seen as "Oh thats BTS" and TXT cant be seen as an "stand alone group"/story ....
Soo many mixed emotions on this whole thing, but I enjoyed their MV, and will be a casual listener for sure!

All I could think was that it sounds so much like Seventeen - Don't Wanna Cry. I don't even listen to Seventeen, but that song is really recognizable. And then I saw there are tons of mashup videos for the songs and yeah... I guess a lot of people thought the same.
Yess you mentioned the 80s drums!! The production choices on this song are brilliant and really elevate the track. And I gasped when you pointed out the Matrix reference! This MV may looks pretty straight-forward but it actually packs a lot, wow.

well, what you said about the horns and the crown and how the boy eventually found someone who is "the same" is completely what the story is about. they had their debut show yesterday and mnet uploaded the part with the story/origin for the song. you may or may not already checked it out.
when i saw their concept pictures i thought they were going for a retro concept. i don't know why but i thought of like 70s/80s. the clothes, the colours, and the effects, which was all included in the video as well.
the song is nice, the chroreo clean. the editing is also well done. i like it. the whole album is fine. i hope they will do well!

Their teasers suggest that they are stuck in a false reality possibly, so the matrix feel was seen in that as well by some of us.
The one with the backwards hat, Soobin looks like a mix between Minhyuk from BTOB and Sanha from Astro. That's maybe why you thought he looked familiar.

It's BH, of course there will be a storyline. As I can see after watching their MV's, they are again entertaining the alternate realities and multiverse idea and I like it. We will be trying to connect and figure things out and that's why I stan BigHit.
For now it seems like TXT is playing with Matrix like story line with a bit of Harry Potter.

4:58 This guy Huening Kai is not fully Korean and is the first foreign idol to debut under BigHit Ent. Huening Kai is Korean-American (father American mother Korean), he was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA. From his fathers side he is German, Polish, Brazilian and Scottish. He and his family lived in China for 12 years. Huening Kai speaks Mandarin, Korean, Portuguese and English fluently. Hope this helps!!

When I first watched the mv I couldn’t stop smiling. It made my happy and it’s a summer bop. The album is good, I think they played it safe for a debut so I’m excited to see them grow as artists and establish their own sound and style

I’m kind of being thrown off by the muffled audio effect at the beginning of each jump cut. For a bit I thought that you’d just had some recording problems but after a few seconds the audio clears up and I can hear you properly. I don’t know what happened with that but maybe look into it?
Anyway, I’m glad you liked their debut! I also deliberately went into this blind so that I wouldn’t put more expectation on txt’s shoulders than necessary and honestly I really love the style and concept they’re going for! Their mini album is a great sample of what we’ll probably be hearing from them in the future and they’re also really good at performing as far as I can tell. Definitely looking forward to hearing more from them in the future.
Also, to your question about the if the members are all Korean or not, apparently Huening Kai, the youngest, is Korean-American, but everyone else is full Korean
