Wow great finds Quin I found a 1943 s steel from a customer roll today, the full steps on the Jefferson nickels are a great thing

WTG Brother, I'm hunting nickles also. You found a couple I need that I cant find so far. I need that 1940D you got. But will keep hunting.. its all in the fun.
10:48 There is a rare counterfeit for this nickel. Its called the "Henning nickel" and here are the things to determine if it is real or a Henning nickel.#1 Notching in the r in plurbius.#2 Not weighing like a normal nickel. It should weigh 4.99 if it is not a Henning nickel.
I actually found a 1947 dime in a bank roll the other day just as I was starting to get discouraged. So don't give up, people. Apparently these some stuff still out there. I also found one of the 2021 WCTD quarters with the tiny die chip in the hat. Not the best of finds, but a keeper.

Most of us have to roll our hunts after searching. Gen 2 placemats should have a spot to place each coin so we know we're putting exact amounts back in. I.E. 40 blank spots for each quarter on the roll. I'll accept 5% royalties 😂
I found a 1960 do,DDR in nice shape
Earlier today I was doing a big coin hunt and I found a roll with 5 war nickels in it! 4 from 1943 and 1 from 1944 all of them from Philadelphia!

Why does the 1958 coins have a star between liberty and 1958 and not a dot like the rest of the older Jefferson coins

Silly question Quin, but why don’t you just leave the coin mat on the mintages side when you’re hunting? Great video!
I do sometimes, especially in videos like this. Although I generally like to keep it on the other side so that beginners can get an idea of what to look for by seeing the graphics.
@@QuinsCoins Oh okay, cool! Also, why is it that older Jefferson nickels with full steps are so valuable? We’re the strikes not as good on them as they are now? I’m in Canada, so I’m not as familiar with Jeffersons
@ Matthew Avery I'm not 100% sure but I think it's because that's the area that wears off the easiest.

Yeah, that’s 32,000 coins, or 16 boxes of nickels, over the course of about 3 years. That’s about how long this series has been running
