Thank you Patrick for your work & thank you for bringing a sensitive topic which I believe people of Armenia keep neglecting... As an Armenian from the Diaspora (not born in Armenia), I've been to Armenia several times and every time I use seatbelt when getting on GG or Yandex, they look at me as if I'm coming from a different planet and tell me that I don't have to put on the seat belt. Some of them don't even have properly working seatbelts. I strongly think that not only the people (including the police force) need to be educated about the statistics of car accidents visa vie driving with high speed AND/OR not using seatbelts, the municipality also needs to enforce some rules about broken or very old cars (& buses) that keep polluting the city. I hope your show will make a positive impact/difference on this topic as I love Armenia and want to see the progress of Armenia making it one of the best countries that people would want to visit. Cheers to you, to Armenia and to all Armenians throughout the world!
Often I see as many as ten patrol cars parked outside the local police station, instead of patrolling and enforcing. And on the opposite side of the street from that police station there is literally a junkyard of supposedly impounded cars which had been in accidents. This on a Main Street of Ashtarak. Similar picture in Ejmiatsin.
4:30 Headlight blinking happens all over the world. It regularly happens in the democratic West. It's not a sign of lack of police reform in armenia, it's just human nature.
They are amateurs compared to diaspora corruption. What matters is that there are people there trying to fix the issues. Meanwhile, the diaspora still has "three parties" based on what family you were raised in.

Hi, could you also suggest some reforms for the Armenian ego? I think this would allow you to live down to earth and understand your spot and value in the universe. Another valuable reform would consist in not believing in mythological ancient armenians history. Just a few tips, I would support!

You are forgetting the crux of the issue which is not the police. I have been in an accident and stopped by the police several times and their behaviour was exemplary and very professional. The issue is with our Armenian mentality of drivers. I have driven all over the western and middle Eastern world and find Armenia and Armenian drivers the worst place to drive and the worst drivers. This is a society where individualism has become the norm and the betterment of our society as a whole has vanished.
@@nichanbalian ever been driven around Tehran? That said, the way our roads are organised and maintained also contributes a lot to the safety, or lack thereof. I a talking about lack of traffic lights, lack of signs and road marking, and also things like watermelon stalls of highway lay-byes…

We also have GPS apps like Waze where you can drop pins whenever you spot police on the highway to warn the cars traveling behind you.

Buddy its called wearing a seatbelt not fasting a seatbelt...... ABUSH
You can say fasten your seatbelt.
You sound like the "abush" one writing this comment.
Very basic: wear your seatbelt, have children seat, buckle up your children! But I guess Armenians are too cool for that!
