I went to Disney on my spring break one year when I was in college. I was going on Space Mountain with my friends when I noticed the Cast member at the front's name tag said "Adam" and that he was from Cleveland. I introduced myself as Adam from Cleveland as well, and we had a chat about where in Cleveland and some hometown favorites...he then smiled and said "Adams from Cleveland don't wait in the standby line" and handed me and my friends fast passes! It was really cool!
That happen to me!! We were paying for food and my grandmother looked at the cast members name tag and it said they were from Brooklyn so my grandmother spoke in her thick New York accent and goes " your from Brooklyn? I'm from queens!" And she was just having small talks and he goes heres something sweet because you're so sweet and he gave her a cookie and 15 dollars off our bill!(there was a lot of us there!)
Loved this video! Usually all these "tips and tricks" videos say a lot of the same things but a lot of yours were different and all were very informative! Thanks!
honestly, the last one is honestly so true! in theme parks (especially universal, because we go there a lot), my nana is always super nice to workers there and they're kind back! at universal she was talking to a worker on the harry potter forbidden journey ride and i ended up getting to ride it 3 times in a row!
This applies to so many things in life. I'm a waitress, and when tables are really nice and polite I'll often slip some extra food in with their leftovers :)
I thought I was seeing things when I saw someone being rude to a cast member. I was just naïve of course, if someone is rude, they'll be rude to anyone but I couldn't believe someone would do that. And usually it's over something so minor. I told the person "you know the employees (I didn't know the term cast member yet) don't set policies right?"
These are great tips! I just finished my Disney College Program, and I didn't know some of these. Rare "training" characters also meet next to Journey into Imagination with Figment at Epcot a lot. And at the Lunching Pad at Magic Kingdom, they don't have gluten free options, so if you don't want your hot dog with a bun, they'll give you TWO HOTDOGS without buns. That's my favorite tip haha.
My childhood dream is finally coming true at the age of 28! I'm finally going to Disney World and all these tips REALLY help! I was literally taking notes. Thank you so SO much! Thank you!
I'm 14 and this will be my 75th trip to Disney World in 3 days! (my grandma is a retired cast member so we have 6 free main gate passes for life) . I'm so excited . But definitely be nice to cast member. Last month, I was standing in Stand-by for soaring and met a super nice cast member ! We talked for about thirty minutes and she gave me and my family all fast-passes ! I've had many other experiences there and omg omg omg i just love Disney! Great video!!
For wearing my birthday pin: Ohana restaurant sang me happy birthday at the character breakfast and got 3 free Mickey cupcakes. Then in magic kingdom I got many happy birthday complements from EVERYONE. The best part was (I still don't know how this happened but it did) I was getting off the haunted mansion and then a group of about 10-12 haunted mansion cast members come and ask me if I'm Andrea I say yes and they proceed to sing me happy birth day and the photo pass person takes a photo and they wanted a picture for themselves as well. Then one of them asked me if I'm allergic to anything in chocolate cake, I say no, she gives me a free Mickey birthday cake. I still have no idea how they managed to find me because they knew my name and I was turned around and just leaving the haunted mansion. Then I also wanted a hot cocoa because it was almost dark and a bit chilly so my dad was going to get me one and then while he is trying to scan his magic band to purchase it it kept on turning blue so we were confused onto why it wasn't working so he was going to pay it with the card directly and right as he pulls out his wallet the server wishes me a happy birthday and said the hot coca was on them. I said than you so much. Oh and I had left the pin on my bag the next day I went to universal. The men in black people said happy birthday to me, as I was about to tell them that it was yesterday they were already saying it thru the speakers 😂
my band went to Disney & after we marched, my friend & I went eat & we started a slight conversation with the lady that gave us our food so she gave us free cake.
The one thing (and I came here to specifically mention it, too) is that it's only for soft drinks. No juice or milk. So, if it's for your kids, the only way it's worth it is if you let your kids drink soft drinks all the time. (I'll not judge if you do 'coz it's Disney and you do lots of things at Disney you don't normally do.) I saw a lady just LOSE it at a cast member because she bought 3 or 4 of them and found out it's just for soft drinks - which she doesn't give her kids. I found it a hell of a deal because I'm over 50 and can do what I want :)
Note about souvenir cups. Although you may only be officially able to fill them in resorts, no employee will bat an eye if you fill them at any public soda fountain in the parks.
Another one about reservations I've heard is if you check between 10 & 11 the night before youre wanting a reservation it is when most reservations are cancelled
great tips !! i need to try vegan beignets omg ! also if you have a super awesome cast member, you can give them whats called a 4 keys card and it goes on their record ! (i did the college program last year and hopefully doing another one this summer!) another one - some lines have single rider lines but often you'll still end up sitting next to or near the person you're with so depending on how you feel about it, its worth the time saved !
One thing that me and my family did (my brother and I were very young at this time) when we went to the park. We would take PB&J sandwiches and eat them when we were in lines for the attractions. It would keep us from getting "Hangry" (Hungry & Angry). I recommend that you do this. Just place them in bags/ containers and put them in a bookbag. ALSO! Go from the back of the park to the front. I can explain this. Many people will start in the front of the park. If you start in the back of the park there are less lines. (shorterish maybe.)
I absolutely loved this video , in every other video you hear the same thing over and over the again and I learnt a lot of new things for this , I am going to Disney world in may and this video really helped thank you :)
I love all the behind the scenes tours. Definitely check those out. And AAA benefits/extras. If you book your trip through AAA you can get seated in a special area to watch Tinkerbell fly to the Magic Castle. Outside Tony's Italian restaurant look for the PawPrints in the pavement.
At 3:30 every day at Grand Floridian Resort Princess Promenade you do not have to be a guest to watch.Cinderella and Prince Charming descend the staircase and dance and other princesses and characters as well this varies. You ,however, cannot park at Resort unless you are a guest so monorail or shuttle in from another place.
yes be nice to cast members specially at restaurants cause they might give you free treats!!! one time my little sister and I were at hollywood studios at night and we ordered hot chocolate and while we were waiting in the counter there was music playing and we started to dance and the cashier started dancing too and gave us free cupcakes!!!
I've been going to disney almost twice a year for about 14 years and you've told me things i wish i knew before. this video was very helpful for my upcoming trip. thank you!!!!
First aid stations hand out free medicine like tylenol, advil, aleve, etc. Great if you get a headache during the day. The babystation is also an outstanding break if you have a toddler. They have a play room with Disney movies on and toys. Also some of the resorts have free special events so make sure you ask at the desk so you don't miss something unique.
I love his. Just got hired on as a cast member and will be starting in October 2018. I will be blogging my journey as well. So happy to be a part of the happiest place on earth!
You literally have been the best "Disney Tips Video" like EVER!!! Thank you so much for all these awesome tips and information!!! So cool, can not wait for my next trip with the hubby!!!
Another place I love to go to is Disney Boardwalk, you have to pay for parking but it's so nice and you can even walk up to the gates of hollywood studios after riding on the little boat.
This will definitely help me! I'm going to Disney world in 16 days. It's my first time there. I'm traveling all the way from Argentina with my brother. So, it's kind of a big deal. I have a question for you. Does uber works inside of Disney? 💛
Me and my mom like to think of our selves. When we watched this video we were astonished at how much we did not know. This video was extremely helpful. I would definitely recommend this video to anyone who is looking for ways to save on a disney vacation.
This is brilliant! I was pretty sure that I knew all the tips and tricks at WDW, but you've proved me wrong! This was a very helpful video, thank you!!
My brother is allergic to peanuts and while we were at the Cinderella dinner, they made him a special dessert with fruit and ice cream and chocolate and it was so good! So definitely ask about special foods if you have an allergy too!
If you stay at the Wilderness Lodge you can be the Flag Family, you get to raise the flags over the resort and you get a certificate. If it's your birthday you can get a call from Mickey wishing you a happy birthday. The Bus Driver can have a special announcement that a Disney Princess is on board and everyone should be on their best behavior. If you want to save some money you can "Rent" DVC points from a member by using a Broker (a middleman) you can save a lot of money and if you get a 1 bedroom you get a full kitchen with everything you need to cook a meal which saves you even more money and you can get groceries delivered to the room. You even have a washer and Dryer so you can bring less clothes, the studios don't
The information isn't stored on the band. The reader scans the band and looks for the account it is connected to. So if you lose it, no sweat. Just open your MDE app and deactivate the band and head over to guest services to get a new one. Since the band is attached to your account someone else cant use it to enter parks and without your pin they cant make charges and they cant use it to access your hotel information to see where your room is. Be sure to deactivate it though since if they do know where your room is, they will be able to access it, so deactivate it first, then go to guest services to get a replacement.
Thanks for the tips! I'm leaving tomorrow for Disney World and I'm so so excited. I've been once before but I wasn't as into it as I am now. So excited to make my experience super memorable this time!
It went great! Bring your own water bottle into the park (plastic or refillable, just NOT glass since they don't allow glass into the parks) Make conversation with cast members. They may give you something extra or they may not but it feels great to connect with them anyway. If you're looking to meet a lot of characters, set aside a whole day for it and then go back to the park another day to do rides and stuff. If you like attention, get a birthday pin even if it''s not your birthday. A cast member told me that they pay the most attention to birthday pins because it's easier for them to identify them rather than reading whatever you wrote on the celebration pin Bring a small bag/backpack with a light rain jacket or umbrella and a light pair of pants that you can roll up really tight and put in the bottom of the bag. You can also bring a sweater if you want but whenever I wanted a jacket I just put on my rain jacket. If you need a break in magic kingdom, sit down by the castle. They do shows on the castle (idk the schedule of them) and it's super cute. If you like food, plan to spend a whole day in the world showcase trying all different kinds of food. Test Track (Epcot) isn't worth anything more than a 90 minute wait.
Girl, thank you so much for this video! I've subscribed! I haven't been to Disney World since I was 12 and in December I'll be going back with my husband and kids! Thank you for these tips!!
I have to you, I haven't been to Disney World or Epcot in 30 years...yeah, I said thirty, but now I can't wait to go again! And BTW, you are hella funny and you need your own sitcom!
My Husband and I celebrated our Honeymoon once before actually being Married and got a free Red Velvet Cake. Then we celebrated our Honeymoon on our actual Honeymoon, and not much happened, other than getting "Congratulations". Still a nice feeling, though. We'll probably celebrate our Honeymoon, again xD
While I love my Dole Whip and turkey legs and such, you can also bring in your food to Disney! So if you're on serious budget mode, bring not only the fluids in (don't forget your Mio) but the food too! Thanks for the video!!!
They have charger links that you can use to charge phone while moving around and when it’s dead drop off in the slot and they give you a new fully charged one but I’m not sure what they are called or how much they cost
When you talked about chargers, I was gonna comment about the fuel-rod, but then you mentioned it, but, if you don't mind, I would like to add, that yes, you pay thirty bucks for it, but if you are staying for a week or so, you can exchange it for free at certain places in the parks and at your resort. And you can charge them overnight, and bring them home with you! Depending on how long you stay and how often you charge your devices, they pay for themselves. It occurs to me now that this video was made in 2016, and they may not have had this feature yet...sorry.
The cast member one is 100% true because me and my mom and I were waiting for my dad to get off star tours and this cast member came up to us and asked what we were doing and we told him that we were going back to the hotel and he said "she wants to ride toy story again" and he gave us a fastpass!!!!
Thank you we are planning our trip from UK ! This has really helped ! Been wondering if the refillable mugs can be used for hot drinks ! We've just done a vid on the Disney on Ice UK our channel . We were so excited at a just couple of hours of Disney fun so can't wait for a big trip ! We've subbed
On my bday I got a card signed by the characters and a really nice little cupcake and I think they also sang me happy bday it was so nice I was like five at the time😊
Just found your channel and subscribed. But glad you mentioned the Disney Visa because I just got it :) is there a limit on how many people can come with you to the visa lounges or character meets if you are the only card holder? I've seen vlogs with 1-3 people, but I am going with 8 people and I am the only card holder : /
My girlfriend and I went immediately after rope drop. The tree was not yet decorated and there was a box of ornaments below the tree. We were never offered to decorate the tree, and there was a whiteboard where we could make out the name of the name who decorated the tree the day before (the marker had been wiped off). I think they give the first child or children the opportunity to decorate the tree, but not adults without children.
Hi Miranda! Love the video! Heading up there from Brazil for our honeymoon. I would love to know where your t-shirt is from. Could you tell me? Thanks so much!
Do you have to be staying in a resort for these things, like the phone charging at guest relations? Just as I'm going next year and wont be staying in a Disney Hotel?
Hi! Love your Insta and your channel! Apologies if you've already been asked this, but where did you get that stained glass Beauty and the Beast artwork?? Was it from somewhere in the parks?
I went to Disney on my spring break one year when I was in college. Adam Friedman I
I had an extreme anxiety attack and Mickey and Minnie walked me to the front desk and stayed with me till I got calmed down and back with my group.
Loved this video! Usually all these "tips and tricks" videos say a lot of the same things but a lot of yours were different and all were very informative! Thanks!
Yay, I'm glad they helped!

Madi Jenkins 75th????!!! Wtf i'm shook
Do you go like every other week holy crap
Lucky here I am scrapping change to give my kids a decent vacation
We've gotten a free meal, many free desserts, and fast passes all for just being nice. Manners matter!

Me that is awesome 😎
Lucky!!
my band went to Disney & after we marched, my friend & I went eat & we started a slight conversation with the lady that gave us our food so she gave us free cake.
hey any tips about going with your band? I'm doing that this summer :)
Great tip on the refillable mug! I'll pick on up right when I get tot he resort.

Most soda machines have a water tap.
Note about souvenir cups. Although you may only be officially able to fill them in resorts, no employee will bat an eye if you fill them at any public soda fountain in the parks.
Your helpful hints are the bomb
Thank you, friend!

we rope dropped pirates and rode completely alone! it was so cool
My family and I are going next month so I really appreciate your unique tips!
Yes! Be nice is the best tip! My daughter got a free treat from the bakery on Main Street right after rope drop, and all 8 of us got a sample!

This is so great to hear! Thank you!!
Chase Michael I bet u have
That was SUCH a helpful video, I've watched several "tips and tricks" vids and yours were almost all new to me. Thanks!!
First aid stations hand out free medicine like tylenol, advil, aleve, etc. Great if you get a headache during the day. The babystation is also an outstanding break if you have a toddler. There are also boats to Disney Springs from Old Key West and Saratoga Springs :)
I stayed at the port orleans French resort and it was so magical and the little boat ride was so cute
You can meet Flynn now at a new Character Breakfast at the Boardwalk!!!
Liz Niemiec Yes, I know! The character breakfast doesn't start until next month but I have reservations for my April trip and I'm very excited :)
Amy Iaquessa Aw thank you!! I'm glad it was informative!
11:08, I rode test track when it was raining, it was super fun. It felt way faster. Same with Mt. Everest it felt like i5 was snowing.
Another place I love to go to is Disney Boardwalk, you have to pay for parking but it's so nice and you can even walk up to the gates of hollywood studios after riding on the little boat.
Thank you I didn’t know about the Disney Visa lounge in Epcot!
I am going to Disney world next year for the first time with my whole family and this was a great help!
Florida tap water. Not for the weak, haha.
omg... I love your energy and I'm so glad that someone is as insane about Disney as me!!!! THAT MAGIC BAND HOLDER!!!
That is the cutest dog I've ever seen!
This will definitely help me! I'm going to Disney world in 16 days. It's my first time there. I'm traveling all the way from Argentina with my brother. So, it's kind of a big deal.
I have a question for you. Does uber works inside of Disney?
💛
Sol Midori I have read that they do 🙂
Hi Sia! Both Uber and Lyft work in WDW! I just got back from a trip and used Lyft multiple times!!
I saw your snaps ;) thanks for answering... would you post vlogs from the trip?
Sol Midori I unfortunately didn't vlog this trip, but I hope to do it on a trip soon! Glad you were able to follow my snaps :)
Where did u get the beauty and the beast picture and frame behind u stain glass its perfect loved it.
Thank you for these tips! My first trip to Disneyworld will be in August for my 21st birthday, I can not wait💖
Me and my mom like to think of our selves. When we watched this video we were astonished at how much we did not know. This video was extremely helpful. I would definitely recommend this video to anyone who is looking for ways to save on a disney vacation.
I apologize we do not like to think of our selves. We like to think of our selves as Disney Experts.
Awesome...plus Hidden Mickeys and resort hopping.
One time I saw Snow White and Mary Poppins on the same day in Epcot around the World Showcase. And got to ride the Skyliner.
Excellent tips!!...I've had 12 trips to Disney World so far and you just taught me a few new tips...thanks and you did a great job!
Thank you so much! Glad you were able to learn a few!! :)
I'm going to Disney world in 2 weeks for spring break and I am so excited 😀
Wow this is a great channel! Definitely a lot of potential. Please make more! Or do a vlog at WDW :)
Adorable video, great tips! Wizard Mickey talks!!!? We are going Sunday!!!
You can find (talking) Magician Mickey in Town Square at Magic Kingdom! :) Have a great time!!
I didn't know that you could wear different magic bands during the same trip! Thanks!
The information isn't stored on the band. The reader scans the band and looks for the account it is connected to. So if you lose it, no sweat. Just open your MDE app and deactivate the band and head over to guest services to get a new one. I know this is an older video but where did you get your tshirt?! I love it!
Tiffany Boatner it's from The Home T!!
Tiffany A. I was thinking the same thing. I love that t shirt too!
We were just at Disney The first week of February 2017 and the refillable mugs do have handles again.
The Wandering Wife yes, I noticed that when I was there last week! Too many people must have complained ;)
I think you're right. I like the handles because I can hold 3-4 at once, and I can run my purse strap through it and carry it into the park.
Magical Moments by Miranda 😋🍒🍗:-D
I didn't know the refill cups could be used for coffee. I am going to have to try this ( I drink lots of coffee).
I am going to disney world in September and this video really helped!
Great tips thank you, where did you get your t shirt from? Saw a few people wearing similar ones last year but couldn't see them for sale?? 😊
Kerrie D Most of my Disney shirts are from small businesses, not sold at or by Disney. This particular one is from The Home T.
Magical Moments by Miranda thank you Miranda 😉
going to Disney is 3 days...this gave me some inside tips!!! YAyYy!!
Great tips!! That really was helpful for my trip upcoming!!
Thanks for the tips! I'm leaving tomorrow for Disney World and I'm so so excited. I've been once before but I wasn't as into it as I am now. So excited to make my experience super memorable this time!
Margaret Elizabeth how'd it go. Any tips?
It went great!

Margaret Elizabeth where Is world showcase? Thank you for the tips.
World Showcase is in Epcot!
very helpful ...thanks.
My favorite tip is if you aren't staying on property or even if you are you can have anything you buy (other than food) shipped right to your home!
And BTW, you are hella funny and you need your own sitcom!
thanks for the video! we are planning a trip in about 2 years!
For the ride swap- did you mean only one of the adults need to use their fast pass? Even if both adults will ride one after the other?
My Husband and I celebrated our Honeymoon once before actually being Married and got a free Red Velvet Cake. Then we celebrated our Honeymoon on our actual Honeymoon, and not much happened, other than getting "Congratulations". Still a nice feeling, though. We'll probably celebrate our Honeymoon, again xD
Great tips. I did not know about the character training spot. Is the wine walk anytime or just during food and wine festival?
It is ALL THE TIME! Which makes it so great!!
Take Crystal Lite or Mio to help the taste of the water
Rope drop buzz lightyear's space ranger spin if you like it. No excuse not to. That ride usually has an 60+ minute wait
While I love my Dole Whip and turkey legs and such, you can also bring in your food to Disney! So if you're on serious budget mode, bring not only the fluids in (don't forget your Mio) but the food too! Thanks for the video!!!
Thank u so much !!!! these tips helped me a whole lot!!!
They have charger links that you can use to charge phone while moving around and when it’s dead drop off in the slot and they give you a new fully charged one but I’m not sure what they are called or how much they cost
Jenni Wilson I believe they are called Fuel Rods and I think they are in Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom.
We leave to wait Disney tidy thanks!!
How does the Christmas Tree decorating work? Is it year round?
Desiree Loyola Yes it's year-round! Every day!!
Omg I'm so glad I can have Mickey waffles as a vegan, I used to love them when I was younger!
I'm going next year, first week of April, and this helped a lot! Thank you so much! 😊💗
Adore the decorations! You should do a room tour!
The cast member one is 100% true because me and my mom and I were waiting for my dad to get off star tours and this cast member came up to us and asked what we were doing and we told him that we were going back to the hotel and he said "she wants to ride toy story again" and he gave us a fastpass!!!!
i love your channel! you make amazing content. i also make disney videos so it's great to see other disney related content !!
Harry's World UK how exciting!! Yes - a lot of people use the refillable mugs for coffee at the resorts!
Bring a brita water bottle to filter the tap!
On my bday I got a card signed by the characters and a really nice little cupcake and I think they also sang me happy bday it was so nice I was like five at the time😊
can you still get a passport stamped when you don't want wine and would you have to pay for it
Brilliant video
Just found your channel and subscribed. But glad you mentioned the Disney Visa because I just got it :) is there a limit on how many people can come with you to the visa lounges or character meets if you are the only card holder? I've seen vlogs with 1-3 people, but I am going with 8 people and I am the only card holder : /
For the decorating of the christmas tree, is it first FAMILY or can I go in solo and possibly do it? :)
Can I visit ESPN wide world of sports? Even if there’s not any events going on? I heard there’s a gift shop and restaurant!
Where did you get that bridal veil Minnie ears?!?
Hey girl! Where Do you start the wine tasting in Epcot?
Angelica Cloutier you can start at either France, Italy, or Germany! Doesn't matter which one! :)
Hi Miranda! Love the video! Heading up there from Brazil for our honeymoon. I would love to know where your t-shirt is from. Could you tell me? Thanks so much!
Julie Philippe hi Julie! It's from The Home T
Where is that beauty and the beast piece from .?😍
Both Cogsworth and the stain glass were purchased from the Disney Parks!
lol we call it tushy water. Yes , we ordered pizza late... it cost about 36 dollars for one pie haha... but at least it tasted good.
Do you have to be staying in a resort for these things, like the phone charging at guest relations? Just as I'm going next year and wont be staying in a Disney Hotel?
Mariah Bates You don't have to be staying on property to take advantage of Guest Relations!
That's marvellous, thank you for the reply!
Less Than 3 More Weeks Until Me, My Wife And Both Our Families Go On Our Disney Land And Sea Vacation!
