By far the best Skynyrd album of the Johnny Van Zant Era. This song is phenomenal! Ed King's slide is out of this world. RIP Gary. RIP to the others on this album no longer with us and of course all the other Skynyrds we have lost over the years. You guys rock!!!
True talent is dead. Nobody can play like this anymore, not even if they're doing a cover. It will never be as good until something Big changes. Everything now is auto tune and digital, and modern music is trash. My friends and I are in a band, and we make music very similar to this, our lyrics, and mindset is very much that if Lynyrd Skynyrd.
@@Bls-of1ldSO WHAT they where part of Lynyrd Skynyrd And Artimus deserve his place like Rickey Medlock . All the bullshit talking of Originals or not. For me this is Lynyrd Skynyrd 2 but thats my opinion. I am a long time fan of Lynyrd Skynyrd from the start
Man I get chills all over everytime I watch this live version of this song..This performance as well as the musical and verbal input of this song is simply spectacular. Ronnie is smiling down from up above. Proud as a game rooster!
Gary🦅(My favorite 🎸) The Last Rebel.is a Beautiful Tribute to Gary Rossington. All his friends are Gone What a beautiful song❤ The acoustic version with Ed and Johnny and Gary is also a beauty 🎸gig
I bought a ticket for this show in 1993 to see them in Chattanooga TN and missed the concert because I got the call to go out with Confederate Railroad as support for them and I still have the unused ticket in my scrap book. I was very fortunate to have been in Nashville later that year and got to see the show from stage left and it was awesome. R.I.P Ed King I sure do miss you my friend...
WOW. JUST CAME ACROSS THIS VIDEO. OUTSTANDING BY JOHNNY AND THE BOYS. ITS MY 3RD FAVORITE SONG BY YOU GUYS. BEHIND SIMPLE MAN AND I NEED YOU. KEEP ON ROCKIN. YALL ARE AWESOME.
They were great and they have great musicians keeping the legacy going just like the boys wanted! So as long as Johnny and Rickey want to continue I see no reason to stop
