Abertillery Park - terrace restoration

Abertillery Aspirations are at it again! We have made a substantial start on the restoration of Abertillery Park terracing which overlooks Abertillery Blaenau Gwent RFC pitch. It has been left to deteriorate over many years so we decided to act now to transform it back to it's original state. We have removed a great deal of weeds & moss and have started the painting process revitalizing it white & green. But there's still plenty to do, it's a big undertaking and we need more help to speed up the process. Several people have already come to our aid by offering their time and skills, some have generously donated money towards paint costs etc. So please get in contact via the Abertillery Aspiration Group WhatsApp, keep an eye out for our next collaboration and come and join us and make a difference to the place where you live.

Superb stuff....my Mum & Dad come from Aber (& I spent first 3yrs of my life there) & I frequently returned to visit my Nan. Fond but now distant memories of visits to Abertillery Park....rekindled when I visited a year ago to see it all again & take some photos. I commend your efforts...top work

That is my childhood playground of nearly sixty years ago with my house at Cyril Place in the background. I have the great admiration towards people of this positive outlook on what can be done and do it. Well done fellers and I would give you a hand if i lived closer.
