    It costing you 300 per month to rent the apartment rather than occupying.

      Cost 350 bd to rent it , but why not own it and have an asset

      However you said "own rather than rent" but if the owner rents out the property, they can not live in it so they have to buy or rent somewhere else to live in Bahrain. And will also be paying 350bd for 5 years for someone else to live in the property they are buying.
      When investing in an asset, it should be cash flow positive or capital appreciating. However all the payments are capital repayment as it is zero interest so this can be viewed the same as it savings.
      What is the capital appreciation likely to be on this project? Do you have comparable?
