biomes change when you have 3 points into any of the biomes. decorations give 1 point, and upgrading the sleeping stones give two. that section of the farm you where working on has 3 dessert decorations. when you picked up the chair it became 3 points into dessert

Let me quickly explain melanistic vs amelanistic vs albino. Melanin refers to the compound that is known to make skin darker. Midnight is a melanistic T-Rex because he has a lot of melanin, making him solid black. Amelanistic means a lack of melanin. Like the word “Atypical” means not typical. So albino and amelanistic mean the same thing. Solid white or the lack of color in the skin. Loved the video, can’t wait for a part two!

Albino creatures actually have white scales or fur, and pink eyes, while I’m assuming amelanistic means the animal has white fur but not pink eyes, look at photos of white moose for an example.
@@Greatduck777 Albinism is basically Amelanism Extreme Edition; It is a complete lack of pigmentation, while amelanism is simply the lack of melanins (there is more than a single type of melanin, though we often refer to it as such). An amelanistic python, for example, would still have its patterning, but only in a soft yellow due to the lack of melanins but not a total lack of pigments; similarly, amelanistic cockatiels still retain their yellow and red colouration points because those are carotenoid-based pigments created by specialized cells called chromatophores. Mammals are somewhat unique in that the only pigmentations that they produce (including us humans) are melanins, so an amelanistic human is by default also an albino human.

@@KainYusanagi this is mostly true! However humans are one of the few stand-out animals. Other mammals can be amelanistic without being truly albino! For example a ‘blond’ raccoon is amelanistic, but they do not have pink eyes or sheer white fur.
I picked the common colour Anky too I think its the prettiest colour. A thing I discovered is the rarer Troodons have lil hearts on their chests. I have a river coloured one named Ghost and she is wonderful.

Man having a larger area sized group farm which can be separated into two people's areas or more would be so fun

Love this game. During this entire video I was thinking of my little friends I befriended. We both found the same Ultra Rare as our first! I named my Psittacosaurus Saturn.
I really wanted to enjoy the game, sadly there were too many issues with it for me personally to play it myself. Thank you for making this video, it makes me really happy to see that you had fun AND let us take part in your grand, cute adventure!
Do you mean it didn’t run very well? Which platform did you play it on? Just curious because I’d wanted to play it as well but I’m tired of all the games I play not running great.

@@number420dad Mainly that it stuttered really hard on my switch, the energy system, the running that drains stamina, overall speed of the game, big map without proper dinosaurs, speed of the game/needing a LOT of time and resources to get the right dinos for tasks. Most of them were personal taste issues since I played a lot of other sims before and this one felt really clunky and unfinished for the state when it released :)
Imagine if the Dinosaurs actually looked this adorable in real life, but we would never be able to tell from just their fossils. 🥺

I'm also one who'd always read "coel" as it looks, phonetically, haha. It took me years to finally remember how it's pronounced beyond the first three seconds after looking it up.
I waited for Paleo Pines to drop. I've never waited for a Steam game to drop like that. I need to get back to playing it. It's super cute!

I’ve studied dinosaurs my whole life and while This video has quite a few inaccuracies, I still love it (btw troodon is an invalid wastebasket taxa, which means it isn’t called troodon anymore)

4 ultra rares by day 68? What the actual fuck? I am about to begin year three and have not seen a SINGLE ultra rare so far in my playthrough. Almost every dino I have is a rare. But haven't seen one ultra yet.
I came back to rewatch this and I'm still jealous you found so many Albinos. I've been playing the game since it came out and I still haven't seen a single Albino.
Mine did that too for no reason. That section of the ranch turning to desert. And I can't get it to change back either. XD
The Styracosaurus NEVER gave me the option to pet it or rename it or whatever. I fed it thousands of shells worth of Juicy Poppins too. I kept the needle in the green and still, every time the tame failed.

How does one make dinos leave your ranch if you have multiple/don't need the specific abilities? Also I have an invisible droppings bug which has halted my play through of this game.
Whistle them to follow you out of the ranch then when you've left you'll have the option to play a flute song which will make them return to the wild ;)

I got an invisible dropping in one pen, when I changed the pen shape to exclude a tree, the issue went away. Apparently the invisible droppings are usually in trees or bushes.

My dinos would not become helpers. Maxed out friendships and it just wouldnt change. Couldnt get on with the game at all

It was fun, but I stopped playing after realizing the old gay black man was living with the shortest, youngest looking they/them, Pippin. It's one thing to represent diversity, but why does on old gay man live with a very young non-binary that he's in no way related to? They sneak this stuff in video games to normalize it for the young kids.
