The Mumbai Trans Harbour Link ('MTHL') has been planned to facilitate decongestion of the island city by improving connectivity between Mumbai city and Navi Mumbai . It was planned to build a bridge between Sewri on Mumbai Island and Nhava in the Navi Mumbai in order to speed up the traffic between Mumbai and Navi Mumbai and also to facilitate the traffic from Mumbai to Pune and Goa.

MH Government gave 10,000 CR subsidy more than GJ government (39,000 CR compared to 29,000 CR) , gave pre-allocated land parcel and met every demand. The private business wanted to setup in Maharashtra itself but it was forced away politically to Gujarat where it didn’t work as expected due to lack of availability of skilled labour. Protests were for a completely different project. Dont be blind 🤡

Heavy vehicles are not allowed same as eastern freeway.
Bro - there will be traffic Jam on exit and entry points made by Traffic police to collect their Sweets. So, you will find traffic later on.
@@pumredi think heavy vehicles and container trucks are allowed in this one.. there'll be easy access between jnpt and dockyard.. i think so..
exit on sewri is the point of discussion as heavy vehicles are not allowed on freeway which is where this bridge merges @@SinghalLouis

It is such a wonderful feeling to be proven wrong! I did not expect this bridge to open for the next several months. Now I hear that PM Modi will declare the bridge open on January 12th.
I have a suggestion for all the officials involved in such major infrastructure projects. Please be good at marketing the accomplishments. Do not keep people guessing on the opening date. You will earn more brownie points if you do so.
We are now guessing about the opening of Phase 1, the Aqua line between Aarey and BKC. Put a stake in the ground and declare when the section will be opened, and make it happen.

Great decision to used warm colour lighting instead of ugly blue LED's. I believe that shifting from yellow to white light for roads was a mistake.
Yellow light maje it look ugly. Do u use halogen bulbs 💡 in your house or LED bulbs?
@@betaalsbuddy1655 nope it gives the roads a nice vibe you just have bad taste. And it's not halogens vs LEDs. LEDs are available in warm white.
@@repeatrepeatrepeat no we have warm yellow led lights in our city. They are horrible, visibility got less also if there is little dirt on roads, rods look filthy in warm lights. It kind of create dipression type of environment n feel like we have came back to old halogen bulb times.
Visibility per wattage energy consumption is less for warm colors. White leds were very helpful to reduce the energy consumption while also increasing the visibility. White light is not a mistake. Even few cars prefer cold color for leds for better visibility.
@@SiddharthRaiyani Warm LEDs may be a tiny bit less energy efficient but disagree on the visibility part. For the same wattage, warm colours have more visibility, especially in rains. btw, I'm not asking for 2700k warm light. Even 5000k is enough to get rid of that awful blue tint that 6500k cool daylight LED's have.

To all of you, do watch former RBI governor on his new book launch at various platforms. He has said and asked some pretty good points, which as a nation should be discussed. I think we can't afford to discredit people, and regret later. Whatever political party each of us support, at the end, we are all Indians. If someone has something good and valid to say, they must be listened and rather saying "What i think and only i think is the best ". Bhai ye bridge utility wise toh sahi hai it will serve it's purpose of connectivity lekin aesthetic nahi hai 😢 ekdum flat bridge hai. It needed a big rising cable structure phir ye next level lagta but sadly aisa nahi hai. I see this as a missed opportunity to give Mumbai another iconic structure like bandra worli sea link.
Just imagine bandra worli sea link without that big cable section woh bridge kabhi itna iconic nahi banta. Those big towers in sea is what makes sea link amazing not just road on pillars
Nahi de sakte thay cable stayed bridge...it is an eco sensitive area with a lot of movement of flamingos...cables would have restricted their flying movement...also wind speed jyada hone ki wajah se cable bridge is not feasible

11:35 Jaideep, I did not understand the connection you make with ships passing below and OSD structure. If I remember old engineering lectures, OSD is a metal structure that is lighter and has higher stiffness index. So one uses it to make the overall structure weigh less, cost less yet make it rigid enough for heavy vehicular volumes. Please correct me if I’ve got it wrong. Hence, I did not understand your connecting it with passage of ships below.

#Toll should not be more then ₹5 / km, #toll in access of ₹120 will limit it's use as #majority people will hesitate from using it #multiple times. #People should be #fined for unnecessarily stopping on bridge & create nuisance. #speed limit should be 110 km / hr.

The bridge passes through Atomic plant and due to security reason Vision barriers are put to control anyone to see outside the bridge...it is done due to security reasons
