Hi J, just saw ur video and subscribed. Was just at Ocotillo Wells and it was very windy when I went as well. I do like that tent. Glad you pointed out what it lacked. I would probably put some grommets on the sides. Safe camping 🏕️!
Awesome, thanks for the subscription! Ocotillo is one of my favorite places, usually pretty windy though. I just moved to Texas so unfortunately I probably won’t be back there for a long time. I mentioned the grommets to the people that make the tent, maybe they’ll incorporate it into a future tent.
Being from Montana its crazy to watch someone season a steak inside their tent 🤣 Thats an easy way to become bear bait. But everywhere is different! Great video, love your chill attitude and I love people that like to get out there and just be away from all the BS. Cool dog too. I'm subscribing.
Yeah, fortunately the only worries we have in southern California is coyotes. I would never do that in the Sierras or somewhere like Montana! I usually carry protection regardless though and the dog is a good deterrent. Thanks for the kind words and the subscription!
that's funny you mention valley farm I live in la mesa and that's the only place where get my protein! shoutout from San Diego! solo camping is the best !! where did you go ? kinda looks like borrego springs.
Yeah, Valley Farm has one of the best butcher shops in San Diego! I was a few miles east of Borrego in the Ocotillo Wells off road area. Thanks for the comment!

They make a tarp clip thing u should put in your gear. U screw it onto what ever u need a tie out
