Thank you Leanne for speaking those words! We learned all about puberty and childbirth. When menopause hit, I realized that nobody taught us about that. I felt betrayed and discarded. In spite of all that, the 50's are best years of your life. Much more confidence and freedom!

I do a program called "opening channels". I found that when I consume animal fat, sweets, spicy stuff, caffeine, and "white flower the hot flashes show up. I'm 58, muscular , fit and have lots of energy. It's worth it to give those things up. It's what we need, really, real nutrition. It beats getting on meds and then suffering other side affects.

I’m 80 years young, been though menopause so I’m not just talking through a hole in my head, believe me angel girl, just relax and make life more about yourself. Tend to yourself first. (I know, the bible teaches us to put others before ourselves) I also know, as a country mother, we always put our childen and our families first. Menopause is also called “the change of life.” People say “I’m going through the change.” So, a change is necessary in order to navigate this smoothly. Turn the tables so your children can begin the practice of taking care of you, cause someday they’ll have to. Now is a good time for them to step up and start by understanding and being patient during mood swings. Your menopause experience is a tutorial for your girls, they’ll be navigating the same waters, so to speak. I just have to tell you, this is the beginning of your transformation into a different phase of your life. We (meaning you, me, all women) are warriors. We can do all things through GOD Who strengthens us. We have a choice, go thru menopause kicking and screaming or get into our big girl britches and glide thru gracefully. I love you, sweet soul.

I love winter and can't stand summer. I'm in Missouri and it's terrible here in summer! I'm always hot and sweaty. Gross! But I've never thought of this as hot flashes. I think I've been to hot all of my life. It doesn't happen when I'm in bed tho. Could this be hot flashes? I'm 61 and like I said it's always been this way. I do have brain fog. And it just keeps getting worse

I’m 65 now and I went into menopause when I was about 39 because I had a total hysterectomy. I had no idea that I would go directly in to menopause after the surgery so I didn’t know what was happening to me I got diagnosed with all sorts of things and nobody realized or thought about it that it was menopause. But the funny thing is not real funny my daughter was in puberty when I was in menopause that was a fast ride let me tell you love you

I’m thankful that more and more women are using their platform to spread the news of what happens to women throughout our lifetime. We go through SO much and no one talks about it. Women color things. We act like everything is fine. We downplay what we are going through because no one has ever talked about it - so we think we need to downplay it. Be in denial. Color things happy and chalk it up to us “being women”. It sometimes feels like no one wants to know about any of it. But that isn’t healthy or fair. We go through so much that men would absolutely plummet over. They couldn’t handle it. We try - so we need to talk and receive support.
You are a strong woman keep trucking on. You remind me of my Common Law wife's daughter accent and all. We were together for 7 years be fore she went to heaven. We were common law because I could not pay the $3000.00 per month prescription bill. Rick Scott the Gov removed her from all benefits on her death bed because I was going for mt first operation and listed her as a survivor on my bank account. We met at a C survivors parade in Fort Myers, Fl. We agreed that neither of us would tell the other what to do. We are both single minded. You know what means. We never had a single argument. There were times when we might grind our teeth a little but until she died in my arms we never had a fight. sorry for the short story.

Dr Christiane Northrup is a former OB/GYN. She is now an author, speaker, and advocate on women's health issues. I learned so much from reading her books and watching her speak on TV. Her information has been a huge help to me, from knowing the right kind of hysterectomy to get when I had to have one, to demonstrating how to keep and improve our balance as we age. I've never understood why she doesn't get more recognition. She and her information should be household words everywhere!

I just discovered Leanne Morgan and I have enjoyed full-on belly-laughs for the past few days. I'm known as the girl who rarely gets a joke or the one whose laugh is delayed by more than several seconds or I just straight-up admit I don't get it. But Leanne's humor is right up my alley and what a joy it is to belly-laugh in 2021! p.s. I did peri-menopause in my early 50's and finally finished menopause when I was 56 ... Leanne is so right-on about peri and full-on menopause as the most bizarre, uncomfortable time and no one talks about it.
Nobody ever said how important hormones were. Had a doctor actually said to me that I MUST have these hormones to function normally, I would have gone on them instantly. But not one doctor ever said that!!
Now that I am 54 and going through what Leanne is going through I am shocked to find that there's so little support in this day and age. There are so many medical advances I cannot believe that older women have been pushed to the back. The only OBGYN care is for periods and babies. God knows if men were going through this it would have been taken care of decades ago
Yes going through the menopause is a big deal - and my husband said if I dont think its happening its not happening - I said yep its happening - yes it is all controlled by God

If men got it they would have something to combat it by now. I am 51 and I don't know what day it is unless someone tells me, but when I watch Leanne I do laugh at her and myself. My granddaughter is 10 and we go on adventure"s together. An if you want to get your own back on your kids buy them babies glitter to take home. The parents love it. It makes up for the teenage years a little bit.

Oh shit Leanne. I thought all that was horrid, plus a really botched hysterectomy. Dentures 5 yrs later suck much worse. On top of that, all kinds of peripheral swelling that u cannot control due to terrible chro ic disease that can't be mansged anymore. There goes the hair, yep, it doesn't grow, lost color and falling out All those new leather pumps and ankle boots bout 2 yrs ago in bigger sz don't fit either. My point is, some of this needs to be talked about, like dentures. Oh gosh, taboo! U can make lotta comedy outta menopause, and thx for that, it"s hilarious. But, it can and does get a lot worse. How bout I can't rzke a shower unless it's nite, with only a candle. Can't look at urself in any mirror, except to blow dry ur lil bit of hair . Well, the face hasn't broken yet! Not only is your comedy great for women needing to laugh about the horrible things menopause puts us through and let's not forget empty nest syndrome but your big heart is putting you right where you should be and that's helping people. Your right about one thing for sure nobody tells you what's gonna happen when your just in your 40s. Hell I still felt young and then bam woke up one day mad at the world. I think your a great spokesperson for anything at this point in your life and I'll tell you a secret I just found out about women. My doctor says it mostly effects young women such as myself. I laughed and told him that was the first time in a long while that my name and younger had been put in the same sentence. I'm 48 and fighting breast cancer and its completely genetic. Since I was diagnosed in May I've learned that one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. If its genetic like mine they'll most likely be in their 20's 30's and yes 40's. Imagine Leanne that everytime you pass 7 women in Target 😉 one of them may already have it. Forgive my long comment but I just don't think there's enough awareness of this. You'd sure be a great spokesperson. I love you and please please keep making us laugh.

I just discovered Leanne Morgan and I have enjoyed full-on belly-laughs for the past few days. I'm known as the girl who rarely gets a joke or the one whose laugh is delayed by more than several seconds or I just straight-up admit I don't get it. But Leanne's humor is right up my alley and what a joy it is to belly-laugh in 2021! p.s. I did peri-menopause in my early 50's and finally finished menopause when I was 56 ... Leanne is so right-on about peri and full-on menopause as the most bizarre, uncomfortable time and no one talks about it.

Nobody ever said how important hormones were. Had a doctor actually said to me that I MUST have these hormones to function normally, I would have gone on them instantly. But not one doctor ever said that!!

Now that I am 54 and going through what Leanne is going through I am shocked to find that there's so little support in this day and age. There are so many medical advances I cannot believe that older women have been pushed to the back. The only OBGYN care is for periods and babies. God knows if men were going through this it would have been taken care of decades ago

If men got it they would have something to combat it by now. I am 51 and I don't know what day it is unless someone tells me, but when I watch Leanne I do laugh at her and myself. My granddaughter is 10 and we go on adventure"s together. An if you want to get your own back on your kids buy them babies glitter to take home. The parents love it. It makes up for the teenage years a little bit.

You know that woman would be so happy with some expensive beef jerky! You know, like hawaiian beef jerky or maybe the exotic janponeese beef jerky or even the very hard to find .... Ethiopian beef jerky (it has a light blue hue because the cows are from the mountains and eat ethiopian weed all day). She is great. We need to help this woman. Think about it.

@@DM-ct8gq I would give you an education about jerky, but I'm too busy at the moment. We make hawaiian jerky right here in Bufort, S.C. If you know the lady, tell her we'll pay her 100 bucks and 20lbs of jerky if she is interested in a gig at the "Squat and Gobble" restaurant. Think about it.

Oh shit Leanne. I thought all that was horrid, plus a really botched hysterectomy. Dentures 5 yrs later suck much worse. On top of that, all kinds of peripheral swelling that u cannot control due to terrible chro ic disease that can't be mansged anymore. There goes the hair, yep, it doesn't grow, lost color and falling out All those new leather pumps and ankle boots bout 2 yrs ago in bigger sz don't fit either. My point is, some of this needs to be talked about, like dentures. Oh gosh, taboo! U can make lotta comedy outta menopause, and thx for that, it"s hilarious. But, it can and does get a lot worse. How bout I can't rzke a shower unless it's nite, with only a candle. Can't look at urself in any mirror, except to blow dry ur lil bit of hair . Well, the face hasn't broken yet! Come to Tupelo, Ms Leanne. Your hilarious and so yummy. Not only is your comedy great for women needing to laugh about the horrible things menopause puts us through and let's not forget empty nest syndrome but your big heart is putting you right where you should be and that's helping people. Your right about one thing for sure nobody tells you what's gonna happen when your just in your 40s. Hell I still felt young and then bam woke up one day mad at the world. I think your a great spokesperson for anything at this point in your life and I'll tell you a secret I just found out about women. My doctor says it mostly effects young women such as myself. I laughed and told him that was the first time in a long while that my name and younger had been put in the same sentence. I'm 48 and fighting breast cancer and its completely genetic. Since I was diagnosed in May I've learned that one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. If its genetic like mine they'll most likely be in their 20's 30's and yes 40's. Imagine Leanne that everytime you pass 7 women in Target 😉 one of them may already have it. Forgive my long comment but I just don't think there's enough awareness of this. You'd sure be a great spokesperson. I love you and please please keep making us laugh.
