I’m really hoping the Raptors end up trading both Siakam and OG. I really wish we’d committed to a rebuild back in 2021 and have been wanting it more and more every season. We’ve missed so many great opportunities for trades already and I just want to get this over with before Scottie becomes our next Chris Bosh or Vince Carter. There’ve been trades for Tyrese Maxey, Shaedon Sharpe, Anfernee Simons, and Jalen Suggs possible in the past that aren’t available anymore. There’ve been opportunities where we probably could’ve traded for Tyrese Haliburton or Keegan Murray but those are also long gone. Any of them would’ve been a great co-star for Scottie. We got Kyle to play with DeMar and it worked out pretty well, we need to do something similar now or at least get the assets to make that trade in the future. Solid young players who could develop into starters like Nembhard or Moody and draft picks would be nice. Aside from the Raptors, I’m really hoping OKC makes a big splash. OG or Siakam would help them but I’d rather they get Lauri or Mikal. Both fit them team perfectly and OKC has so much draft capital, they could get pretty much any player they want. Seeing the Bulls blow things up would also be nice. I’m a bit worried they’re going to try to keep everyone but Zach and end up not making any trades. The Blazers also have a few guys like could move between Jerami Grant, Malcolm Brogdon, and Robert Williams. We’ll see if they do anything though. I imagine that team will be improving pretty quickly if they keep everyone though. Those 3 with Shaedon, Simons, Scoot, Ayton, and Thybulle should be a lot better than they’ve been.

I don’t see Curry approving any trade that includes Klay or Dray. GS would be nuts to trade the young dudes. The Warriors should try to pick up someone from the buyout market. I’d have to dig into other big name teams like GS or Boston to see what their schedule looks like, but I’d bet dollars to donuts neither of those teams have a 17 game stretch without consecutive home games.

I don’t see Curry approving any trade that includes Klay or Dray. GS would be nuts to trade the young dudes. The Warriors should try to pick up someone from the buyout market. Corey can be waived for someone . . . There’s a few more random dudes on the bench. Some can be waived or sent to the G League to open up a spot. Curry needs to recruit. I can’t even see veteran players wanting to join GS due to Draymond - it’s a catch 22. The team needs more length, two way players to boost the defense.

Only the Spurs, Hornets, and Grizzlies get a tighter whistle than we do, and those teams haven’t even cracked double digit wins. Weird huh?
Meanwhile GSW is all the way up at 8th in the league in FTA, shooting over 3 more per game than Denver on average. Oh yeah, and this was the 2nd time we’ve beaten you. The first time we beat you, you got 26 free throws to our 22 so it didn’t seem to help all that much.

Denver:
-We have one single 5 game homestand all season, and it’s near the very end of the season
-We only have 3 other stretches with a 4 game homestand all year.
-We’ve had a 17 game stretch between Nov 12th and Dec 14th where we had to travel for EVERY SINGLE GAME. Meaning we went over a month without consecutive home games.
-We (and CHI)have played more games than any team in the NBA so far, and we’re tied with the Jazz, Hawks, and Knicks for most away games played.
-In total, 60 of our 82 games involve us traveling between cities
Meanwhile the Lakers:
-Have three separate stretches where they play home games in 9/10 games, 10/11 games, and 6/7 games.
-Their longest stretch without consecutive home games is 8 games, as opposed to a 17 game stretch for the Nuggets.
- In total, the Lakers have just 53/82 games where they have to travel between cities (It would be 55, but they have two games @LAC that’s before or after a home game, so that saves them on travel twice)
If I’m trying to look at it as objectively as possible, I’d estimate that the NBA has basically handed the Lakers at least a ~2 win head start on the season overall due to scheduling, simply because of the way they have distributed home and away games (and travel days). I’d have to dig into other big name teams like GS or Boston to see what their schedule looks like, but I’d bet dollars to donuts neither of those teams have a 17 game stretch without consecutive home games.

Boston’s longest stretch w/o consecutive home games was only 9 games, but I will admit that they do have a particularly nasty schedule between Mar 5th and Apr 1st. In that time, they have to play 12/15 games on the road with FOUR B2Bs over that time frame, with three of those being Away/Away. The one saving grace during that stretch is that the actual teams aren’t too difficult, with only 3 of those games being against teams who are currently top 6 seeds and 8 games against teams currently out of the playoffs entirely. But still, it’s a tough stretch. Overall 58/82 games are games involving travel of some kind.
For GSW, their schedule was actually a little tougher than I imagined. They don’t have a 17 game stretch without consecutive home games like Denver, but they do have three separate instances of an 11 game stretch, a 10 gamer, and a 9 gamer. Their schedule is extremely streaky though, with several long road trips and home stands. As a result of that, they have fewer travel games than Denver at 57/82.
If Draymond stays a Warriors, you don't have to worry about blowing up the big 3 because he'll do it all by himself....again. That guy is not changing; he's gonna do something else to screw up the team's chemistry and rotation, like sucker punch, step on, spit on, cuss out another teammate or player or ref. He won't grow up in a Warriors uniform because for years now the team has reassured him that he doesn't have to ... because we need him "passionate" - as if playing passionately has anything to do with that. Forget Levine or Demor. Trade for someone like Caruso and get another player to replace TP. AD and Lebron plus reaves are good at scoring.
