I play Sub-Zero and make it a goal of mine to have an extensive kameo roster within my belt, that way I can cover all options to fill in any gaps, or counter any opponents. But if I face top tier characters like the ones you've listed, I choose to pick Ferra. Because in general Ferra is Sub-Zero's best kameo, she's mix-up city. As well as great for setups with pain-gain while you have an opponent frozen. You don't have to worry about the opponent you face, when you can play aggressive the entire game, and put massive amounts of pressure on them. Hence why Ferra doesn't require a Sub-Zero to think. Sub is meant to be a defensive player that punishes those who aren't patient, and controls the pace of the match. Ferra is the exact opposite of this.
