😂😂 “He doesn’t have to know yet” Love it! 👍
I’m a good friend, had to make it a climactic hunt for him! Didn’t want to find it too quickly 😂😂😂
Alex Icicle, Drone Detective !! (And you didn't have to climb any dangerous trees this time). All done without the aid of a safety rope or snow shoes !!
👍👍👍👍👍💯💯💯💯💯wow wow you find drönaren wow wow❤❤❤❤❤
Cheers
It’s good to see all this from your point of view. That’s still gotta be the best memory from the trip!
One of mine as well from the trip. Adventures are better shared
Can you stick a GPS tag inside the drone, somewhere, without unbalancing it too much? Could also be handy to stick one on the inside of the van window to aid navigation back to the van after pub-time!
For my personal drone, that’s my plan. I’ve 3d printed a little AirTag holder. I’m gonna stick to the unit.
What a great friend you are driving that distance to help him find it!! Good for you 👍
I couldn’t not after he asked
the alternator has a freewheel pulley. you must replace this.
That was the issue in the end and I did
What a friend you are Alex, amazing work, no wonder Adz was so grateful 👏👍
What a friend needs help and you’ve got the specific skill set to do it, it didn’t feel right for me to help
Great episode loved it when you didn’t tell him you’d found it haha. With the pulley on the drive belt will you get Ford to do it or do you have a compliment of tools to do it yourself? I’m always taking loads of tools with me in my van 🤣🤣
I had to keep him going for a bit longer.
it’s something I do myself. I’ve changed whole Altornators before, but not the pulley
Nice
Thanks
It was definitely an "EPIC SHOT " 😂😂❤
The stuff you can capture with the optical zoom lenses on a Mavric 3 is pretty amazing
So much fun to finally see your pov of that adventure. Just seen Adz before.
One of the fun side of hanging out with other creators. The views can see events from different POV on each persons style
@@MispronouncedAdventures In deed. Well done.
Loving the videos do you have any tips on van insulation for arctic vans 🤔
More insulation it’s better. I use PIR board on my van. But insulation only delays heat lose. You need a good heater to maintain it. I’d recommend at least a 4Kw/5kw diesel heaters
Cant believe you drove 10hrs to help Ad lol... brilliant..
Doesn’t feel morally right to say no when he’s asked me for help and I’ve got the specific skill set to help him locate it
@@MispronouncedAdventures A true Gent
A story of friendship with a happy ending with the drone, but not with that van problem. Hopefully you got it fixed. I believe we will see it in the next episode.
I always have time to help friends.
Ooooh the issues will the van I’ll be coming up for sure!
@@MispronouncedAdventures My 2008 Transit gave sometimes on hot days P0029 but it was a false alarm. I cleared that maybe about 20 times during those 8 years when I had it.
About two weeks ago I changed my Sunlight Transit camper to 2022 Sunlight which is built on Fiat Ducato.
Yeah it only happened for this two days and never happened again.
Enjoy your new van!
It's the over running alternator pulley seized. 👍
Yes you are right see our earlier exchanges - I guess its so cold the grease goes claggy
I’ve said the same to others it was a knackered Alternator clutch pulley. Vans got 148k miles on it. The part just died, I can imagine it’s much to do with the cold, just part will be warmer when running
@@MispronouncedAdventuresyeah, at those miles the needles in the OAP will just be worn out.
I've changed so many at much less miles, just a wear and tear item.👍
Yeah i wasn’t overly concerned i had done something wrong , just a worn part.
How could we not enjoy the content it’s amazing educational & fun.
Thank you!
What a rescue mission
Seems to be a strong/durable machine
Jim, the drones are pretty resilient when hitting trees it’s usually the ground which is the defining factor. Snow is reasonably soft.
Looks cooled well done for finding the Small pidgin
Pleasantly surprised we actually found it
Brilliant video and fair play to you helping adz 👏 I follow both of you great creators 🙌
Glad you liked it and follow both of us! I couldn’t not help him!
The poli of the dynamo is gone.
It was the clutch pulley
Another fab video Alex 👍
Thank you! A fun little hill adventure this one
Good work on the drone there 👍
I was rather impressed we found it to be honest
We didn't see the crash/fall but still can expect its quite good quality drone.
This footage Adz was taken is on his channel. It’s pretty amazing from a Mavric 3. Unfortunately he wasn’t record at the time of impact. It got of lightly as the snow is softer than mud or rock!
Can I make a suggestion. Glue and apple tag to the drone.
I made the suggestion twice to him! ( which I might of edited out of the video ), don’t know why DJI don’t include the same tech in our drone ( but maybe they don’t want to find it so you need to buy a new one! )
Good gosh think Im first comment. I was in that region in the early 90s, I remember being awed at the height of the snow banks in places. Coming from NZ it was quite an eye opener.
Indeed! First comment! Definitely a striking area of contrast where mountains meet the sea
Great vid, and nice to see the other side as watched adz video of the rescue.... We all need an Alex to call when in the artic I feel!
Quick quest, your poncho in the last few mins, what brand is it? Have admired it in many an episode!!
Always happy to help a friend, and it’s great to hear when viewers enjoy from both our channels get to see both sides of a story.
Glad you liked my poncho. It’s a insulated winter poncho, it’s a Fjällräven “Luhkka”
@@MispronouncedAdventures we have followed your 3 seasons you have done in the Nordics and also followed anyone else since that has gone - it has given us the incentive to go ourselves this year, so we head to Norway n Sweden in October this year, very much looking forward to it
Thank you for the info on the poncho I will go look!
Glad to hear you have been following for me for so long! Enjoy your own trip!
If your Alternator has a freewheel pulley it could be failing causing grinding/rumbling - a kind of it works then skids phenomenon - the tensioner won't cope with that jarring for long - the tensioner is not the fault it is the symptom - you need to get it fixed ASAP
You nailed it was the alternator clutch pulley failure and repair is coming up in the new few episodes.
@@MispronouncedAdventures Pleased you got it sorted Alex - I still run my 1997 Pergeout camper and am relieved it is devoid of electronics or turbo
@trevortrevortsr2 it definitely gave me a headache and I did get the confirmation of what I thought it was when it started to spit its internals out over the engine bay
@@MispronouncedAdventures I guess when it's super cold the grease gets very claggy and fails to lubricate properly - perhaps in Artic conditions a solid pully might be better? - maybe it is best to avoid blipping the engine until the engine bay is warmed through? I limited the DC to DC on mine to 20amps to limit the load - what are you running?
Moose is generally the most dangerous animal in Norway.
Holes in the snow; These are very common amongst the trees. And they're deathtraps for snowboarders. They end up going head first into them, then can't reach up to unlock their bindings, so can't rescue themselves, and end up freezing to death.
Shopping list for next winter expedition;
Snowshoes...
100% moose are. On the roads or to accidentally encounter on foot.
as for tree hollow under snow indeed. Definitely if alone and you get inverted when snowboarding. On foot with a friends last so.
I do have snowshoes now and use them later on the trip ( I’ve used them before ) . We don’t normally used them in Scotland even in deep snow, we just trudge through it 😂
Well done 👍
Thank you
Your tensioner rattling like that is caused by the one way clutch in the pulley on the alternator has seized
Indeed it was as I also says later in the video. it will become and issue in upcoming episodes
3:54 Which is kinda weird when you think about it, given that Norway is further North, South, West *And* East as over 90% of continental Finland
Shape wise Norway definitely a bit of a strange country! especially how it envelops the top of the Nordics
13: Winner again!
Everyone’s a winner
Watched a few of your videos now and quite enjoyed them.
Q. Do you think an electric winch with steel cable would be a good item to keep attached to your front end for emergencies. I also keep portable folding steel tracks in my SUV during winter driving just in case I am stuck in ice/snow. Easy to place underneath the tires and they work!
thanks
100% on the next van I’m planning for a winch. It would have been help this winter helping a few people out of ditches!
Is that code Cam Position sensor high voltage if that helps 👍👍👍
Interesting, on Ford information online comes up a adblue heater circuit “A” open voltage
Seems like Adz's real-life persona is a lot less grating than in his videos
He’s a good lad, I’ve known him for about two years now.
Great video. Could you please advise when this video was filmed?
Thank you. Filmed in towards the middle of February 2024, it’s also written in the video description
What's the odb ii device you have that gives you instant error codes. Would love one for my transit custom.
It’s a konnwei kw206 and yes its can read codes, not all, But generally
@@MispronouncedAdventures ace. Thx.
Rabbits and hares have more sex… @Adz lost for words!😂😂😂
Its a pretty hard statement to respond too
Hello interesting Video, you got to experience a lot of a snow and not only bad weather.
If I may ask I’m just curious not intending to offend you in any way but this is what I wonder often my self when I parked my van on a parking spot with a lot of space why someone is often ending up and standing very close to my van next to me instead of having like 20 meter space for quiet specially most vans use diesel heater. Just seen in the video you parked next to one 😂 I’m just curious and only asking 🙏🙏
Parked next to them in this case as they are my friend and were expecting me and i knew he had cctv camera on this van so he would know I got there at 4:30am.
I wouldn’t park close to someone If didn’t know.
@@MispronouncedAdventures I bet you encountered the same when you parked different spots in Norway ? Trying to stand alone with a little bit more space and often people ending up next to your van 🤣
Watch yourself flying drones with all the solar flares we are having.
This was records in February. I know solar flares can cause issues for sensitive electronics but I’ve never heard about issue with drone from other who live that far north
@@MispronouncedAdventures do you still have to do the "Waggle Dance" to calibrate them? Things have moved on a lot but they can still go rogue on you.
Never had to do that on my newer drones
👍🚐😎
Cheers
I hope mispronounced adventures mispronouncing AdzVentures was done on purpose 😂
I always say his channel wrong to be fair 😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂
Where is the disaster?
More his ( Adz ) disaster than mine. Mainly for Adz crashing his drone had most of his recently footage on it for his series.
it’s a cheap title to be fair. I’m away on a holiday in the dolomites and needs a quick functional title whilst working for my phone to get a videos out.
