He is just like that, it's not a traditional grip thing, as people who don't play the drums tend to think. He likes the mix all the 3 levels of the kit (cymbals, toms, bass drum) somewhat equally. Having splashes on the left side give him opportunity to balance the ride cymbal on the right when playing double bass patterns (he does that a LOT, but never the same figures, it's insane). and about the seven time: EVERYBODY counts with their mouth hahahaha \,,\

His drums professor used to use the rack toms that way. After a few classes, Bruno got used to it. Then he uses it until nowadays. He's a big fan of Virgil Donati. You will see a lot of Donati's paying and drum set up in Bruno's stuff.
