Another great video mate really well edited! Yup charity shops have crazy logic with some of their items and pricing. It’s even funnier when you see signs saying not taking donations due to stock overflow lol
Great video as always totally agree with charity shops being over priced. I always use gumtree as it is another source of picking up cheap games to trade in at cex
i totally get what ya mean with the charity shops mate, especially specific chains. I know theyre trying to do good work and get as much money for the causes as possible, but coz they don't really know what theyre really worth they can most of the time been way too much, but can also be way lower at the same time, which is good for us but at the same time i feel kinda guilty if i ever find something really good for cheap there. i work in a charity shop on the side and since i've been there, dvds, blu rays, but especially games and vinyl prices have been whipped into shape to be fair prices for collectors, but not to the point where you're getting them for way cheaper then you should. Before i got there, vinyls, no matter what they were, in that shop would all be 1.50, including ones that really shouldn't have been. we once got a sealed copy of nier automita and my colleage was very close to putting it out on the shelf for 99p before i stopped them. Its great for me as well of course coz i get first dibbs and lets just say i've managed to get some very good stuff since Ive been there.
Thanks I actually have 100 of the ones used for PS4, PS3 and PS2 etc I’m trying to get my money back for so could sell you them and post for a tenner through PayPal if you like.
I'm on PS5 so not sure if it'll work would be easier on Messenger my FB profile is here send me a DM if you like as I am also selling some of my collection so could also send you pics of spines of ones your collecting for to see if there's anything else you might like. facebook.com/profile.php?id=678355296
@@one_more_turn I'll do it shortly pal I'm just out at the minute. Going for a full ps3 set and I collect for Switch and PS4 so I might find something x
I actually do a complete U-turn on what I said about Puppeteer for this very reason (but with much more data) in the coming episodes, will make sense next week. theres a really good reason for the price drop and its much more significant than the last month too.
Charity shops should have a sale on their games to encourage people to buy them. There’s some overpriced games in my local one and they’ve barely budged despite the lack of overheads, and they are just PC games.
I feel like the whole approach of charity shops has changed, they see themselves as some kind of boutique now and as for PC games, most won't even work due to key codes which makes it even more ridiculous.
Its Ebay mate, really good heres a link for PS2 cases I use these even for PS3 and PS4/5 games www.ebay.co.uk/itm/255706417469 and Switch games I use these www.ebay.co.uk/itm/334579915020
I use something really similar to gumtree for guitar stuff, really good prices on there. If I ever get something really cheap and I can sell it for cheap on there while also making a profit I always do lol
@@one_more_turn my last comment got deleted but its called adverts (its full name is also the link so that could have been what got my comment taken down)
Charity shops are the same here in Ireland. One shop I go into every week hasn't sold one game in months because of the prices. €10 for Gran Turismo 4 as an example 🤨
Its annoying isn't it. I also know someone high up in a charity chain I won't mention but I know for a fact the outer image of none profit is far from the truth! They are essentially businesses who donate a proportion of their revenue to charity in reality.

Thanks Mitch appreciate that. Just feels like they're a waste of time visiting around me, which is annoying.

Thanks Alex, nice to know its not just me been a miserable sod.

In my area it is literally impossible to pick anything up without been ripped off let alone charged fairly, very frustarting
Good video you know exactly what you're doing!! Where do you get the protector bags from? Thanks

Puppeteer was £38 in cex less than 2months ago. Interesting to see it coming down.

Good stuff man
Thank you for watching

Lost in the dark 😍
Couldn’t help myself when I saw the price 😊
The Charity shops over press on everything I think now like £200 for a TV in the down the road from me its dumb asking for that
They want eBay prices which they will only ever get on eBay
I would understand if it was overpriced for resellers but its even overpriced for general public IMO for what they offer.
Where do you get your game case protectors from? thanks

Nice, is it a mainly music orientated site or are other stuff listed?
@@one_more_turn oh no its basically the exact same as gumtree really lol, I use gumtree sometimes but it's not as popular in Ireland
Do you mind sharing which site might be that people in my area use it.

What do you use to get the CEX stickers off. They are a nightmare.
Its something called sticky stuff remover but theres a process to getting them off I've made a video which will come out in the coming weeks
