As someone who grew up in central Oregon, when the kid says “if you don’t think this is cool, you’re probably wrong” I about lost it 🤣 great video, love the wood boat too 👌
This film was perfect for me as an angler and grandfather. It was so fun. Well done. Keep that little fella engaged in exploring the outdoors. Those bow and arrow casts were AWESOME. 😊
Well done video. You captured what the Lower Deschutes and all it has to offer very well. Congrats on some gorgeous redsides. There is nothing like spending time on the water with family though.
So know a majority of those spots. Walt, Zane, Lee and his wife, Frank and his buddy Jim and his son Nick and let's not forget the mayor. Only a couple things I miss about leaving, that's pretty close to the top. Thank you.
This is such an incredible video! What a great trip! Im planning a similar trip next may but ill be solo with a packraft or small single person inflatable. If you dont mind sharing, where did you put in and take out? Im trying to decide the best and safest float for a small vessel with my lack of experience rowing for maybe 3 days with camping. Thanks!
Thanks! The two safe, easy floats are Warm Springs to Trout Creek and Twin Springs to Mack's. Mack's to the mouth is the real multi-day adventure run but there are more serious rapids. WS to Trout Creek is really a full day or short overnight trip unless you want to stop and hike quite a bit. Some people set up camp and shuttle multiple runs to make it a longer trip. Twin Springs to Mack's is a bit longer so probably the go-to for a two-night float. There are no serious rapids in that run and lots of good water and camping. Also note that you need a tribal permit if you want to anchor and get out on the Warm Springs reservation side at all. Enjoy!
@@themckenziehouse Im so glad you mentioned the TS to macks stretch, it looks very promising. I had that WS to trout creek stretch in my head as the best option, but this looks awesome.
